  • SPARC T4-2 Produces World Record Oracle Essbase Aggregate Storage Benchmark Result

    - by Brian
Significance of Results Oracle's SPARC T4-2 server configured with a Sun Storage F5100 Flash Array and running Oracle Solaris 10 with Oracle Database 11g has achieved exceptional performance for the Oracle Essbase Aggregate Storage Option benchmark. The benchmark has upwards of 1 billion records, 15 dimensions and millions of members. Oracle Essbase is a multi-dimensional online analytical processing (OLAP) server and is well-suited to work well with SPARC T4 servers. The SPARC T4-2 server (2 cpus) running Oracle Essbase 11.1.2.2.100 outperformed the previous published results on Oracle's SPARC Enterprise M5000 server (4 cpus) with Oracle Essbase 11.1.1.3 on Oracle Solaris 10 by 80%, 32% and 2x performance improvement on Data Loading, Default Aggregation and Usage Based Aggregation, respectively. The SPARC T4-2 server with Sun Storage F5100 Flash Array and Oracle Essbase running on Oracle Solaris 10 achieves sub-second query response times for 20,000 users in a 15 dimension database. The SPARC T4-2 server configured with Oracle Essbase was able to aggregate and store values in the database for a 15 dimension cube in 398 minutes with 16 threads and in 484 minutes with 8 threads. The Sun Storage F5100 Flash Array provides more than a 20% improvement out-of-the-box compared to a mid-size fiber channel disk array for default aggregation and user-based aggregation. The Sun Storage F5100 Flash Array with Oracle Essbase provides the best combination for large Oracle Essbase databases leveraging Oracle Solaris ZFS and taking advantage of high bandwidth for faster load and aggregation. Oracle Fusion Middleware provides a family of complete, integrated, hot pluggable and best-of-breed products known for enabling enterprise customers to create and run agile and intelligent business applications. Oracle Essbase's performance demonstrates why so many customers rely on Oracle Fusion Middleware as their foundation for innovation. • Characteristics of a Web service that promote reusability and change

Characteristics of a Web service that promote reusability and change:  Standardized Data Exchange Formats (XML, JSON) Standardized communication protocols (Soap, Rest) Promotes Loosely Coupled Systems  Standardized Data Exchange Formats (XML, JSON) XML W3.org defines Extensible Markup Language (XML) as a simplistic text format derived from SGML. XML was designed to solve challenges found in large-scale electronic publishing. In addition,  XML is playing an important role in the exchange of data primarily focusing on data exchange on the web. JSON JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) is a human-readable text-based standard designed for data interchange. This format is used for serializing and transmitting data over a network connection in a structured format. The primary use of JSON is to transmit data between a server and web application. JSON is an alternative to XML. Standardized communication protocols (Soap, Rest) Soap W3Scools.com defines SOAP as a simple XML-based protocol. This protocol lets applications exchange data over HTTP.  SOAP provides a way to communicate between applications running on different operating systems, with different technologies and programming languages. Rest In 2007, Stefan Tilkov defines Representational State Transfer (REST) as a set of principles that outlines how Web standards are supposed to be used.  