  • Java JRE 7 Certified with Oracle E-Business Suite

    - by Steven Chan (Oracle Development)
    Java Runtime Environment 7u10 (a.k.a. JRE 1.7.0_10 build 18) and later updates on the JRE 7 codeline are now certified with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i and 12 Windows-based desktop clients. What's needed to enable EBS environments for JRE 7? EBS customers should ensure that they are running JRE 7u10, at minimum, on Windows desktop clients. Of the compatibility issues identified with JRE 7, the most critical is an issue that prevents E-Business Suite Forms-based products from launching on Windows desktops that are running JRE 7.  Customers can prevent this issue -- and all other JRE 7 compatibility issues -- by ensuring that they have applied the latest certified patches documented for JRE 7 configurations to their EBS application tier servers.  These are summarized here for convenience. If the requirements change over time, please check the Notes for the authoritative list of patches: Apply Forms patch 14615390 to EBS 11i environments (Note 125767.1) Apply Forms patch 14614795 to EBS 12.0 and 12.1 environments (Note 437878.1) These patches are compatible with JRE 6 and 7, production ready, and fully-tested with the E-Business Suite.  These patches may be applied immediately to all E-Business Suite environments. All other Forms prerequisites documented in the Notes above should also be applied.  Where are the official patch requirements documented? All patches required for ensuring full compatibility of the E-Business Suite with JRE 7 are documented in these Notes: For EBS 11i: Deploying Sun JRE (Native Plug-in) for Windows Clients in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i (Note 290807.1) Upgrading Developer 6i with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i (Note 125767.1) For EBS 12 Deploying Sun JRE (Native Plug-in) for Windows Clients in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Note 393931.1) Upgrading OracleAS 10g Forms and Reports in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Note 437878.1) Prerequisites for 32-bit and 64-bit JRE certifications JRE 1.70_10 32-bit + EBS 11.5.10.2 Windows XP SP3 Windows Vista SP1 and SP2 Windows 7 and Windows 7 SP1  Forms 6.0.8.28.x patch 14615390 (Note 125767.1) JRE 1.70_10 32-bit + EBS 12.0 & 12.1 Windows XP SP3 Windows Vista SP1 and SP2 Windows 7 and Windows 7 SP1 Forms 10g overlay patch 14614795 (Note 437878.1) SSL Users:  10.1.0.5 version of Patch 6370967 applied to AS 10.1.3 with OPatch. Note: This fix is already included in the April 2011 AS 10.1.3.5 CPU patch and later. JRE 1.7.0_10 64-bit + EBS 11.5.10.2 Windows 7 (64-bit) and Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit) Forms 6.0.8.28.x patch 14615390 (Note 125767.1) JRE 1.70_10 64-bit + EBS 12.0 & 12.1 Windows 7 (64-bit) and Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit) Forms 10g overlay patch 14614795 (Note 437878.1) SSL Users:  10.1.0.5 version of Patch 6370967 applied to AS 10.1.3 with OPatch. Note: This fix is already included in the April 2011 AS 10.1.3.5 CPU patch and later.  EBS + Discoverer 11g Users JRE 1.7.0_10 (7u10) is certified for Discoverer 11g in E-Business Suite environments with the following minimum requirements: Discoverer (11g) 11.1.1.6 plus Patch 13877486 and later  Reference: How To Find Oracle BI Discoverer 10g and 11g Certification Information (Document 233047.1) Worried about the 'mismanaged session cookie' issue? No need to worry -- it's fixed.  To recap: JRE releases 1.6.0_18 through 1.6.0_22 had issues with mismanaging session cookies that affected some users in some circumstances. The fix for those issues was first included in JRE 1.6.0_23. These fixes will carry forward and continue to be fixed in all future JRE releases on the JRE 6 and 7 codelines.  In other words, if you wish to avoid the mismanaged session cookie issue, you should apply any release after JRE 1.6.0_22 on the JRE 6 codeline, and JRE 7u10 and later JRE 7 codeline updates. All JRE 6 and 7 releases are certified with EBS upon release Our standard policy is that all E-Business Suite customers can apply all JRE updates to end-user desktops from JRE 1.6.0_03 and later updates on the 1.6 codeline, and from JRE 7u10 and later updates on the JRE 7 codeline.  We test all new JRE 1.6 and JRE 7 releases in parallel with the JRE development process, so all new JRE 1.6 and 7 releases are considered certified with the E-Business Suite on the same day that they're released by our Java team.  