  • ArgumentException was unhandled Application.run

    Hi I've been through many sites and can't seem to find an answer. I modified a view that was connected to a Datagridview connected through a tableadapter on a C# Winforms app and in order to "reconnect" I had to delete the tableadapter and reconnect it. This was to get rid of an error regarding Unique contstraints. So I fixed that and now the application launches but when I click on the tab that that grid is on I get: System.ArgumentException was unhandled Message="Cannot bind to the property or column Id on the DataSource.\r\nParameter name: dataMember" Source="System.Windows.Forms" ParamName="dataMember" StackTrace: at System.Windows.Forms.BindToObject.CheckBinding() at System.Windows.Forms.BindToObject.SetBindingManagerBase(BindingManagerBase lManager)......... I can't seem to find an answer to this problem. Can someone help me? Thanks

  • iPhone: Run method from another view

    I have two views that I am loading, the first is a view with an MKMapView, the second has a table view. I would like to access a method in the first views controller, from the second view. I have been told to use the delegate for this, but I can't get it right. In my app delegate, I have set up added properties for the class of my first view. Then, in my second view, I try to access the first view using the delegate: MyAppDelegate *mainDelegate = (MyAppDelegate*) [[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; Then try: [mainDelegate.mapViewControllerClass myMethodToRun]; It seems to me that it should be calling the myMethodToRun method, which is in my map view. But, it does not work. What is wrong with what I am doing here? There must be a way to access a method of another view...

    Hi! I was given a task. First dialog based application has 4 buttons (up, down, left, right). Second dialog based application has two controls (e.g. text area, button). When on the first dialog I click "left" button - controls on the second dialog must move to the left. But unfortunately I don't know Win32 API at all. How can I implement it? What kind of Win32 API mechanism should I be using? Thanks.

  • Do bit operations cause programs to run slower?

    I'm dealing with a problem which needs to work with a lot of data. Currently its values are represented as an unsigned int. I know that real values do not exceed a limit of 1000. Questions I can use unsigned short to store it. An upside to this is that it'll use less storage space to store the value. Will performance suffer? If I decided to store data as short but all the calling functions use int, it's recognized that I need to convert between these datatypes when storing or extracting values. Will performance suffer? Will the loss in performance be dramatic? If I decided to not use short but just 10 bits packed into an array of unsigned int. What will happen in this case comparing with previous ones?

But now I've exported my project to an executable jar file and callig shell commands doesn't work any more.     I'm currently writing an in house coding challenge web application and I am wondering if there is any other security precaution I would need to have other than below java option at runtime. java -Djava.security.manager=default Basically, challenges would be more of single threaded math and algorithm focused. So I would need to enable basic data structure objects and disable any file, sockets, threading or any thing that might be not so important. Based on my quick search turning on security manager as above seems to be a solution but since this is a security related I would like to be sure before it goes alive. Is there anything else I could do more?

  • How to send KeyEvents through an input method service to a Dialog, or a Spinner menu?

    I'm trying to implement an input method service that receives intents sent by a remote client, and in response to those sends an appropriate KeyEvent. I'm using in the input method service this method private void keyDownUp(int keyEventCode) { getCurrentInputConnection().sendKeyEvent( new KeyEvent(KeyEvent.ACTION_DOWN, keyEventCode)); getCurrentInputConnection().sendKeyEvent( new KeyEvent(KeyEvent.ACTION_UP, keyEventCode)); } to send KeyEvents as in the Simple Sofykeyboard Sample, and it works in the home, in Activities... but it doesn't works when a Dialog or the menu of a Spinner is in foreground. The events is sent to the parent activity behind the Dialog. Is there any way to send keys and control the device like using the hardware keys from an input method? Better explanation on what I'm trying to do: I am kind of writng an Input Method that allows to control the device from remote. I write in a client (a java application on my desktop pc) a command (for example "UP"), a server on the device with sendBroadcast() sends the intent with the information, and a receiver in the input method gets it and call keyDownUp with the keycode of the DPAD_UP key. It generally works, but when I go to an app that shows a dialog, the keyDownUp method don't sends the key event to the dialog, for example for select the yes or not buttons, but it keeps to control the activty behind the Dialog.