Using REST in an application will ensure that it exploits the Web’s architecture to its benefit. Promotes Loosely Coupled Systems “Loose coupling as an approach to interconnecting the components in a system or network so that those components, also called elements, depend on each other to the least extent practicable. Coupling refers to the degree of direct knowledge that one element has of another.” (TechTarget.com, 2007) “Loosely coupled system can be easily broken down into definable elements. The extent of coupling in a system can be measured by mapping the maximum number of element changes that can occur without adverse effects. Examples of such changes include adding elements, removing elements, renaming elements, reconfiguring elements, modifying internal element characteristics and rearranging the way in which elements are interconnected.” (TechTarget.com, 2007) References: W3C. Possible Duplicate: How could I prevent my mail from being recognized as spam? I'm sending a newsletter with drupals simplenews module The website is hosted on an 1und1 server in germany (as seen in in header domains online.de and kundenserver.de) When I send it, it goes to Spam folder in Yahoo & GMail Mailbox, but not in Spam Folder in web.de, hotmail and GMX Mailboxes Here is, what I have in the Mail Header (for yahoo in this example) Received: from 12.345.678.90 (EHLO sXXXXXXXXX.online.de) (12.345.678.90) by mtaXXX.mail.kks.yahoo.co.jp with SMTP; Fri, 15 Jun 2012 18:45:24 +0900 Received: from [127.0.0.1] (helo=infongdXXXXX.rtr.kundenserver.de) by sXXXXXXXXX.online.de with esmtp (Exim 4.72) (envelope-from <[email protected]>) id 1SfT5k-00068r-Q8 for [email protected]; Fri, 15 Jun 2012 11:45:20 +0200 Received: from 83.136.130.41 (IP may be forged by CGI script) by infongdXXXXX.rtr.kundenserver.de with HTTP id 0Z04SW-1SQTKp3LPr-00YxYk; Fri, 15 Jun 2012 11:45:20 +0200 From: SENDER <[email protected]> To: "rcpt_to@example.com" <[email protected]> Date: Fri, 15 Jun 2012 11:45:20 +0200 Subject: This is the subject of the newsletter Thread-Topic: This is the subject of the newsletter Thread-Index: Ac1K3nT42juzo7uCSkq5dTlby1ZvpQ== List-Unsubscribe: <http://www.example.com/newsletter/confirm/remove/XXXXXXXXX> X-MS-Has-Attach: X-Auto-Response-Suppress: All X-MS-TNEF-Correlator: x-originating-ip: [12.345.678.90] authentication-results: mtaXXX.mail.kks.yahoo.co.jp from=example.com; domainkeys=neutral (no sig); dkim=neutral (no sig) header.i=@example.com errors-to: "SENDER" <[email protected]> received-spf: none (sXXXXXXXXX.online.de: domain of mail_from@example.com does not designate permitted sender hosts) x-apparently-to: rcpt_to@example.com via 123.45.67.890; Fri, 15 Jun 2012 18:45:25 +0900 x-sender-info: <[email protected]> content-length: 13762 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="_000_7471797868716571796675707173696675806577726778666766687_" MIME-Version: 1.0 I cannot see any direct spam filter message in this. But I'm kind of stunned by the Received: from 83.136.130.41 (IP may be forged by CGI script) part. After I searched a bit, it seems, that this is a special 'feature' of 1und1 Mail servers. Here are my questions: Is it possible that, if I get rid of the 'Ip maybe forged' part, that the Mail is not regarded as spam anymore? If so, Does anyone know, how I can get rid of it in drupal?