You do not need to wait for a certification announcement before applying new JRE 1.6 or JRE 7 releases to your EBS users' desktops. Implications of Java 6 End of Public Updates for EBS Users The Support Roadmap for Oracle Java is published here: Oracle Java SE Support Roadmap The latest updates to that page (as of Sept. 19, 2012) state (emphasis added): Java SE 6 End of Public Updates Notice After February 2013, Oracle will no longer post updates of Java SE 6 to its public download sites. Existing Java SE 6 downloads already posted as of February 2013 will remain accessible in the Java Archive on Oracle Technology Network. Developers and end-users are encouraged to update to more recent Java SE versions that remain available for public download. For enterprise customers, who need continued access to critical bug fixes and security fixes as well as general maintenance for Java SE 6 or older versions, long term support is available through Oracle Java SE Support . What does this mean for Oracle E-Business Suite users? EBS users fall under the category of "enterprise users" above.  Java is an integral part of the Oracle E-Business Suite technology stack, so EBS users will continue to receive Java SE 6 updates after February 2013. In other words, nothing will change for EBS users after February 2013.  EBS users will continue to receive critical bug fixes and security fixes as well as general maintenance for Java SE 6. These Java SE 6 updates will be made available to EBS users for the Extended Support periods documented in the Oracle Lifetime Support policy document for Oracle Applications (PDF): EBS 11i Extended Support ends November 2013 EBS 12.0 Extended Support ends January 2015 EBS 12.1 Extended Support ends December 2018 Will EBS users be forced to upgrade to JRE 7 for Windows desktop clients? No. This upgrade is highly recommended but currently remains optional. JRE 6 will be available to Windows users to run with EBS for the duration of your respective EBS Extended Support period.  Updates will be delivered via My Oracle Support, where you can continue to receive critical bug fixes and security fixes as well as general maintenance for JRE 6 desktop clients.  Coexistence of JRE 6 and JRE 7 on Windows desktops The upgrade to JRE 7 is highly recommended for EBS users, but some users may need to run both JRE 6 and 7 on their Windows desktops for reasons unrelated to the E-Business Suite. Most EBS configurations with IE and Firefox use non-static versioning by default. JRE 7 will be invoked instead of JRE 6 if both are installed on a Windows desktop. For more details, see "Appendix B: Static vs. Non-static Versioning and Set Up Options" in Notes 290801.1 and 393931.1. Applying Updates to JRE 6 and JRE 7 to Windows desktops Auto-update will keep JRE 7 up-to-date for Windows users with JRE 7 installed. Auto-update will only keep JRE 7 up-to-date for Windows users with both JRE 6 and 7 installed.  JRE 6 users are strongly encouraged to apply the latest Critical Patch Updates as soon as possible after each release. The Jave SE CPUs will be available via My Oracle Support.  EBS users can find more information about JRE 6 and 7 updates here: Information Center: Installation & Configuration for Oracle Java SE (Note 1412103.2) The dates for future Java SE CPUs can be found on the Critical Patch Updates, Security Alerts and Third Party Bulletin.  An RSS feed is available on that site for those who would like to be kept up-to-date. What will Mac users need? Oracle will provide updates to JRE 7 for Mac OS X users. EBS users running Macs will need to upgrade to JRE 7 to receive JRE updates. The certification of Oracle E-Business Suite with JRE 7 for Mac-based desktop clients accessing EBS Forms-based content is underway. Mac users waiting for that certification may find this article useful: How to Reenable Apple Java 6 Plug-in for Mac EBS Users Will EBS users be forced to upgrade to JDK 7 for EBS application tier servers? No. This upgrade will be highly recommended but will be optional for EBS application tier servers running on Windows, Linux, and Solaris.  You can choose to remain on JDK 6 for the duration of your respective EBS Extended Support period.  If you remain on JDK 6, you will continue to receive critical bug fixes and security fixes as well as general maintenance for JDK 6. The certification of Oracle E-Business Suite with JDK 7 for EBS application tier servers on Windows, Linux, and Solaris as well as other platforms such as IBM AIX and HP-UX is planned.  Customers running platforms other than Windows, Linux, and Solaris should refer to their Java vendors's sites for more information about their support policies. • WPA2 authentication fails on Ubuntu 12.04 using Rosewill RNX-N1

