• How to get all visible markers on current zoom level

  Here are some points: 1) I have some markers on the map and records associated with it on the right panel besides the map. They are connected via numeric id, which is stored as a property of marker. 2) All the markers are stored in an array. 3) When the user zooms in the map, records, associated to only visible markers should be shown on the right panel. So, how to get the list of all visible markers on the current zoom level? I've searched over the internet and didn't find something useful. • Changing text size on a ggplot bump plot

  Hi, I'm fairly new to ggplot. I have made a bumpplot using code posted below. I got the code from someones blog - i've lost the link.... I want to be able to increase the size of the lables (here letters which care very small on the left and right of the plot) without affecting the width of the lines (this will only really make sense after you have run the code) I have tried changing the size paramater but that always alter the line width as well. Any suggestion appreciated. • SharePoint People editor control - UpdatePanel postback issue

  Hi I've a people editor control inside an update panel. During postback, I need to update the value of people editor control based on some selection. Though the value is getting updated, it is not being persisted on postback. I can see the value being updated when I debug. All other controls inside the update panel are working fine and their values are updated on postback. I have read blogs that we need to set the style attribute "display:block" on postback, but that's not working for me. Any suggestions highly appreciated. Thanks

  Hi there, I have an emote selector that opens up when a user clicks an entry in a diary. The way I've worked it is that the emote selector panel lives hidden at the top of the page. When a user clicks on the 'emote control' associated with an entry, I use JavaScript to grab the HTML of the emote selector panel from the top of the page and insert it next to the entry. Using Firebug, here's what the finished product would look like in the page (snippet from element inspect). • Getting Windows XP colours in .NET

  I am trying to get a specific colour used by Windows XP in my .NET application. In Windows XP, if you go the Control Panel in 'category view', on the left hand side you have some 'See Also' options (Windows Update, Help and Support, Other Control Panel Options). The colour I'm trying to get is the light blue background colour shown behind these options. I don't need the hex/RGB value of the colour, as it can change depending on the style settings used on the desktop. My question is - is it possible to programmatically get hold of this colour in a .NET app? The colour doesn't appear to be in SystemColors, although it's very similar to SystemColors.InactiveCaptionText (and I think I can probably get away with using this). I'm just wondering if there is a way to get hold of the exact colour.

  Guys, I have a windows form with a panel control and inside the panel control are several other controls with a System.Windows.Forms.Tooltip attached to them. How can I iterate through each tooltip and set the Active property of the tooltip to false? Tooltips, unlike other controls, are not actually controls. The problem is that using the splitter is very sluggish. i would expect that a modern 2 GHz computer can re-display the form as fast as a human can push the mouse around. But that's definitely not the case, and it takes about 200-300 ms before the form is fully re-adjusted. The form has about 100 visual controls on it, no code, or custom controls. How do i go about tracing who's the cause of the sluggishness?

• ASP.net Text Box Enter button pressed hell

  Basically I have an asp.net website with login and search pages. Currently, I have no idea why, when ever a user hits enter in either of the login text boxes (user name/password) or in the Seach text box, the website is redirected to the default page. I have no idea why this is happening, I've tried setting defaultButton on both the panel containing the search and the login panel but that doesnt seem to work. I've also tried catching the key press event with javascript which isnt working either. I have no idea what event is being fired and why, or why it seems to override everything I try to do. Anyone seen anything like this before?

• How do you clear RootLayoutPanel in GWT?

  I have Buttons attached to elements on the modules entrypoint html page using RootPanel.get("foo").add(button). If I subsequently create a LayoutPanel and attach it using RootLayoutPanel.get.add(layoutpanal) then the buttons cannot be clicked. This is all fine. If I then try and remove the layoutpanel or clear the RootLayoutPanel the buttons still cannot be clicked. Any ideas how to clear this? Have I missed a step or should you simply never try and get back to using a page's RootPanel if you have used a RootLayoutPanel?   Hello, I would like to be able to click on an achor element from a page inside a jQuery tab and have that new page load directly inside the original tab. I cant use wx.AnimateCrl() because i need that image in memoryDC. Any help really appreciable.

• How can I avoid Windows 8.1 resetting my font size?