  • Postfix/SMTPD Relay Access Denied when sending outside the network

    - by David
I asked a very similar question some 4 or 5 months ago, but haven't tracked down a suitable answer. I decided to post a new question so that I can ... a) Post updated info b) post my most current postconf -n output When a user sends mail from inside the network (via webmail) to email addresses both inside and outside the network, the email is delivered. When a user with an email account on the system sends mail from outside the network, using the server as the relay, to addresses inside the network, the email is delivered. But [sometimes] when a user connects via SMTPD to send email to an external address, a Relay Access Denied error is returned: Feb 25 19:33:49 myers postfix/smtpd[8044]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from host-68-169-158-182.WISOLT2.epbfi.com[68.169.158.182]: 554 5.7.1 <host-68-169-158-182.WISOLT2.epbfi.com[68.169.158.182]>: Client host rejected: Access denied; from=<[email protected]> to=<[email protected]> proto=ESMTP helo=<my-computer-name> Feb 25 19:33:52 myers postfix/smtpd[8044]: disconnect from host-68-169-158-182.WISOLT2.epbfi.com[68.169.158.182] Sending this through Microsoft Outlook 2003 generates the above log. • Synergy 1.4.2 Linux server, OSX client, Media/Function key mapping issues

    - by at165dB
I'm using an Apple bluetooth keybord to control my Linux synergy server. SSH tunneling, Mouse, Keyboard, and Copy&Paste all work. Linux sees all the media/app keys that are on top of the F# keys correctly. However if I press any of those keys while controlling my OSX client, nothing happens on the client. Running synergys with -d DEBUG1 I can see the following keycode info: Pressing the "dim monitor" key that also serves as F1 generates: new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyPress code=232, state=0x0010 new mask: 0x2000 If I press "fn" and the same key, I can see it sending what I'm assuming is an F1: event: KeyPress code=67, state=0x0010 onKeyDown id=61374 mask=0x2000 button=0x0043 send key down to "foo.cisco.com" id=61374, mask=0x2000, button=0x0043 new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyRelease code=67, state=0x0010 onKeyUp id=61374 mask=0x2000 button=0x0043 send key up to "foo.cisco.com" id=61374, mask=0x2000, button=0x0043 I'm guessing I need to tweak my synergy.conf so that the server sends keys that it currently isn't. I'm also not sure what I need to do to tweak the keys that it is sending, but are not working. Below are all the other keys I'm having issues with. Does anyone have any idea how I can enable their functionality? brighten monitor: new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyPress code=233, state=0x0010 new mask: 0x2000 expose: new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyPress code=128, state=0x0010 new mask: 0x2000 dashboard: new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyPress code=212, state=0x0010 new mask: 0x2000 dim keyboard: new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyPress code=237, state=0x0010 new mask: 0x2000 brighten keyboard: new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyPress code=238, state=0x0010 new mask: 0x2000 rewind: event: KeyPress code=173, state=0x0010 onKeyDown id=57521 mask=0x2000 button=0x00ad send key down to "foo.cisco.com" id=57521, mask=0x2000, button=0x00ad new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyRelease code=173, state=0x0010 onKeyUp id=57521 mask=0x2000 button=0x00ad send key up to "foo.cisco.com" id=57521, mask=0x2000, button=0x00ad play/pause: event: KeyPress code=172, state=0x0010 onKeyDown id=57523 mask=0x2000 button=0x00ac send key down to "foo.cisco.com" id=57523, mask=0x2000, button=0x00ac new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyRelease code=172, state=0x0010 onKeyUp id=57523 mask=0x2000 button=0x00ac send key up to "foo.cisco.com" id=57523, mask=0x2000, button=0x00ac fastforward: event: KeyPress code=171, state=0x0010 onKeyDown id=57520 mask=0x2000 button=0x00ab send key down to "foo.cisco.com" id=57520, mask=0x2000, button=0x00ab new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyRelease code=171, state=0x0010 onKeyUp id=57520 mask=0x2000 button=0x00ab send key up to "foo.cisco.com" id=57520, mask=0x2000, button=0x00ab mute: event: KeyPress code=121, state=0x0010 onKeyDown id=57517 mask=0x2000 button=0x0079 send key down to "foo.cisco.com" id=57517, mask=0x2000, button=0x0079 new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyRelease code=121, state=0x0010 onKeyUp id=57517 mask=0x2000 button=0x0079 send key up to "foo.cisco.com" id=57517, mask=0x2000, button=0x0079 volume down: onKeyDown id=57518 mask=0x2000 button=0x007a send key down to "foo.cisco.com" id=57518, mask=0x2000, button=0x007a new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyRelease code=122, state=0x0010 onKeyUp id=57518 mask=0x2000 button=0x007a send key up to "foo.cisco.com" id=57518, mask=0x2000, button=0x007a volume up: event: KeyPress code=123, state=0x0010 onKeyDown id=57519 mask=0x2000 button=0x007b send key down to "foo.cisco.com" id=57519, mask=0x2000, button=0x007b new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyRelease code=123, state=0x0010 onKeyUp id=57519 mask=0x2000 button=0x007b send key up to "foo.cisco.com" id=57519, mask=0x2000, button=0x007b eject: event: KeyPress code=169, state=0x0010 onKeyDown id=57345 mask=0x2000 button=0x00a9 send key down to "foo.cisco.com" id=57345, mask=0x2000, button=0x00a9 new mask: 0x2000 event: KeyRelease code=169, state=0x0010 onKeyUp id=57345 mask=0x2000 button=0x00a9 send key up to "foo.cisco.com" id=57345, mask=0x2000, button=0x00a9

  • Why the server is not responding?

