    Hi, I have a table with a coloumn of type "time", and the values in this coloumn are stored as follows: 20:45:00, 18:00:00, etc. Now when displaying the result, I am not getting the minutes, but just 00. I am using the following to get the time: SELECT TIME_FORMAT(time, '%h:%m') as time FROM ......... etc

  • MPMoviePlayerController iPhone 3G & .mov file format

    Just posting a question to the world... My app is currently setup to play video files. The app is setup to play .mov files and when tested on a 3GS, iPhone 4, and an iPad, it works great. But when playing on an iPhone 3G, the file does not play. Is this based on different compression standards that the 3G can't handle? I liked the .mov extension as it was compressed nicely to stream to the device. I have now converted the video files to .m4v so it will play on the 3G, but the file is now 3 times the size. Thanks in advance for any answers I get!!

    If I want to trigger an error in my interpreter I call this function: Error( ErrorType type, ErrorSeverity severity, const char* msg, int line ); However, with that I can only output Name error: Undefined variable in line 1 instead of Name error: Undefined variable 'someVariableName' in line 1 I'm working entirely with strings (except for the error messages as they all are constant at the moment), so sprintf won't work. What is the best way to create an efficient error function that can output a constant message combined with a string that describes which object, e.g.: a non-existing variable, triggered the error?

    Hi, I am not new to OpenGL, but not an expert. Many tutorials teach how to draw, 3D, 2D, projections, orthogonal, etc, but How about setting a the view? (NSOpenGLView in Cocoa, Macs). For example: If I want my view to be capable of full screen should I write NSOpenGLPFAFullScreen only ? or both? (by capable I mean not always in full screen) Regarding Double Buffer, what is this exactly? (Below: Apple's definition) If present, this attribute indicates that only double-buffered pixel formats are considered. Otherwise, only single-buffered pixel formats are considered Regarding Color: if NSOpenGLPFAColorSize is 24 and NSOpenGLPFAColorSize is 8 then it means that alpha and RGB components are treated differently? what happen if I set the former to 32 and the later to 0?     Hi guys I have aproblem with rich text box string color: I have the richtexbox that user type a message in it. I mark up each word that exist in my dictionary. When i do it, i get this error: 500 | Internal Server Error | Doctrine_Connection_Mysql_Exception SQLSTATE[HY093]: Invalid parameter number: number of bound variables does not match number of tokens stack trace I think the error dependens on this command: 'SELECT b.id AS b_id, b.day AS b_day FROM birthday b WHERE b.day = ? AND b.day <= ?', array('month' = '1','day' = '2', 'year' = '2014') but i dont know how can i solve it.. Any idea? Javi

    Hi, Whats the best way to ensure the user has entered a valid time string such as: 5:24 5.4 102:30 102.5 It will be entered into a UITextField therefore will be in a NSString. I want to allow the user to enter the time in either hours and minutes (hh:mm) or hours and decimal minutes (hh.m). In the hours minutes example they should be able to enter as many hours as the like but only between 0 - 59 minutes. With the hours decimal minutes I want them to only be able to enter again as many hours as the like but decimal minutes can only be 0 - 9. Many Thanks

    Hi, I would like to add some debugs for my simple ruby functions and I wrote a function as below, def debug(&block) varname = block.call.to_s puts "#{varname} = #{eval(varname,block)}" end debug {:x} #prints x = 5 debug {:y} #prints y = 5 I understand that eval is evil. So I have two questions. Is there any way to write that debug method without using eval? If NO is there a preferred way to do this? Is there any way to pass a list of arguments to this method? I would ideally prefer debug {:x, :y. :anynumOfvariables}. I could not quite figure out how to factor that into the debug method (i.e, to take a list of arguments)
