  I have listview with textview which I use textview for search items in listview. It works true but just in English. I can not change the keyboard to Persian. • How to map keys in vim differently for different kinds of buffers

  The problem i am facing is that i have mapped some keys and mouse events for seraching in vim while editing a file. But those mappings impact the functionality if the quickfix buffer. I was wondering if it is possible to map keys depending on the buffer in which they are used. EDIT - I am adding more info for this question Let us consider a scenario. I want to map <C-F4> to close a buffer/window. Now this behavior could depend on a number of things. If i am editing a buffer it should just close that buffer without changing the layout of the windows. I am using buffkil plugin for this. It does not depend on extension of file but on the type of buffer. I saw in vim documentation that there are unlisted and listed buffer. So if it is listed buffer it should close using bufkill commands. If it is not a listed buffer it should use <c-w>c command to close buffer and changing the window layout. I am new at writing vim functions/scripts, can someone help me getting started on this

• Why would dynamically changing the stroke type of a GestureOverlayView cause unusual behaviour?

  I recently introduced multi-stroke gestures into my application. This is a preference so I set the StrokeType dynamically in Activity.OnCreate. What I have discovered is that if you change the StrokeType so that it is different to the setting in the layout file, it changes the behaviour of the GestureOverlayView in the following way. The normal behaviour is that you draw a gesture and it stays on the screen after it is drawn. When you change the stroke type dynamically however, any gesture drawn on the screen disappears immediately after the OnGestureEnded event has fired. I reloaded the sample GesturesBuilder application and confirmed it has the same problem if you add the second line shown here: GestureOverlayView overlay = (GestureOverlayView) findViewById(R.id.gestures_overlay); overlay.setGestureStrokeType(GestureOverlayView.GESTURE_STROKE_TYPE_SINGLE); overlay.addOnGestureListener(new GesturesProcessor()); } The default in the layout is MULTIPLE but changing it to single changes the behaviour. If you keep the above line but set it to what it already is, the behaviour is not affected. Is this a bug in the Android gestures library and does anyone know a workaround? Note that this is on an HTC Magic so it could also be a handset issue.

• Set JTabbedPane width to constant

  I'm implementing an UI in Java Swing. Therefore I use a JTabbedPane. The tabbedPane has no components at startup. When i add a tab to the tabbedpane, the width of the tabbedpane increases, when i remove the tab, the width resizes to the width at the startup. This should not happen. The tabbedpane is placed on a JPanel which has a gridbag layout. • Jquery Modal Popup opens twice on Single Click with ASP.Net MVC3

  I am using Modal Popup in my MVC3 application it works fine but opens twice for a single Click on the link. The Modal pop is triggered from the 'Index' view of my Home Controller. I am calling a view 'PopUp.cshtml' in my modal popup. The related ActionMethod 'PopUp' for the respective view is in my 'Home' controller.   I am trying to get my first button to update a display number in my view when clicked. This view will have several buttons and "outputs" displayed. When I had set the view to have a TextView with the number set as a string , the number displayed, but I could not figure out how to update the text with a numerical field. That may be my real problem. I have gone through many examples generally referenced from the dev. site (UI, Common Tasks, various samples), and I am still not seeing the connection here... Again, this is simply a try at getting variables to respond to buttons and update on the view. So, a few Q's for anyone that can help; 1) Is there any easier way of doing this (ie. send numerical value to View) ? 2) Why isn't my TextSwitcher displaying the number? 3) Should I be using a TextSwitcher here? 4) Any examples of this you can point me to?

• UITableView overlaps with NavigationBar in Storyboard Setting on first run

  I know this seems to be a duplicate question which has been around here many many times, but believe me, I tried all iOS7 and earlier fixes which sets the Layout to a different Edge configuration without any change. My Storyboard looks like this: -> Navigation Controller -> Tab Bar Controller -> MyTableViewController -> VCForCellOne With the first run of my application the UITableView overlaps with the source NavigationController as shown here: After clicking on one of my Cells which pushes the corresponding ViewController to the NavigationController and going back again, everything looks fine as shown here: So everything is as it should be after once pushing another ViewController to the NavigationController and then going back. Switching from Portrait to Landscape and back also fixes the layout problem and everything is layed out as it should be. My ViewController within the Storyboard looks like this: I left it the default value, so I don't know what goes wrong here. I hope you understand my problem here. There's no custom class ViewController here, so no additional code which messes up something here. Any help highly appreciated!