    - by par
Hello! Our server occasionally refuses to serve a simple HTML page. This is happening during a relatively high number of requests. However, the processor is not heavy loaded and there are a lot of free memory. The error seems to occure 1 out of 50 requests in average, depending on the server load. I need to find the source of the problem and take the appropriate actions to eliminate it. I have a suspicion that the problem source is a huge number of incoming network packets. There are 5000 packets per second on average. Traffic - 2 MBits/sec Can this be the cause of the error? There is an interesting thing, in case the server fails to respond, the request string is not logged to access.log by Apache. The error is repeatable from several client computers. DNS is not involved, since I have accessed the server by the IP. I have profiled the problem case with tcpdump utility. These are the good and bad sessions traced by tcpdump. The request is the same in both experiments. Good - server returns response. Bad - no response, time-out error. ---- Bad ---- 12:23:36.366292 IP 123.45.67.890.61749 > myserver.superbservers.com.www: S 2125316338:2125316338(0) win 8192 <mss 1460,nop,wscale 2,nop,nop,sackOK> 12:23:39.362394 IP 123.45.67.890.61749 > myserver.superbservers.com.www: S 2125316338:2125316338(0) win 8192 <mss 1460,nop,wscale 2,nop,nop,sackOK> 12:23:45.365567 IP 123.45.67.890.61749 > myserver.superbservers.com.www: S 2125316338:2125316338(0) win 8192 <mss 1460,nop,nop,sackOK> -------- ---- Good ---- 12:27:07.632229 IP 123.45.67.890.63914 > myserver.superbservers.com.www: S 3581365570:3581365570(0) win 8192 <mss 1460,nop,wscale 2,nop,nop,sackOK> 12:27:10.620946 IP 123.45.67.890.63914 > myserver.superbservers.com.www: S 3581365570:3581365570(0) win 8192 <mss 1460,nop,wscale 2,nop,nop,sackOK> 12:27:10.620969 IP myserver.superbservers.com.www > 123.45.67.890.63914: S 2654770980:2654770980(0) ack 3581365571 win 5840 <mss 1460,nop,nop,sackOK,nop,wscale 6> 12:27:10.838747 IP 123.45.67.890.63914 > myserver.superbservers.com.www: . ack 1 win 4380 12:27:10.957143 IP 123.45.67.890.63914 > myserver.superbservers.com.www: P 1:213(212) ack 1 win 4380 12:27:10.957152 IP myserver.superbservers.com.www > 123.45.67.890.63914: . ack 213 win 108 12:27:10.965543 IP myserver.superbservers.com.www > 123.45.67.890.63914: P 1:630(629) ack 213 win 108 12:27:10.965621 IP myserver.superbservers.com.www > 123.45.67.890.63914: F 630:630(0) ack 213 win 108 12:27:11.183540 IP 123.45.67.890.63914 > myserver.superbservers.com.www: . ack 631 win 4222 12:27:11.185657 IP 123.45.67.890.63914 > myserver.superbservers.com.www: F 213:213(0) ack 631 win 4222 12:27:11.185663 IP myserver.superbservers.com.www > 123.45.67.890.63914: . ack 214 win 108 -------- Hoster: SuperbHosting OS: Ubuntu Server parameters: E6300 CONROE 1.86GHZ 2 X 1MB CACHE 1066 1GB DDR2 667MHZ This is a link to apache configuration file we use http://repkin5.snow.prohosting.com/apache.txt This is server-status report taken right after time-out error. http://repkin5.snow.prohosting.com/server-status.htm There are only 10 Child Servers running out of 120, so enough space for new requests. • Having Hotlink Protectin problem in nginx

    - by Ayaz Malik
    Hello, i am having image hotlink protection problem in my nginx need help. i have a huge issue of my site's images being submited to social networks like stumbleupon with direct link ... xxxxx.jpg which some times get huge traffic and increases cpu usage plus bandwidth usage. what i am trying to do is block direct access to image from other refrers and hotlink protection. Here is the code from my vhost.conf server { access_log off; error_log logs/vhost-error_log warn; listen 80; server_name mydomain.com www.mydomain.com; # uncomment location below to make nginx serve static files instead of Apache # NOTE this will cause issues with bandwidth accounting as files wont be logged location ~* \.(gif|jpg|jpeg|png|wmv|avi|mpg|mpeg|mp4|htm|html|js|css)$ { root /home/username/public_html; expires 1d; } root /home/mydomain/public_html; } location / { client_max_body_size 10m; client_body_buffer_size 128k; proxy_send_timeout 90; proxy_read_timeout 90; proxy_buffer_size 4k; # you can increase proxy_buffers here to suppress "an upstream response # is buffered to a temporary file" warning proxy_buffers 16 32k; proxy_busy_buffers_size 64k; proxy_temp_file_write_size 64k; proxy_connect_timeout 30s; proxy_redirect http://www.mydomain.com:81 http://www.mydomain.com; proxy_redirect http://mydomain.com:81 http://mydomain.com; proxy_pass http://ip_address/; proxy_set_header Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; expires 24h; } } So for hotlink protection i added this code : location ~* (\.jpg|\.png|\.gif|\.jpeg)$ { valid_referers blocked www.mydomain.com mydomain.com; if ($invalid_referer) { return 403; } This is how the current nginx code for this domain looks like but didn't worked: server { access_log off; error_log logs/vhost-error_log warn; listen 80; server_name mydomain.com www.mydomain.com; # uncomment location below to make nginx serve static files instead of Apache # NOTE this will cause issues with bandwidth accounting as files wont be logged location ~* \.(gif|jpg|jpeg|png|wmv|avi|mpg|mpeg|mp4|htm|html|js|css)$ { root /home/username/public_html; expires 1d; } root /home/mydomain/public_html; } location ~* (\.jpg|\.png|\.gif|\.jpeg)$ { valid_referers blocked www.mydomain.com mydomain.com; if ($invalid_referer) { return 403; } location / { client_max_body_size 10m; client_body_buffer_size 128k; proxy_send_timeout 90; proxy_read_timeout 90; proxy_buffer_size 4k; # you can increase proxy_buffers here to suppress "an upstream response # is buffered to a temporary file" warning proxy_buffers 16 32k; proxy_busy_buffers_size 64k; proxy_temp_file_write_size 64k; proxy_connect_timeout 30s; proxy_redirect http://www.mydomain.com:81 http://www.mydomain.com; proxy_redirect http://mydomain.com:81 http://mydomain.com; proxy_pass http://ip_address/; proxy_set_header Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; expires 24h; } } Thank you in advance :) cheers