  • Application process never terminates on each run

    I am seeing an application always remains live even after closing the application using my Perl script below. Also, for the subsequent runs, it always says that "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. iperf.exe -u -s -p 5001 successful. Output was:" So every time I have to change the file name $file used in script or I have to kill the iperf.exe process in the Task Manager. Could anybody please let me know the way to get rid of it?   • Getting a "for each" loop in Java to run in different order everytime

    Hi, Basically my problem is that I'm trying to write a method that finds a random path in a graph of strings, which takes as it's parameters a start string, an integer length and a Vector of strings that will store the path. I'm attempting to do this by first adding the starting string to our blank vector, recursing through its neighbors until the vector's length (not including the start node) is the same as the integer length specified in the parameters. I've provided my code so far here: public Vector<String> findRandomPathFrom(String n, int len, Vector<String> randomPath){ randomPath.add(n); if (randomPath.size() == len + 1) return randomPath; for (String m : this.neighbours(n)){ if (!randomPath.contains(m) && findRandomPathFrom(m, len, randomPath) != null) return randomPath; } path.setSize(path.size() - 1); return null; } It seems to be working fine, returning a path with exactly the number of strings specified after the given start string. However, for any given starting string it generates the EXACT same path everytime, which kind of defeats the purpose of it being a random path generator. I'm guessing this problem is related to my "for each" loop, which loops through all the neighbouring strings of your current string. It seems to just be going with the first string in the neighbours vector every single time. Can anyone help me fix this problem so that it will choose a random neighbour instead of going in order? tl;dr - Any way of getting a "for each" loop in java to process a collection in a random order as oppoosed to start-to-finsih?     I have a list of installed software, obtained from WMI class select * from Win32_Product. I'd like to deny execution rights for some users on certain software like so: find the path to installed software recursively remove execution rights I find the path to installed software from Win32_Product InstallLocation column. But the PROBLEM is that not all rows in Win32_Product have a value for InstallLocation. What can I do to overcome this? Is there somewhere in registry where I can find this path?

  • Can't run the ActionBarCompat sample

    I am having trouble compiling and running the ActionBarCompat sample of Android 16. I have API level 16 as the build target selected, which seems to build fine, but when I try to debug these errors pop up. Of course I could change the min API level in the manifest, but what would be the point of that? I have made no changes to the sample, so how come it is not working properly?     Hi, Ive been fiddling with this for hours and hours and just cant get it right. First off my sites are already using Prototytpe and Scriptaculous, and to change would take a long time. Basically I am after achieving a slideshow effect similar to jQuery Cycle plugin. I have written most of it but cant get over this hurdle: I need the user to be able to press a control button which will skip the slide to which ever one they have picked. My problem is that if a fade / appear effect is running, then it causes an overlap. I am using queues and they are in their own scope. The problem as I see it is that the fade effect on one slide and the appear effect on the next slide are separate functions. Which means that if the user clicks the control button to move to another slide whilst the animation is inbetween fade & appear, then the next cycle will slot itself in the queue between those 2 effects. The default is to append to the end of the existing queue, which should be fine. But if the appear hasnt been added when a new fade is instantiated, then the queue messes up. I can make it so nothing happens if animation is in effect but thats not the effect I am after. I want to be able to click a slide and whatever is happening to effectively stop and the next slide appear. However, at runtime in either a window app or console, you'll get true: object t1 = "a"; object t2 = "a"; MessageBox.Show((t1 == t2).ToString()); // outputs true The runtime behavior is consistent with the definition for the == operator and strings. Does anybody know if this a bug in the Immediate window?