  I am using Windows 8.1 on my laptop, which has a 15.6" screen with resolution 1366x768. I measured the screen with a ruler and calculated its DPI, which is 101. Therefore, I have set the scaling to 105%. However, when I change to an external monitor, which is a huge one with resolution 1920x1080 and DPI 93, I need to change the scaling to 97% but when I change the DPI back and forth, my font sizes have get resetted. I prefer using font sizes 14 on my title bars, message boxes and icons and font sizes 13 on my palette titles, menus and tooltips. However, as my laptop screen is too small, in order to make my apps fit on screen, I use font sizes 12 on my title bars, message boxes and icons and font sizes 11 on my palette titles, menus and tooltips. I don't know why I can't resize the window to make it larger than my screen in Windows (but it is possible in Kubuntu), therefore, some parts of my apps cannot be shown with my preferred font size. I have tried changing both the DPI and the font size by using .reg files. However, on my laptop screen, after I applied the file, signed out and in, the DPI setting changed, but the font sizes were resetted to tiny, and I had to apply the same file, signed out and in again to get the correct font size. The situation is even worse on my external monitor. After I applied the file, signed out and in, both the DPI setting and the font sizes were resetted to their default values, which were 96 DPI (the physical DPI as measured by dividing the resolution by the physical size is 93) and font size 9, which is totally unacceptable. How can I write the .reg files such that the settings can be correctly applied with a single sign in?

  As i understand it, when a keyboard button is pressed it should invoke the KeyDown event for the control which has focus. Then, the KeyDown for the parent control, so on and so forth until it reaches main form. UNLESS - along the chain one of the EventHandlers did: e.SuppressKeyPress = true; e.Handled = true; In my case, KeyDown events never get to the main form. I have Form - Panel - button for example. Panel doesn't offer a KeyDown Event, but it shouldn't stop it from reaching the main form right? Right now as a work around I set every single control to call an event handler I wrote. I'm basically trying to prevent Alt-F4 from closing the application and instead minimize it.

• Garbage Collection leak? Scripting Bridge leak?

  Hello everyone! I'm always really picky about memory leaks and I cannot understand why my garbage collected application leaks. My code is entirely memory-managed and it runs great without garbage collection, not a single leak. However, as soon as I turn on garbage collection it leaks! Just to prove a point, why does this leak in a garbage collected app? (place this dummy code at applicationDidFinishLaunching:) NSOpenPanel *panel = [NSOpenPanel openPanel]; [panel beginSheetModalForWindow:window completionHandler:^(NSInteger result) {NSBeep();}]; Also, is there a way to prevent leaks in apps (garbage collected or otherwise) that use Scripting Bridge? it seems as if they all leak, even the sample ones in xcode. • Rounded corners on Divs. Problem with Internet Explorer only!

  Has anybody experienced any problems with creating rounded corners on Divs? I am using the jQuery plugin from http://jquery.malsup.com/corner/ The problem is that the top corners are not rounding in Internet Explorer. Works fine with Firefox! Anybody got any advice? • Sqlite. How to create an index in attached DB?

  I have a problem with adding index to memory database attached to main database. 1) I open the database (F) from file 2) Attach the :memory: (M) database 3) Create tables in database M 4) Copy data from F to M I would also like to create an index in database M, but don't know how to do that. This code creates index but in F database: sQuery = "CREATE INDEX IF NOT EXISTS [INDID] ON [PANEL]([ID] ASC);"; I tried to add the name qualifier before table name like this: sQuery = "CREATE INDEX IF NOT EXISTS [INDID] ON [M.PANEL]([ID] ASC);"; but SQLite returns with message that column main.M.PANEL does not exist. What can I do?

• Setting ID to a control inside repeater itemtemplate

  Inside repeater's itemtemplate I have a Panel server control. I need to assign special Id for it, because I need to work with some javascript functions that use this Id. In repeater ItemDataBound event I have this: pnlButtonsPanel.ID = pnlButtonsPanel.ID + DataBinder.Eval(e.Item.DataItem, "ID"); But this solution is not good because after a postback the page is re -rendered and I lose the new ID. (And I don't want to rebind repeater after every postback) I tried to set the ID on aspx page like that: <asp:Panel id='<%# Eval("ID") %>' and some other variations but always get compile errors.