  • Java - SAX parser on a XHTML document

    - by Peter
Hey, I'm trying to write a SAX parser for an XHTML document that I download from the web. At first I was having a problem with the doctype declaration (I found out from here that it was because W3C have intentionally blocked access to the DTD), but I fixed that with: XMLReader reader = parser.getXMLReader(); reader.setFeature("http://apache.org/xml/features/disallow-doctype-decl",true); However, now I'm experiencing a second problem. The SAX parser throws an exception when it reaches some Javascript embedded in the XHTML document: <script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript"> function checkForm() { answer = true; if (siw && siw.selectingSomething) answer = false; return answer; }// </script> Specifically the parser throws an error once it reaches the &&'s, as it's expecting an entity reference. The exact exception is: `org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference. at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.util.ErrorHandlerWrapper.createSAXParseException(ErrorHandlerWrapper.java:198) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.util.ErrorHandlerWrapper.fatalError(ErrorHandlerWrapper.java:177) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLErrorReporter.reportError(XMLErrorReporter.java:391) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLScanner.reportFatalError(XMLScanner.java:1390) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentFragmentScannerImpl.scanEntityReference(XMLDocumentFragmentScannerImpl.java:1814) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentFragmentScannerImpl$FragmentContentDriver.next(XMLDocumentFragmentScannerImpl.java:3000) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentScannerImpl.next(XMLDocumentScannerImpl.java:624) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.impl.XMLDocumentFragmentScannerImpl.scanDocument(XMLDocumentFragmentScannerImpl.java:486) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.XML11Configuration.parse(XML11Configuration.java:810) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.XML11Configuration.parse(XML11Configuration.java:740) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.XMLParser.parse(XMLParser.java:110) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.parsers.AbstractSAXParser.parse(AbstractSAXParser.java:1208) at com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.SAXParserImpl$JAXPSAXParser.parse(SAXParserImpl.java:525) at MLIAParser.readPage(MLIAParser.java:55) at MLIAParser.main(MLIAParser.java:75)` I suspect (but I don't know) that if I hadn't disabled the DTD then I wouldn't get this error. So, how can I avoid the DTD error and avoid the entity reference error? Cheers, Pete

