• Flex ItemRenderer Issue

  Am using Checkbox as ItemRenderer in tilelist. Am trying to setting checkbox selected values through xml. I got the values perfectly.. but checkbox could not bind the values(could not accept that). It's automatically sets true for all checkboxes. • vtk glyphs 3D, indenpently color and rotation

  I try to display thanks to vtk (python wrapper) several glyphs in a scene with each their own colour and rotation. Unfortunately, just the rotation (using vtkTensorGlyph) is taken in consideration by vtk. Reversely, just color is taken in consideration when I use a vtkGlyph3D. Here is a ready to use piece of code with a vtkTensorGlyph. Each cube should have a random color but there all will be in the same color. I read and read again the doc of vtk but I found no solution. • RSS feed created with PHP only shows the title in the feed reader

  I am using the following PHP code to generate the XML for an RSS feed, but it doesn't seem to be working correctly. No short description is displayed in the feed reader, all I see is the title of the article. Also, all of the articles say they were published at the same time. • Permission denied (maybe missing INTERNET permission) when calling web service

  I'm trying to use .net SOAP web service with ksoap2 lib. Example from http://www.vimeo.com/9633556 shows how to do it correct. Below the code from that example. everything shoud work ok, but when I try to do a call inself (httpTransport.call) I get "Permission denied (maybe missing INTERNET permission)" exception. Moreover, I don't see in the Application info window among permissions the internet permission alert. Tried this on emulator and Google phone. Will be very appreciated if somebody could help with it.   I'm having a difficult time understanding how to get Rails to show explicitly the error messages that a child resource is failing on when I render an XML template. Hypothetically, I have the following classes: class School < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :students validates_associated :students end class Student < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :school validates_format_of :email, :with => /^([^@\s]+)@((?:[-a-z0-9]+\.)+[a-z]{2,})$/i, :message => "You must supply a valid email" end Now, in the controller, let's say we want to build a trivial API to allow us to add a new School with a student in it (again, I said, it's a terrible example, but plays its role for the purpose of the question) class SchoolsController < ApplicationController def create @school = School.new @student = school.students.build @student.email = "bad@email" respond_to do |format| if @school.save # some code else format.xml { render :xml => @school.errors, :status => :unprocessable_entity } end end end end Now the validation is working just fine, things die because the email doesn't match the regex that's set in the validates_format_of method in the Student class. However the output I get is the following: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <errors> <error>Students is invalid</error> </errors> I want the more meaningful error message that I set above with validates_format_of to show up. Meaning, I want it to say: <error>You must supply a valid email</error> What am I doing wrong for that not to show up?

• Mimic.js handle fault response

  i use mimic.js regarding a project that i m developing.. the issue that i face, is if there is a fault response from the webservice, mimic, doesn't handle it, and the browser remains "awaiting" for a response, that has actually been back, but hasn't been handled by mimic.. to be more specific, one typical fault response is the following.. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <methodResponse> <fault> <value> <struct> <member> <name>faultCode</name><value><int>104</int></value> </member> <member> <name>faultString</name><value><string>Invalid Input Parameters</string></value> </member> </struct></value></fault></methodResponse> and chrome console get me the error mimic.js:11 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'childNodes' of null any suggestions on how to handle "fault" responses? mimic.js hasn't been altered at all.. also tried to bypass the fact that mimic can't handle the fault, by trying to use the isFault flag, in the if statement, with no success either.. isFault is supposed to get a boolean value, i guess true/false?

  I was setting up permissions for pages in a ASP.NET website with <location> tags in web.config, something similar to this: <location path="Users.aspx"> <system.web> <authorization> <allow roles="Administrator"/> <deny users="*"/> </authorization> </system.web> </location> However, I also have a web.sitemap which basically contains the same information, i.e. which user roles can see/access which pages. A snippet from my web.sitemap: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <siteMap xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/AspNet/SiteMap-File-1.0" > <siteMapNode title="Home"> ... lots of nodes here ... <siteMapNode url="users.aspx" roles="Administrator" title="users" description="Edit users" /> ... </siteMapNode> </siteMap> Is there some kind of nifty way of using web.sitemap only to configure access? The <location> tags are quite verbose, and I don't like having to duplicate this information.

  I am trying to let my XML schema handle a little traceability functionality as I'm gathering requirements while I read through some functional specifications. (Not ideal for requirement management, but at least its a start.) What I'm doing is creating a <functionalSpec tag for each functional specification I am currently reading through. I create a <requirement tag for each requirement I find. Since I want to be able to trace where the requirement came from, I create a <trace element with the id of the <functionalSpec element. Instead of allowing myself to enter any plain-old-text in the <functionalSpecId tag, I want the XSD to validate and make sure that I only enter in an id that exists for an existing functional spec. My problem is coming in where it seems the XML Schema W3C Recommendations documentation says that what I want to do is not possible. (about 1/2 way down) {selector} specifies a restricted XPath ([XPath]) expression relative to instances of the element being declared. This must identify a node set of subordinate elements (i.e. contained within the declared element) to which the constraint applies. I'm using Oxygen to create this since I'm fairly new to XSD files, and it gives me the following error: E [Xerces] Identity Constraint error: identity constraint "KeyRef@1045a2" has a keyref which refers to a key or unique that is out of scope. So my question is does anyone know of a way that will allow me to use the same XML structure that I have below through using XSD? This may be due to absent or incorrectly specified EndpointIdentity in the EndpointAddress used to create the channel. Please verify the EndpointIdentity specified or implied by the EndpointAddress correctly identifies the remote endpoint.