    - by user94156
    Decided to reduce the clutter in the house and replace a wired connection with a wireless one on my wife's system using USB network device Rosewill RNX-X1. I can see and connect to unprotected network, but WPA2 authentication repeatedly fails. RNX-X1 works on other systems (including TV); also have 2 of 'em and tried each. Worth noting that I recently switched from Comcast to CenturyLink and so switched routers. The system connected successfully to previous router (Linksys EA4500) using WPA2. Would think it is the router (Actiontec C1000A) but all other devices (TV, iPad, Windows, Blackberry, and Squeezebox) connect ok. Would appreciate some diagnostic guidance and insight (phrased for a newbie!) • CSS: Why is my floated <span> being displayed below an <a>nchor in IE6/7 but not IE8/FF

    - by gsquare567
    i'm getting this weird CSS bug in ie6/7 (but not in ie8 or firefox): for some reason, my nchor and , two inline elements, which are on the same line, are being displayed on different lines. the span is floating to the right, too! heres the HTML: <div class="sidebartextbg"><a href="journey.php" style="width:50%" title="Track past, present and future milestones during your employment">Journey</a> <span class="notificationNumber">2</span> <!-- JOURNEY COUNT: end --> </div> and here's the CSS: .sidebartextbg { background:url("../images/sidebartextbg.gif") repeat-x scroll 0 0 transparent; border-bottom:1px solid #A3A88B; font-size:14px; line-height:18px; margin:0 auto; padding:5px 9px; width:270px; } .notificationNumber { background:url("../images/oval_edges.gif") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent; color:#FFFFFF; float:right; padding:0 7px; position:relative; text-align:center; width:17px; } so: why would the floated span be displayed on the line under the nchor? thanks!

  • My code is really slow in IE8. But in Safari,firefox,chrome it works great.

    - by bamic01
    Hello all, iam stuck now, i really hope if somebody can tell me the problems what i really don't see. The problem is is the menubar works great in Safari,FF,Chrome. But when i open IE8 its so slow when i put my mouse cursor on another menu area. Or better the entire menu is just so slow! html id & class are <div class="oe_wrapper"> <ul id="oe_menu" class="oe_menu"> this is my javascript code: $(function () { var $oe_menu = $('#oe_menu'); var $oe_menu_items = $oe_menu.children('li'); var $oe_overlay = $('#oe_overlay'); $oe_menu_items.bind('mouseenter', function () { var $this = $(this); $this.addClass('slided selected'); $this.children('div').css('z-index', '9999').stop(true, true).slideDown(300, function () { $oe_menu_items.not('.slided').children('div').hide(); $this.removeClass('slided'); }); }).bind('mouseleave', function () { var $this = $(this); $this.removeClass('selected').children('div').css('z-index', '1'); }); $oe_menu.bind('mouseenter', function () { var $this = $(this); $this.addClass('hovered'); }).bind('mouseleave', function () { var $this = $(this); $this.removeClass('hovered'); $oe_menu_items.children('div').hide(); }) });

  • Why doesn't AJAX History work in IE7 as it does in IE8 and every other browser?

    - by Nick
    I have two ASP.NET pages, say page1 and page2. Page1 contains an update panel and I use AJAX History to allow browser back/forward button support. Users can navigate to page2 via page1 - I do a response.redirect server-side so that I can store in a session what options were on page1 when they left. On page2, a user can click the back button and return to page1 with it displaying what was there prior to navigating to page2. You can click the back button again on page1 to go back to other selectively chosen history states. This all works great in IE8, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. However, in IE7 it doesn't. The user can get back to page1 from page2, but when they click the back button again it doesn't show the previous states of page1 - it displays the original page load content. The history data looks to still be encoded in the url when using ie7 but is not working for some reason. Does anyone know why this is happening in IE7 and how I can get around this? It really needs to work in IE7 as most of our users are on IE7. Please help.