  • why am I stuck on "Initiating update" when deploying to google

    - by michelle
I've have not had any trouble deploying through eclipse until now. I'm guessing it might have to do with all the stuff I've added today a folder of .pdf and .tex files (in war/web-inf directory) a bit of JDO stuff and a servlet that reads the files in the directory and indexes them into the JDO Is there any way to find out what exactly is the problem? I currently get stuck at "Initiating update" and the stack trace say "ConnectionReset" Any helkp of imput will be appreciated, I really need to deploy this today, thanks! here's the deploy trace: Unable to update: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingConstructorAccessorImpl.newInstance(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Constructor.newInstance(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection$6.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getChainedException(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(Unknown Source) at java.net.HttpURLConnection.getResponseCode(Unknown Source) at com.google.appengine.tools.admin.ServerConnection.getAuthCookie(ServerConnection.java:315) at com.google.appengine.tools.admin.ServerConnection.authenticate(ServerConnection.java:219) at com.google.appengine.tools.admin.ServerConnection.send(ServerConnection.java:145) at com.google.appengine.tools.admin.ServerConnection.post(ServerConnection.java:81) at com.google.appengine.tools.admin.AppVersionUpload.send(AppVersionUpload.java:427) at com.google.appengine.tools.admin.AppVersionUpload.beginTransaction(AppVersionUpload.java:241) at com.google.appengine.tools.admin.AppVersionUpload.doUpload(AppVersionUpload.java:98) at com.google.appengine.tools.admin.AppAdminImpl.update(AppAdminImpl.java:56) at com.google.appengine.eclipse.core.proxy.AppEngineBridgeImpl.deploy(AppEngineBridgeImpl.java:271) at com.google.appengine.eclipse.core.deploy.DeployProjectJob.runInWorkspace(DeployProjectJob.java:148) at org.eclipse.core.internal.resources.InternalWorkspaceJob.run(InternalWorkspaceJob.java:38) at org.eclipse.core.internal.jobs.Worker.run(Worker.java:55) Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset at java.net.SocketInputStream.read(Unknown Source) at java.io.BufferedInputStream.fill(Unknown Source) at java.io.BufferedInputStream.read1(Unknown Source) at java.io.BufferedInputStream.read(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.parseHTTPHeader(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.parseHTTP(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.http.HttpClient.parseHTTP(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(Unknown Source) at sun.net.www.protocol.http.HttpURLConnection.getHeaderFieldKey(Unknown Source) at com.google.appengine.tools.util.ClientCookieManager.readCookies(ClientCookieManager.java:123) at com.google.appengine.tools.admin.ServerConnection.connect(ServerConnection.java:340) at com.google.appengine.tools.admin.ServerConnection.getAuthCookie(ServerConnection.java:314) ... 11 more

  • How do I use .htaccess to redirect to a URL containing HTTP_HOST?

    - by Jon Cram
Problem I need to redirect some short convenience URLs to longer actual URLs. The site in question uses a set of subdomains to identify a set of development or live versions. I would like the URL to which certain requests are redirected to include the HTTP_HOST such that I don't have to create a custom .htaccess file for each host. Host-specific Example (snipped from .htaccess file) Redirect /terms http://support.dev01.example.com/articles/terms/ This example works fine for the development version running at dev01.example.com. If I use the same line in the main .htaccess file for the development version running under dev02.example.com I'd end up being redirected to the wrong place. Ideal rule (not sure of the correct syntax) Redirect /terms http://support.{HTTP_HOST}/articles/terms/ This rule does not work and merely serves as an example of what I'd like to achieve. I could then use the exact same rule under many different hosts and get the correct result. Answers? Can this be done with mod_alias or does it require the more complex mod_rewrite? How can this be achieved using mod_alias or mod_rewrite? I'd prefer a mod_alias solution if possible. Clarifications I'm not staying on the same server. I'd like: http://example.com/terms/ - http://support.example.com/articles/terms/ https://secure.example.com/terms/ - http://support.example.com/articles/terms/ http://dev.example.com/terms/ - http://support.dev.example.com/articles/terms/ https://secure.dev.example.com/terms/ - http://support.dev.example.com/articles/terms/ I'd like to be able to use the same rule in the .htaccess file on both example.com and dev.example.com. In this situation I'd need to be able to refer to the HTTP_HOST as a variable rather than specifying it literally in the URL to which requests are redirected. I'll investigate the HTTP_HOST parameter as suggested but was hoping for a working example.

  • IIS7 URL Rewriting: How not to drop HTTPS protocol from rewritten URL?

    - by Scott Mitchell
I'm working on a website that's using IIS 7's URL rewriting feature to do a permanent redirect from example.com to www.example.com, as well as rewrites from similar domain names to the "main" one, such as from www.examples.com to www.example.com. This rewrite rule - shown below - has worked well for sometime now. However, we recently added HTTPS support and noticed that if users visit one of the URLs to be rewritten to www.example.com then HTTPS is dropped. For instance, if a user visits https://example.com they get redirected to http://www.example.com, whereas we would like them to be sent to https://www.example.com. Here is the rewrite rule of interest (in Web.config): <rule name="Canonical Host Name" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="(.*)" /> <conditions logicalGrouping="MatchAny"> <add input="{HTTP_HOST}" pattern="^example\.com$" /> <add input="{HTTP_HOST}" pattern="^(www\.)?example\.net$" /> <add input="{HTTP_HOST}" pattern="^(www\.)?example\.info$" /> <add input="{HTTP_HOST}" pattern="^(www\.)?examples\.com$" /> </conditions> <action type="Redirect" url="http://www.example.com/{R:1}" redirectType="Permanent" /> </rule> As you can see, the action element's url attribute points directly to http://, so I get why https://example.com is redirected to http://www.example.com. My question is, how do I fix this? I tried (naively) to just drop the http:// part from the url attribute, but that didn't work. Thanks!
