  I am creating a PHP website on IIS8 that needs to connect to an SQL Server that is in the same Windows Domain as the IIS8. I am given a Windows Domain user account and asked to connect using its credentials. I am using sqlserv_connect() for PHP and I get the error Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON' Is there a way to run PHP + IIS8 as the windows domain user? Or MUST I configure SQL Server to use SQL Authentication mode so that I can supply a username and password?

• Why does Chromium run so slow in portable mode?

  I am using Chromium on a flash drive through LiberKey and it does everything I want it to do as far as syncing my Chrome bookmarks from home, etc. But it's soooooo slow. If I open more than 1 tab, or if a tab is heavy with code such as Gmail or GMaps, then the entire program hangs for about 5-10 seconds. I don't exactly know how portable apps work when run from a flash drive, so is there a way to speed up load times?

In the old days people were not worried about spam (or having their outbound email rejected), so that made sense. Of course, the question is only relevant to servers that send email.   My goal is to instead of buying 4 separate basic PCs (plus the obvious peripherals), buy just one fast PC and the peripherals.   I have a very old application designed for Windows 3.1. I have been able to use this application on Windows 7, however, that was Windows 7 32bit. Now I have since re-installed Windows to 64bit, and this application does not work, saying it's incompatible. I have tried running the application (and its other side-applications) in Windows '95 mode, but still the same message. How can I run this old app on 64bit Windows?   We have an old VB6 application, written in the UK, which we want to run on a client's server in Canada. The application must have some hard-coded date formats in it somewhere, as it's misinterpreting dates, eg, 6th April is getting recorded as 4th June. I know I could change the user's date format, but this would affect all applications. Is it possible, perhaps with some sort of wrapper script, to set specific regional settings for this single application?
