  • PHP - displaying 1 random record for each week

    I want to display 1 random record from a database based on the week. I need to determine if it's a new, and if it is a new week, then select the record and display the new record. I'm thinking I can just use a single day of the week to generate the new record, either way will work. I'm really having a hard time conceptualizing how I'll store the record id and not select a new one when someone visits again the same day or refreshes the page. Any ideas? Let me know if I wasn't clear enough.

    Is it possible to stringstream like this? I am trying to read with ifstream and convert it. string things = "10 11 12 -10"; int i1; int i2; int i3; int i4; stringstream into; into << things; into >> i1; into >> i2; into >> i3; into >> i4; I expect it to be : i1 = 10 i2 = 11 i3 = 12 i4 = -10 is that correct? Can the same stringstream variable be used multiple times? When I tried, the first time was ok but everything else later on is just 0.

    Given a list of dates 12/07/2010 13/07/2010 14/07/2010 15/07/2010 12/08/2010 13/08/2010 14/08/2010 15/08/2010 19/08/2010 20/08/2010 21/08/2010 I'm looking for pointers towards a recursive pseudocode algorithm (which I can translate into a FileMaker custom function) for producing a list of ranges, i.e. 12/07/2010 to 15/07/2010, 12/08/2010 to 15/08/2010, 19/08/2010 to 20/08/2010 The list is presorted and de-deuplicated. I've tried starting from both the first value and working forwards, and the last value and working backwards but I just can't seem to get it to work. Having one of those frustrating days... It would be nice if the signature was something like CollapseDateList( dateList, separator, ellipsis ) :-)

    So I have a function in unmanaged c++ that gets called when some text happens to have "arrived": #using <MyParser.dll> ... void dump_body(const unsigned char *Body, int BodyLen) { // Need to pass the body to DumpBody, but as what type? ... lMyParser::Parser::DumpBody(???); } DumpBody is a function defined in a C# DLL that should take one parameter of type? Body holds an array of characters (text) of length BodyLen. There's obviously some marshalling to be done here but I have no idea how. Please help.

So, is their any open-source image converter in java or is there any website or any tool , through which I can connect with my java application and then that tool or website convert my jpg image to jpg or png image and then store that image on some place. So that if their any image unsupported in ImageIO then also i can store that image by converting it. This whole process should be done automatically means user should not have to open that website or tool and convert it manually.

  • Converting a company from SVN to Hg?

    We're a heavy user of SVN here. While the advantages of GIT over SVN made us want to change, the advantages of Hg over SVN mean it's now time to change and we need to start doing so very soon. I'm not so worried on the client side, but here are my questions. There are some excellent books on setting file metaproperties, properly organizing projects, etc on SVN. What is that book(s) for Hg? Is there a way to convert an SVN repository (that you've used) and can report how well it went? We don't want to lose years of commit logs if possible. When you DO convert, how did you split up the old code? Did you commit trunk as one project, and tags/forks as another? If you used SVN for legacy work, did you check in updates to SVN or something else?

If I am correct it converts strings to LPCTSTR...don't know what that type is either... I can't seem to convert char* into LPCTSTR. The main problem i am having is how to find a alternative text/number version of a character. The Ascii wont work clearly ,So need help what can be a alternative text for a character specially that garbage looking binary chars in zip , when you see in a editor. More specifically, I want to know if is there a shorter way to do the following: def opt_apply[T](f: (T,T) => T, x: Option[T], y: Option[T]): Option[T] = { (x,y) match { case (Some(u),Some(v)) => Some(f(u,v)) case _ => None } } I have tryied (x zip y) map {case (u,v) => f(u,v)} but the result is an Iterator[T] not an Option[T].   • which type is best for three radiobuttons?

    Maybe you consider this question trivial but im just curious what is your opinion. I have three radiobuttons. "Show blue", "Show red" and "Show all". I did it with nullable boolean. There is collumn in database where blue is 0 and red is 1 so in metode i have to translate bool to int to compare those values (i do it in c#).Of course it works, but i wonder if it is the best solution. And question is wich type is best in this case? nullable bool, int, or maybe string?

  • How to correctly pass a float from C# to C++ (dll)

    I'm getting huge differences when I pass a float from C# to C++. I'm passing a dynamic float wich changes over time. With a debuger I get this: c++ lonVel -0.036019072 float c# lonVel -0.029392920 float I did set my MSVC++2010 floating point model to /fp:fast wich should be the standard in .NET if I'm not mistaken, but this didnt help. Now I cant give out the code but I can show a fraction of it.     So, I've got a string of time... something along the lines of '4 hours' '48 hours' '3 days' '15 minutes' I would like to convert those all into seconds. For '4 hours', this works fine Time.parse('4 hours').to_i - Time.prase('0 hours').to_i => 14400 # 4 hours in seconds, yay However, this doesn't work for 48 hours (outside of range error). It also does not work for 3 days (no information error), etc. Is there a simple way to convert these strings into seconds?

    Hi , I am trying to configure a GPS device to my systems. The GPS device send the data packet to my IP in the following format : $$?W??¬ÿÿÿÿ™U042903.000,A,2839.6408,N,07717.0905,E,0.00,,230111,,,A*7C|1.2|203|0000÷ I am able to extract the latitude, longitude and other information but I am not able to extract the Tracker ID out of the string. According to the manual the ID is in hex format.And the format of the packet is $$\r\n I dont know what to do with it, I have tried converting this to hex..but it didnt work. Any help will be greatly appreciate. Thanks
