    I've got a template for a partial that I'd like to use and I'm wondering if it's possible to just render the thing without needing to send a mock request to a controller. I'm never going to need to render this to an AJAX call, so it seems silly to set up a controller and action, not to mention the security issues with making a private partial open to the world.

    I'm 16. I started programming about a year ago when I was about to start high-school. I'm going for a career in programming, and I'm doing my best to learn as much as I can. When I first started, I learned the basics of C++ from a book and I started to learn things by myself from there on. Nowadays I'm much more experienced than I was a year ago. I knew I had to study by myself because high-school won't (likely) teach me anything valuable about programming, and I want to be prepared.   • How can I figure out if programming is right for me? [closed]

    I have an IT background and was pretty confident until an opportunity came up at work to go into programming(C#). I have never programmed before this, and the software I am programming for is a program I have never used before (a 3D modeling software). It has been 6 months since then and I feel like giving up. I didn't get much training... about 3 weeks of training spread out over the last 6 months. I think I would be good at programming but this experience is kinda making me rethink my decision. I'm not sure if it's just me, or if this frustration is normal. How can I tell if programming is right for me?

  • Magento CSS not Loading in New Template

    I have posted on the template creator's site, as well as Magento support, but no one has responded. The CSS is not loading at all on the custom theme I have installed, which is supposedly compatible with the current version of Magento. You can view the page here: shop.dearearth.net This is a fresh installation of Magento and the theme, with a fresh database. I have a feeling it should be a relatively quick fix. Thanks for looking.
