  • MainMenu with Images

    I have a MainMenu in my app and I would like to have little icons relevant to the Item in each menu. But the MainMenu control does not support this. I would use the MenuStrip control, though that is a pretty ugly option in my opinion. Does anybody have any suggestions? Are there any free/open source alt's out there, or would it be easy/possible to implement that feature into the existing MainMenu control?

  • .live event doesnt work till second click

    I have 2 list on a page that are linked. When I drag a li element from list 1 to list 2 the live events on list 1 don't work on the first click only second click.   • Keep div:hover open when changing nested select box

    This is an IE-only problem. .toolTip becomes visible when it's parent element is :hovered over. Inside of .toolTip is a select box. When the user opens the select box to make a selection, the parent element is being "un-hovered", if you will. To put it another way, when I try to select something from the dropdown, the whole thing hides itself again. I'm sure it has something to do with the way IE interprets the stylesheet, but I don't know what or where.   • jquery event handler- trigger function upon specific key and action

    Background story: when a user selects a portion of text in a text field with her mouse (mark it up manually), and subsequently hits "alt" key, a certain function would trigger. My questions are: How can I trigger a function when a user hits a key (in her keyboard)? How can I preserve a portion of text selected, and use it as a parameter for that function? I've tried looking up online but haven't found any good answers, but i'd greatly appreciate links as well.

  • Visual Studio line deletion

    Is there any way in Visual Studio 2003 that I can delete a line without it being copied into the clipboard? There are instances when I want to copy the first line of a block of text and then delete the following n lines but this then puts the last line I deleted into the clipboard, which is very annoying. I have come from a brief keymap background and I could easily do this with Alt-D. And while I'm on the subject, why on earth have MS stopped supporting the brief keymap?

  • Passing variables from PHP to Javascript back to PHP using Ajax.

    I hope this makes sesne, please bare with me. So I have a PHP page that contains variables, I have some radial boxes, and on click of them, it calculates a price for the item you have clicked on. I do this by activating a js function that I have passed some variables to. Like so. However it doesn't work, I thought it was a GET however that returns undefined. In Summary: I would like to know how to pass a variable from PHP to JS then back to PHP, or if someone could just tell me where I am going wrong that would be greatly appreciated.

So if I type images/s [Alt+tab] it should present a list of all files located in images starting with s. Like the auto-complete for types but using filenames. It would be really cool if it worked with all kinds of editors.

    I have a View where I can upload an image and the image is also displayed in there like this: //ResourceStorage is a virtual directory that indicates to the pictures storage location <img src='<%=Url.Content("~/ResourceStorage/Profile/pic.jpg") %>' alt='pic' /> after I upload the picture, on the hard drive I get the new "pic.jpg" but in the browser I still have the old one (I tried clearing the cache, doesn't help)

  • Zsh: how to see all buffers?

    You can push things to buffer with ^Q and pop them with ESC-g. Alt+x vi-set-buffer changes buffer somehow. How can I see all the buffers? They are probably some files to look at.
