  • Apache 403 - looking .htaccess in parent's parent directory

    I am having this problem (apache2, ubuntu 12.04) I have put all my sites in /home/username/vhosts folder I have added permissions to home and username to be x and chmod -r 777 on vhosts Added /etc/hosts to access my sites with desired names Did a2enmod rewrite But still I have this error: [Sat Jun 23 00:05:23 2012] [crit] [client 127.0.0.1] (13)Permission denied: /home/username/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable WHY is it not readable? I did sudo -s su - www-data and with that I can correctly list the /home/username dir What is wrong with me or apache?

    I'm a little new to Nginx here so bear with me - I want to rewrite a url like foo.bar.com/newfoo?limit=30 to foo.bar.com/newfoo.php?limit=30. Seems pretty simple to do it something like this rewrite ^([a-z]+)(.*)$ $1.php$2 last; The part that I am confused about is where to put it - I've tried my hand at a some location directives but I'm doing it wrong.   • How to install PHP in a new directory in Windows

    I am using Xampp for a local dev server, I am trying to upgrade it so I can use the latest version of PHP. I had it installed in my c drive c:\webserver\php I just installed everything new in a new drive D d:\webserver\php I then boot everything up and then I run phpinfo() and it is still showing my old version of PHP and even points to the old php installation C:\webserver\php\php.ini Am I missing something obvious here?

  • Moving the home directory to a new drive

    I have no more space left on my hard-drive. So I bought a new one and I would like this hard-drive to be the home folder. I thought of copying all the stuff I have on the home folder to the hard-drive partition. and creating a symbolic-link from ~ to there. The problem I have is that I can't really delete the home folder while I'm logged in as the current user. Is there a way to log out, and log in as root in Linux Mint? I want to be able to do this without a live-CD solution.

  • zsh : How to list directory content with tab?

    I just switched from BASH to ZSH and thing are pretty good, but: when I start typing cd /usr/share/s and hit TAB, this is what I get : $ cd /usr/share/sane/ sane/ skype/ ssl-cert/ screen/ smplayer/ strigi/ seed-gtk3/ snmp/ synaptic/ sgml/ software-properties/ system-config-printer/ sgml-base/ soprano/ sysv-rc/ sgml-data/ sounds/ simple-scan/ splashy/ And this is ok. If I then hit TAB again, I get $ cd /usr/share/screen/, the next candidate, witch is also OK. (BTW, how do I cycle back to the previous candidate? Sorry, on to my question) Now what if I want to see the contents of /usr/share/screen/ now ? You now, BASH-style? The cursor is at the end of the line, will I have to ctrl-a (or home), then del del (to erase cd) then ls then ENTER? That seems like a lot of typing. (And it - possibly unnecessarily - enters the command in the history) Would not there be a key (maybe modifier-TAB? but the obvious candidates are already taken by the desktop... I digress) that would tell zsh to stop cycling through /usr/share/ and instead, just list the content /usr/share/screen/ ?

  • Skydrive unable to create directory

    I have upgraded a desktop PC from windows 8 pro to 8.1 pro. I 8, I had skydrive/desktop & skydrive/MUI. In 8.1, file syncing seems to be ok (as far as I could test it). By the way, I could not start the skydrive MUI app. It says "unable to display files on this PC". IN addition, I cannot turn the "offline file access" on in parameters tab. The option stays greyed. Is there away to fix it ? Thanks.

    The following works because I inserted the exact filename: wget --referer=http://www.*****.com --cookies=on --load-cookies=cookie.txt --keep-session-cookies --save-cookies=cookie.txt http://www.*****.com/doc/GG-15252252.html But if I just do it with the doc dir I will get a 403 error message: Connecting to www.*****.com|***.**.***.**|:**... connected. HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 403 Forbidden 2010-11-04 21:25:38 ERROR 403: Forbidden. So I can't list the dir, what can I do? Please help anybody and thanks :)!!

    I have quite a newbie question, but here it is anyway: one of our customers has a domain, e. g. examplecustomer.com which points to the customers website. This server is a apache webserver. Now we have another server using IIS 7, where some .NET web app will be running. This .NET app is in a subdirectory of the windows webserver, e. g. C:\inetpub\wwwroot\my_app\ What I would like to have: a subdomain like app.examplecustomer.com points to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\my_app\ (no redirect or so, app.examplecustomer.com is the domain that the web app is using). How can I setup the windows webserver to work that way? It should still be possible to host other apps on that server, too. Like: anotherapp.examplecustomer.com goes to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\my_anotherapp\ etc.