  • IP address reuse on macvlan devices

    - by Alex Bubnoff
    I'm trying to create easy to use and possibly simple testing environment for some product and got some strange behaviour of macvlan's. What I'm trying to achieve: make a toolset for one-line start/stop of lxc containers(via docker) bound to external ip(I have enough of it on host machine). So, I'm doing something like this: docker run -d -name=container_name container_image pipework eth1 container_name ip/prefix_len@gateway and pipework here does this: GUEST_IFNAME=ph$NSPID$eth1 ip link add link eth1 dev $GUEST_IFNAME type macvlan mode bridge ip link set eth1 up ip link set $GUEST_IFNAME netns $NSPID ip netns exec $NSPID ip link set $GUEST_IFNAME name eth1 ip netns exec $NSPID ip addr add $IPADDR dev eth1 ip netns exec $NSPID ip route delete default ip netns exec $NSPID ip link set eth1 up ip netns exec $NSPID ip route replace default via $GATEWAY ip netns exec $NSPID arping -c 1 -A -I eth1 $IPADDR And it works for first time per IP. But for second time and later packets for containers IP isn't getting into container, while all configuration seem fine. So it looks like this: External machine ? ping 212.76.131.212 ....silence.... Host machine root@ubuntu:~# ip link show eth1 2: eth1: mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP qlen 1000 link/ether 00:15:17:c9:e1:c9 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff root@ubuntu:~# ip addr show eth1 2: eth1: mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP qlen 1000 link/ether 00:15:17:c9:e1:c9 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff root@ubuntu:~# tcpdump -v -i eth1 icmp tcpdump: WARNING: eth1: no IPv4 address assigned tcpdump: listening on eth1, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 65535 bytes 00:00:46.542042 IP (tos 0x0, ttl 60, id 9623, offset 0, flags [DF], proto ICMP (1), length 84) 5.134.221.98 212.76.131.212: ICMP echo request, id 6718, seq 2345, length 64 00:00:47.549969 IP (tos 0x0, ttl 60, id 9624, offset 0, flags [DF], proto ICMP (1), length 84) 5.134.221.98 212.76.131.212: ICMP echo request, id 6718, seq 2346, length 64 00:00:48.558143 IP (tos 0x0, ttl 60, id 9625, offset 0, flags [DF], proto ICMP (1), length 84) 5.134.221.98 212.76.131.212: ICMP echo request, id 6718, seq 2347, length 64 00:00:49.566319 IP (tos 0x0, ttl 60, id 9626, offset 0, flags [DF], proto ICMP (1), length 84) 5.134.221.98 212.76.131.212: ICMP echo request, id 6718, seq 2348, length 64 00:00:50.573999 IP (tos 0x0, ttl 60, id 9627, offset 0, flags [DF], proto ICMP (1), length 84) 5.134.221.98 212.76.131.212: ICMP echo request, id 6718, seq 2349, length 64 ^C 5 packets captured 5 packets received by filter 0 packets dropped by kernel 1 packet dropped by interface Host machine, netns of container root@ubuntu:~# ip netns exec 32053 ip link show eth1 48: eth1@if2: mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN link/ether b2:12:f7:cc:a1:9d brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff root@ubuntu:~# ip netns exec 32053 ip addr show eth1 48: eth1@if2: mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN link/ether b2:12:f7:cc:a1:9d brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff inet 212.76.131.212/29 scope global eth1 inet6 fe80::b012:f7ff:fecc:a19d/64 scope link valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever root@ubuntu:~# ip netns exec 32053 tcpdump -v -i eth1 icmp tcpdump: listening on eth1, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 65535 bytes ....silence.... ^C 0 packets captured 0 packets received by filter 0 packets dropped by kernel So, can anyone say, what can it be? • Ubuntu 9.10 x64 has no sound, while Ubuntu 9.04 32 bit does.

    - by Macha
    I installed Ubuntu 9.10 x64 recently. Up until now I've been on 32 bit Ubuntu. For the first time since installing it, I went and tried to play a Youtube video. There was no sound. So a quick test to the system reveals that nothing will play sound (And I've tried turning the volume too full, as some have said output is quite quiet, but there is no sound at all). Further research shows that in sound preferences, the only output device listed was Dummy Output. Why would it work in 9.04 x86 and not 9.10 x64? While booting up, and occasionally with the sound preferences dialog open, I get a loud click (even though it isn't recognising my sound card). It's a Dell Studio 17 laptop. I'm not sure what the exact model of sound card is.

