I want to test whether the value of the input upon 'blur' is also in the array and if it is do something. Knowing a bit of python I tried something like this: var existing_animals = ['Monkey','Cheetah','Elephant','Lizard','Spider'] $('input').blur(function() { user_animal = $(this).val() if (user_animal in existing_animals) { alert('Animal already exists!') } }); So, how rookie is my mistake?

    I'm running SQL Server 2005 Express. And I'm trying to do a bulk insert/import of a data file with a field/row terminator that uses a hexadecimal value 0x001. How should I represent it in a bulk insert command? I have something like: bulk insert xxx.dbo.[yyy] from 'D:\zzz\zzz.dat' with ( CODEPAGE='RAW', FIELDTERMINATOR = '=|=', ROWTERMINATOR = '=|=\001\n', KEEPNULLS ); which results in Msg 4863, Level 16, State 1, Line 7 Bulk load data conversion error (truncation) for row 1, column 3 (code).

    Hi, I have a php script that inserts values into mySQL table INSERT INTO stories (title) VALUES('$_REQUEST[title]); I checked the values of my request variables before going into the table and it's fine. But when I add title=john to the table for example, I get something like this: title = "[][][][]john" and when I extract the value, it's a newline then john. I have my columns set to utf-8, I tried swedish character set as well. Note: I don't get this error when inserting values from the phpMyAdmin commandline

Do I really need to go the full fledged way creating a class MemThread(threading.Thread) and overwriting __init__ and __run__?

    Hi everyone, I have an C# form application that use an access database. This application works perfectly in debug and release. It works on all version of Windows. But it crash on one computer with Windows 7. The message I got is: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: No value given for one or more required parameters.     In C#, is it possible to decorate an Enum type with an attribute or do something else to specify what the default value should be, without having the change the values? Since it's optional, I can either default the maximum to a special value or to the maximum possible integer.
