  The incorrect usage could lead to hard-to-debug problems so better to understand the fundamentals behind it's working.setpropertyListener queues an event on the server side, so if for a command component you have a showPopup behavior/actionListner as well as setPropertyListener then fwk does the queuing correctly and raises further event on the component. While, the setactionListener simply raises an event on the server side instead of queueing it, so any further event on command component gets cancelled.Also, if you use an ActionListener and showPopup behavior together on a command component, then the order of their invocation is undetermined and also one of event gets cancelled on the component. So, either use only actionListner and do the popup invocation stuff progrmmatically in your bean or use the declarative stuff logically so that no clash of event happens.

• HDMI Audio stops after TV turned off

  After the 12.04 Update my HDMI audio stops working anytime I turn off my 2nd monitor(plasma TV). Graphics card is a Radeon 6800 which has DVI out to 1st monitor, HDMI out to receiver which the TV gets it's Audio/Video. Audio is always via my receiver sound. Things work fine as long as it boots with the TV and Receiver on. Turn off the TV and BART's HDMI audio will go away, and the HDMI option vanishes from the sound menu. I had an occasional HDMI issue with 11.10 but turning on/off the TV would fix the sound. How can I hardcode things so that it always uses HDMI out of audio? I suspect the TV is sending a signal upon that 12.04 is now listening for. Turning the TV back on does NOT resolve this, and I'd suggest having the ability to override this new "feature" via sound menu.

  I noticed to my surprise that an event created with dispatchEvent(event) gets handled directly when called, and not together with other events at a specific phase of the frame loop. Two main reasons of having an event system are: so that you can call code B from code A, but still want to prioritize code A. to make sure there are no freaky loopedy loops where code A calls code B calls code A ... I wonder what Ansca's rationale behind having events being handled directly this way is. And does Corona handle loopedy loops and other such pitfalls gracefully? • List item stuck in "Pending"

  Problem simplified: On approval, you have an event receiver that changes a field according to some weird and wonderful business logic. But the item remains in "Pending" state. Why?   First, you obviously need to turn off the event handling when you change things in the event receiver. If not, the event receiver will be called because the item changed. Infinite recursion is a bad thing. But you guessed that.   But that's not what was wrong. The culprit in my case was that items are set to require a new approval whenever the item is changed. This is good, but not what we want in this particular case. So force it back to approved after the other column has been changed.

• Windows 2008 R2 Task Scheduler triggered an event for unknown reasons.

  Today I arrived at the office only to find that a task, which was scheduled to trigger at 5:30PM EST each Friday, had triggered on its own at 6:01AM EST this morning. I checked the event logs as well as the task schedule log and all of the evidence points to a timed trigger starting this task with the correct credentials, however the task history reports the task has not been triggered since last Friday when it ran to completion successfully. I do not have this task set to random start times or start if missed. This is the first time I have observed this happen in the Windows Task Scheduler and want to know if anyone else has come across this, why it happened and how to fix it?

  JavaScript's late binding is great. But how do I early bind when I want to? I am using jQuery to add links with event handlers in a loop to a div. The variable 'aTag ' changes in the loop. When I click the links later, all links alert the same message, which is the last value of 'aTag'. How do I bind a different alert message to all links? • C#, WinForms: Why aren't KeyDown events chaining up to Form? I have to add event handler to each chi

  As i understand it, when a button is pressed it should first invoke the Control which has focus' KeyDown Handler, then it call the KeyDown handler for any Parent controls, all the way up to the main form. The only thing that would stop the chain would be if somewhere along the chain one of the EventHandlers did: e.SuppressKeyPress = true; e.Handled = true; In my case, KeyDown events never get to the main form. I have Form - Panel - button for example. Panel doesn't offer a KeyDown Event, but it shouldn't stop it from reaching the main form right? Right now as a work around I set every single control to call an event handler I wrote. I'm basically trying to prevent Alt-F4 from closing the application and instead minimize it.

  I'm using JW Player 4.5 on my site and I need to add an event listener for when fullscreen is toggled. The reason for this is to switch between a low-def version and high-def version. The default video will be the low-def version and when they switch to a fullscreen display, it will change to the high-def version. According to http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/wiki/Player5Events, the ViewEvent.JWPLAYER_VIEW_FULLSCREEN1 event can only be called from Actionscript. I need it to be from Javascript... Is there any way to achieve this? Can you recommend a better solution?

  hi, After being through numerous forums available on the net for last 5 days, I am still not able to completely track down the browser close event. My requirement is to generate a popup message, when user tries to close the browser. I have called my javascript function on body 'onbeforeunload' event. And I have hardcoded the conditions to check the mouse-coordinates for the red 'X' buton of browser, refresh, File-close or Alt-F4. My code works fine when browser window is Maximized, but fails if we shrink it after a limit. Please help me, if some body has already found the solution to a similar problem. Thank you. • Can I make DataGridView.EndEdit trigger the CellValidating event?

  I'm using a DataGridView in my WinForms application. My main objective is to make the Enter key not move to the next row in the grid. I still want the enter key to validate and end edit mode. I found this FAQ entry and subclassed DataGridView to override ProcessDialogKey(). If the key pressed is Enter, I call EndEdit(), otherwise I call base.ProcessDialogKey(). It works great, except the CellValidating event isn't fired. Currently, I'm just manually calling my validation logic before I call EndEdit, but it seems like I'm missing something. I guess I could call OnCellValidating, but then I'd be worried I'm missing some other event. What I really want is some flavour of EndEdit() that behaves just like pressing enter on the last row of a grid with adding disabled.

Now, if I put my caret in the TextBox and delete all the characters and then leave the caret in the TextBox so it still has focus and take my mouse and click a button, it will not do what it was supposed to do because it never fired the Text Changed Event. How would something like this be handled?

Here is what it looks like (simplified) public class S3FileStore { public void PutFile(string ID, Stream content) { //do stuff } } In my client app, I want to be able to call: var s3 = new() S3FileStore(); s3.PutFile ("myId", File.OpenRead(@"C:\myFile1")); s3.PutFile ("myId", File.OpenRead(@"C:\myFile2")); s3.PutFile ("myId", File.OpenRead(@"C:\myFile3")); I want this to be an asynchronous operation - I want the S3FileStore to handle this (i don't want my caller to have to execute PutFile asynchronously so to speak) but, i want to be able to trap exceptions / tell if the operation completed for each file. I've looked at event based async calls, especially this: http://blogs.windowsclient.net/rendle/archive/2008/11/04/functional-shortcuts-2-event-based-asynchronous-pattern.aspx However, I can't see how to call my PutFile (void) method? Are there any better examples?