  • Hanging of host network connections when starting KVM guest on bridge

    - by Chris Phillips
    Hi, I've a KVM system upon which I'm running a network bridge directly between all VM's and a bond0 (eth0, eth1) on the host OS. As such, all machines are presented on the same subnet, available outside of the box. The bond is doing mode 1 active / passive, with an arp_ip_target set to the default gateway, which has caused some issues in itself, but I can't see the bond configs mattering here myself. I'm seeing odd things most times when I stop and start a guest on the platform, in that on the host I lose network connectivity (icmp, ssh) for about 30 seconds. I don't lose connectivity on the other already running VM's though... they can always ping the default GW, but the host can't. I say "about 30 seconds" but from some tests it actually seems to be 28 seconds usually (or at least, I lose 28 pings...) and I'm wondering if this somehow relates to the bridge config. I'm not running STP on the bridge at all, and the forwarding delay is set to 1 second, path cost on the bond0 lowered to 10 and port priority of bond0 also lowered to 1. As such I don't think that the bridge should ever be able to think that bond0 is not connected just fine (as continued guest connectivity implies) yet the IP of the host, which is on the bridge device (... could that matter?? ) becomes unreachable. I'm fairly sure it's about the bridged networking, but at the same time as this happens when a VM is started there are clearly loads of other things also happening so maybe I'm way off the mark. • Why Windows Media Center (Vista 32-bit) unable to record TV Series?

    - by Alex R
    I can record individual shows just fine, but trying to setup the recording of a Series throws an error (something like, "unable to schedule, try restarting Media Center", pops up in the bottom right of the screen). Trying to access the "Other Showings" menu causes Media Center to crash ("check for a solution online" dialog comes up). The machine is a fresh reinstall of 32-bit Windows Vista from the HP recovery CDs, plus all Microsoft updates and service packs. Hardware: HP s3220n, AMD X2 5000+, 2GB RAM, 300GB free space on disk. Media Center came bundled. The "Media Center update for Vista" failed to install (it says, not appropriate for my computer). Any ideas? Thanks

  • How can I fix the website's splash page to work in IE8 and below?

    - by Abriel
    I have been trying to figure out for the longest time how I can get the splash page on this website to work correctly in IE8 and below? Right now, it works on all the other browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari). Here is the website: http://gds.parkland.edu/student/fall10/gds220/ashipley/p2/final_revised/index.html jQuery code: /* Sliding Affect Splash Page */ $(function() { $('.box').each(function() { var $this = $(this); $.data(this, 'css', { width: $this.css('width'), background: $this.css('background-image') }); }); }); function restore() { $('.box').each(function() { var orig = $.data(this, 'css'); $(this).animate({ width: orig.width },{queue:false}); $(this).css({backgroundImage: orig.background}); }); } /* box 1 */ function boxHover(){ $('.box').stop().animate({'width' : '596px'},{queue:false}); } function box1master(){ $('.box2').css({backgroundImage: 'url(images/splash/zatgun_midtop.jpg)'}); $('.box3').css({backgroundImage: 'url(images/splash/zatgun_midbottom.jpg)'}); $('.box4').css({backgroundImage: 'url(images/splash/zatgun_bottom.jpg)'}); } function box2master(){ $('.box1').css({backgroundImage: 'url(images/splash/bryan_top.jpg)'}); $('.box3').css({backgroundImage: 'url(images/splash/bryan_midbottom.jpg)'}); $('.box4').css({backgroundImage: 'url(images/splash/bryan_bottom.jpg)'}); } function box3master(){ $('.box1').css({backgroundImage:'url(images/splash/galleries_top.jpg)'}); $('.box2').css({backgroundImage: 'url(images/splash/galleries_midtop.jpg)'}); $('.box4').css({backgroundImage: 'url(images/splash/galleries_bottom.jpg)'}); } function box4master(){ $('.box1').css({backgroundImage: 'url(images/splash/contact_top.jpg)'}); $('.box2').css({backgroundImage: 'url(images/splash/contact_midtop.jpg)'}); $('.box3').css({backgroundImage: 'url(images/splash/contact_midbottom.jpg)'}); } $(document).ready(function(){ $('.box1').hover(function(){ boxHover(); box1master(); }, function(){ restore(); }); $('.box2').hover(function(){ boxHover(); box2master(); }, function(){ restore(); }); $('.box3').hover(function(){ boxHover(); box3master(); }, function(){ restore(); }); $('.box4').hover(function(){ boxHover(); box4master(); }, function(){ restore(); }); }); I wonder if I could change the spacing in-between each of the boxes using jQuery or if I somehow have to do this in the CSS/HTML?

  • Faster way to convert from 24 bit wav pcm format to float?

    - by LMO
    I need to read data in from a wav file in 24 bit pcm format, and convert to float. I'm using Python 2.7.2. The wave package reads the data in as a string, so what I've tried is: # read in entire wav file wdata = f.readframes(nFrames) # unpack into signed integers and convert to float data = array.array('f') for i in range(0,nFrames*3,3): data.append(float(struct.unpack('<i', '\x00'+ wdata[i:i+3])[0])) # normalize sample values data = data / 0x800000 This is quite a bit faster than my earlier approaches, but still quite slow. Can anyone suggest a more efficient method?

