• SSRS - Checking whether the data is null

  Hello I've the following expression in my report. =FormatNumber(MAX(Fields!Reading.Value, "CellReading_Reading"),3) Now when the dataset is empty 'Fields!Reading.Value' becomes empty and finding their maximum is invalid. How can i check if the entire column is empty? I tried the following with no luck. =iif(IsNothing(Fields!.Reading.Value),"",FormatNumber(MAX(Fields!Reading.Value, "CellReading_Reading"),3)) But still i'm getting #Error in the report. I also checked out link and was not able to get a clue from it. I want to handle it in the report level. Thank you. NLV

  I have a simple login form with 2 input fields: "username" and "password". "username" field is focused by default. The problem is that when user clicks outside "username" or "password" fields, the focus is gone (it is neither on "username" nor on "password" fields"). How can I force the focus to be on these 2 fields only ?   I have a job to develop a website. My client wants it so that there is a header, a menu and for the content a rectangle-like box in which you can scroll the text. So that header and menu don't move but the text in the box does. Would it be bad practice to use an iframe for this?

• Moving the table view and keep the toolbar visible?

  Hello, In my view I have a toolbar with a button at the top and a table view underneath, like in the following picture: An you can see there are text fields in the cells of the table view. The problem appears when I want to edit the tet fields which are in the bottom of the table view. As you can imagine the keyboard overlaps the text fields. Let say I want to edit the fields in the C section, the result is following: I tried different approaches for moving the table view, but I always end up with the toolbar being hidden. In one cae the toolbar was moving up with together with the table view, in the second case the table view overlaps the toolbar: All the ideas how to move the table view to make the cell being edited visible together with having the toolbar visible? How to move/resize the table view? Thanks!

  We have an JPA @Entity class (say User) which has a @ManyToOne reference (say Address) loaded using the EAGER option which in turn loads it's own @ManyToOne fields (say Country) in a EAGER fashion. We use the EntityQuery interface to count the list of User's based on a search criteria, during such a load all the @ManyToOne fields which have been marked as EAGER get loaded. But in order to perform a EntityQuery.resultCount(), I actually don't need to load the @ManyToOne fields. Is there a way to prevent loading of the EAGER fields in such cases so that we can avoid the unnecessary joins?

  Hi, I have the following file structure: C:/wamp/myproject/admin/webroot/images I have an index.php file lying inside the admin folder which calls a header.inc.php file lying in the same folder. header.inc.php has the following code- <td align="left" valign="top" class="header-bg"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> index.php calls a css file (css.css) through the following code: <link href="<?php echo (WS_DIR_CSS); ?>/css.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> The css lies in the following location: C:/wamp/myproject/admin/webroot/css The css files has a class which has the following code: .header-bg { background:url(../images/header_bg.jpg) left top repeat-x; height:77px; } The image header_bg.jpg is not being displayed in the browser. Help anyone?

• Looking for MSSQL Table Design Sanity Check for Profile Tables with Dynamic Columns.

  I just want a general sanity check regarding database design. We are building a web system that has both Teachers and Students. Both have accounts in the system. Both have profiles in the system. My question is about the table design of those Profile tables. The Teacher profile is pretty static regarding the metadata associated with it. Each teacher has a set number of fields that exposes information about that individual (schools, degrees, etc). The students, however, are a different case. We are using a windows service to pull varying data about the students from an endless stream of excel spreadsheets. The data gets moved into our database and then the fields appear in association with the student's profile. Accordingly, each and every student may have very different fields in their profile. I originally started with the concept of three tables: Accounts ---------- AccountID TeacherProfiles ---------- TeacherProfileID AccountID SecondarySchool University YearsTeaching Etc... StudentProfiles ---------- StudentProfileID AccountID Header Value The StudentProfiles table would hold the name of the column headers from the excel spreadsheets and the associated values. I have since evolved the design a little to treat Profiles more generically per the attached ERD image. The Teacher and Student "Headers" are stored in a table called "ProfileAttributeTypes" and responses (either from the excel document or via input fields on the web form) are put in a ProfileAttributes table. This way both Student and Teacher profiles can be associated with a dynamic flow of profile fields. The "Permissions" table tells us whether we are dealing with a Student or a Teacher. Since this system is likely to grow quickly, I want to make sure the foundation is solid. Can you please provide feedback about this design and let me know if it seems sound or if you could see problems it might create and, if so, what might be a better approach? Thanks in advance.