  • Chrooted user does not start in his home directory and does not load his bash_profiles

    If the users logs in, he starts in / of the chroot (Which is /var/jail on the real machine). I would like him to start in his home-dir. Also, he seems not to load any of his profile-files (.bash.rc etc). I followed this tutorial to create the chroot environment. This is what my /etc/passwd looks like: test:x:1004:1008:,,,:/var/jail/home/test:/bin/bash this is what my /var/jail/etc/passwd file looks like: test:x:1004:1008:,,,:/home/test:/bin/bash I also found out that, if I remove Match User test ChrootDirectory /var/jail AllowTCPForwarding no X11Forwarding no from my /etc/ssh/sshd_config, the user starts in his correct home-folder and with his bash-settings loaded. However, he is able to leave the chroot-environment if I remove that part. This question I asked before is somewhat related, since I think the wrong look of the commandline is caused from the not loaded profile-files. So any ideas how to fix this?

    Part 1 - Listing Data from Database: Let us now learn ASP.NET MVC 2 from Scratch by actually developing a front end website for the Chinook database, which is an alternative to the traditional Northwind database. You can get the Chinook database from here. As always the best way to learn something is by working on it and doing something. The Chinook database has the following schema, a quick look will help us implementing the application in a efficient way. Let us first implement a grid view table with the list of Employees with some details, this table also has the Details, Edit and Delete buttons on it to do some operations. This is series of post will concentrate on creating a simple CRUD front end for Chinook DB using ASP.NET MVC 2. In this post, we will look at listing all the possible Employees in the database in a tabular format, from which, we can then edit and delete them as required. In this post, we will concentrate on setting up our environment and then just designing a page to show a tabular information from the database. We need to first setup the SQL Server database, you can download the required version and then set it up in your localhost. Then we need to add the LINQ to SQL Classes required for us to enable interaction with our database. Now after you do the above step, just use your Server Explorer in VS 2010 to actually navigate to the database, expand the tables node and then drag drop all the tables onto the Object Relational Designer space and you go you will have the tables visualized as classes. As simple as that. Now for the purpose of displaying the data from Employee in a table, we will show only the EmployeeID, Firstname and lastname. So let us create a class to hold this information. So let us add a new class called EmployeeList to the ViewModels. We will send this data model to the View and this can be displayed in the page. public class EmployeeList { public int EmployeeID { get; set; } public string Firstname { get; set; } public string Lastname { get; set; } public EmployeeList(int empID, string fname, string lname) { this.EmployeeID = empID; this.Firstname = fname; this.Lastname = lname; } } Ok now we have got the backend ready. So in the top of the Index.aspx view, we have this inherits which says Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage<IEnumerable<ChinookMvcSample.ViewModels.EmployeeList>>" In this above line, we dictate that the page is consuming a IEnumerable collection of EmployeeList. So once we specify this and compile the project. In the index.aspx page, we add some jQuery stuff add alternate row colours and highlight colours for rows on mouse over. Now the Controller that handles the requests and directs the request to the right view.     I am trying to retrieve a group policy from a Windows Server 2008 Active Directory and change the minimum password age, maximum password age, and minimum password length in a C# application. Is there a way to do this? So far I have only found out how to create new Group Policy objects using Interop.GPMGMTLib (gpmgmt.dll), yet I haven't figured out how to change the policy's password rules and I am not sure if there is an easier way.

    This question is regarding using STSADM command to create new site collection in Active Directory Account creation mode. My setup is like this- I have 2 virtual PCs in a Windows XP Pro SP3 host. Both VPCs are Windows Server 2003 R2. One VPC acts as the DC, DNS Server, DHCP server, has Active Directory installed and is also the Database Server. The other VPC is the domain member and it is the IIS web server, POP/SMTP server and it has WSS 3.0 installed. I created a new site using the GUI in Central Admin page. For creating a site collection under the newly created site, I needed to use the STSADM command line tool since it cannot be done from Central Admin page in Active Directory Account creation mode. My folder architecture is as follows: basefolder/ basefolder/main.lua basefolder/conf.lua basefolder/Resources/ My conf.lua reads: function love.conf(t) t.window.width = 1280 t.window.height = 720 end Is it something with my code, or with how my directory is set up?

If someone can found out the pass of the client that is using the wcf services, can he create the same user name on different computer and use the password to access the wcf services ?     Hello, I want to make a little script but I'm rather n00b in php so please help me if you can :) What I want the script to do is: I have "index.php". I want "index.php" to read the sub-directories from a known folder, let's say "templates/" Each sub-directory will contain a file called "content.html". The index will then load the "content.html" with the require() function for each of the existing sub-directories. Thank you very much for your help!