  • NASM: Count how many bits in a 32 Bit number are set to 1.

    - by citronas
    I have a 32 Bit number and want to count know how many bits are 1. I'm thinking of this pseudocode: mov eax, [number] while(eax != 0) { div eax, 2 if(edx == 1) { ecx++; } shr eax, 1 } Is there a more efficient way? I'm using NASM on a x86 processor. (I'm just beginning with assembler, so please do not tell me to use code from extern libraries, because I do not even know how to include them ;) ) (I just found http://stackoverflow.com/questions/109023/best-algorithm-to-count-the-number-of-set-bits-in-a-32-bit-integer which also contains my solution. There are other solutions posted, but unfortunatly I can't seem to figure out, how I would write them in assembler)

  • How can I access the sign bit of a number in C++?

    - by Keand64
    I want to be able to access the sign bit of a number in C++. My current code looks something like this: int sign bit = number >> 31; That appears to work, giving me 0 for positive numbers and -1 for negative numbers. However, I don't see how I get -1 for negative numbers: if 12 is 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 1100 then -12 is 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 1111 0011 and shifting it 31 bits would make 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0001 which is 1, not -1, so why do I get -1 when I shift it?

  • Is there a way to have a bit bucket pointer? (C/C++)

    - by Crazy Chenz
    Is there a way to have a bit bucket pointer? A lot of IO (specifically input related) system calls return data to a buffer of a specific size. Is there a trick or way to make a sorta bit bucket pointer, so I can accept any amount of data that will be thrown away. Doing something like "char tmp[INT_MAX]" is crazy. The behavior I am looking for is something like /dev/null, only in a pointer world. Not to hopeful on this.... just curious. Thanks, Chenz UPDATE: Perhaps mmap-ing /dev/null. Forgot about that when I asked the question.

  • For LinqToSQL is 0 true or is 1 (for type Bit)?

    - by Vaccano
    I have a column of type Bit (called BBoolVal in this example). I have a LinqToSQL Statement Like this: var query = List<MyClass> myList = _ctx.DBList .Where(x => x.AGuidID == paramID) .Where(x => x.BBoolVal == false); When I look at the sql it ends up like this (I added the spacing and changed the names): SELECT [t0].[Id], [t0].[AGuidID], [t0].[OtherIDID], [t0].[TimeColumn], [t0].[BBoolVal], [t0].[MoreID] FROM [dbo].[MyTable] AS [t0] WHERE (NOT ([t0].[BBoolVal] = 1)) AND ([t0].[AGuidID] = @p0) Because my x.BBoolVal == false translates to [BBoolVal] == 1 I gather that false = 1 (and thus true = 0). I am asking because this seems a bit backwards to me. I am fine to accept it, I just want to be sure.

  • What does "single-bit ECC errors were detected on the RAID controller" mean?

    - by jsp
    I have a Dell T7600 with a Perc H710P RAID controller and 4 attached 3TB drives. Over the past few months the RAID controller has been intermittently reporting errors on boot: "no boot device found", "adapter at baseport is not responding", disks frequently reported as missing or failed. I have since replaced the RAID controller, the 4 hard drives, and finally the system's motherboard. After replacing the motherboard and rebooting a few times, I got the error Single bit ECC errors were detected on the RAID controller. Please contact technical support to resolve this issue. After rebooting about 20 more times, I haven't seen the ECC error. The system seems otherwise OK, except for the fact that the disk fans will sometimes start blowing at full blast when the the system is sitting completely idle and not stop until I reboot. Are the ECC errors in memory on the RAID controller? Or, does the RAID controller map in system memory, and the ECC errors are really in system memory? Or, are the ECC errors in the 1GB cache that resides in the RAID controller?

  • 2D Array of 2D Arrays (C# / XNA) [on hold]

    - by Lemoncreme
    I want to create a 2D array that contains many other 2D arrays. The problem is I'm not quite sure what I'm doing but this is the initialization code I have: int[,][,] chunk = new int[64, 64][32, 32]; For some reason Visual Studio doesn't like this and says that it's and 'invalid rank specifier'. Also, I'm not sure how to use the nested arrays once I've declared them... Some help and some insight, please?