I know I can add it to my header to stop the warning, but I am wondering if there is a way other then adding it to the header (so I can keep the headers clean and standard) to suppress the warning? However, my case is that the keyboards are different some fields. For example, one fields is numeric & punctuation, and the next one is default (alphabetic keys). For the numeric & punctuation keyboard is OK, but the next field will stay as the same layout. It requires user to press 123 to go back ABC keyboard. I am not sure if there is any way to reset the keyboard for a field as its keyboard defined in xib? Not sure if there is any APIs available? I guess I have to do something is the following delegate? -(void)textFieldDidBegingEditing:(UITextField*) textField { // reset to the keyboard to request specific keyboard view? .... } OK. I found a solution close to my case by slatvik: -(void) textFieldDidBeginEditing:(UITextField*) textField { textField.keyboardType = UIKeybardTypeAlphabet; } However, in the case of the previous text fields is numeric, the keyboard stays numeric when auto-jumped to the next field. Is there any way to set keyboard to alphabet mode?

Now, if an object contains another object and that object links back to the original object, it should not follow that object further down the chain. However, my logic seems to have a flaw as I still get stuck in an infinite loop. Does anyone know why this is happening?

  Hi, I've created reports in Adboe that have checkobxes and set then to required fields. But when i click the submit button all fields but the check boxes are validated. I.e If i dont complete the required textbox field the report will not submit, but when i do and the required checkbox fields are not checked it still submits.   I created a new drupal 7 theme and trying to implement hook_theme at template.php like this: function mytheme_theme($existing, $type, $theme, $path){ return array( 'mytheme_header'=>array( 'template'=>'header', 'path'=>$path.'/templates', 'type'=>'theme', ), ); } then I placed header.tpl.php into templates directory and cleared all caches, and call theme function: theme('mytheme_header', $vars); but it did not work and render page with header.tpl.php. What's wrong with my code?

• ASPNET MVC what do you call this, a partial view? Or something else?

  I'm trying to google for info on a situation, but I dont know what it is called, so its hard to find results :) I have a model with say 10 fields. But only some of those are shown on a particular view, lets say 3 of them: id, name, date. What do you call this kind of view that does not display the whole model? A partial view? The problem is that because 7 fields are not sent to the view, when the Update action is called on the controller, those fields are null, and the DB gets updated with those 7 fields set to null.

• Android layout issue - table/grid/linear

  I am trying to wrap my head around some basic layout issues in android. Here is what I want as my final goal: As you can see, various fields set up like that. The fields get filled in based on XML data. There could be 1 set of fields, or there could be more. I tried a tablelayout, but couldn't get it set up right even when layout_span for Field 7. It worked ok, but when I tried to change the widths of Field 1 thru 5, the spanned row below it didn't conform to the changes (not like an HTML table would). The fields in each group need to lineup if there are more than one (see red lines in image). Can someone point me in the right direction on how I should approach this? Thanks

• Prevent Apache from chunking gzipped content

  When using mod_deflate in Apache2, Apache will chunk gzipped content, setting the Transfer-encoding: chunked header. While this results in a faster download time, I cannot display a progress bar. If I handle the compression myself in PHP, I can gzip it completely first and set the Content-length header, so that I can display a progress bar to the user. Is there any way to change Apache's behavior, and have Apache set a Content-length header instead of chunking the response, so that I don't have to handle the compression myself?