  What are the best practices to be followed to update the contents of a listactivty by a background thread (Async Task) ? 1) Am calling the notifyDataSetChanged() to update the adapter as soon as i manipulate the contents of the adapter but still my app force closes while the user scrolls or click on the list. Any pointers to prevent this would be very helpfull. Logcat: java.lang.IllegalStateException: The content of the adapter has changed but ListView did not receive a notification. 2) Where exaclty should i update contents of the listactivity ? inside the doInBackground() or onProgressUpdate()? 3) Am experiencing regular crashes when the user clicks the list item. So will disabling click events on the listactivty during the background operation solve the problem ? If so am not sure how to remove or set item click listeners dynamically to the listactivity. Please instruct me on the too. 4) I dont think blocking all ui interactions during the background async task execution is the only way to solve the problem. I know there is a simple way of doing this but need some help. Thanks in advance. • Problem when exiting search in iPhone

  Hi. I have a search display controller, and it is searching well. I'm searching in a table with several sections and I have a viewForHeaderInSection function working as it's supposed to. When I start searching, my numberOfSectionsForTableView returns 1, and I have a special view saying "Search Results" wich I use in self.searchDisplayController.searchResultsTableView. The problem happens when I select a row in my searchResultsTableView: I change the view, and when I return and try to exit the searchDisplayController (by pressing the CancelButton), the tables change nice, but changing the viewforHeader for my first section is not "pretty". I have a "kind-of-click" anymation. I would like it to not be so noticeable for the user, having a more "fluid" change. Anybody had the same problem and knows how to solve it? In a different question (which would work as a workaround): how can I hide the keyboard while searching without pressing the Cancel or Search buttons? Thanks a lot!

Do, am I inflating it wrongly ? Or is maybe the new TableRow.LayoutParams() part doins omething wrong ?

• How to import 3rd party libraries

  I found some cool android libraries the other day and decided to try some. But I'm having trouble correctly importing the library. This is the URL of the library : https://github.com/dmytrodanylyk/android-process-button I first tried importing the library to eclipse (and move the files in java directory to src directory and set the project as library) and importing the sample to eclipse and set it to use the library project (Properties-Android-Libraries). But it didn't work. The layout files said it failed to instantiate [custom widget class]. The I tried importing the .jar file to libs directory (and update the java build path) but it didn't work either. It showed errors in the java files too. I then tried copying all the java and layout files to the sample project directory and it worked. But I'm guessing that's not the way to work with 3rd party libraries. I first thought it's some error with the library but all the other libraries I tried to import to my projects faced the same problem. Can someone walk me through how to correctly import a 3rd party library to my android project?

• What is the best way to embed SQL in VB.NET.

  I am looking for information on the best practices or project layout for software that uses SQL embedded inside VB.NET or C#. The software will connect to a full SQL DB. The software was written in VB6 and ported to VB.NET, we want to update it to use .NET functionality but I am not sure where to start with my research. We are using Visual Studio 2005. All database manipulations are done from VB. Update: To clarify. We are currently using SqlConnection, SqlDataAdapter, SqlDataReader to connect to the database. What I mean by embed is that the SQL stored procedures are scripted inside our VB code and then run on the db. All of our tables, stored procs, views, etc are all manipulated in the VB code. The layout of our code is quite messy. I am looking for a better architecture or pattern that we can use to organize our code. Can you recommend any books, webpages, topics that I can google, etc to help me better understand the best way for us to do this.

  I have web application where I store users' password and username. If you logon to this site, you can login with the password and username to have access to your profile. There is another option that requires you to login to my site from your site and have your profile within your site. This is because you might already have a site that your clients know you with. This latter part is what I don't know to implement. I have these ideas: Have a fixed IFrame within your site to contain my site: but I am concerned about size/layout since different clients have different layout/size for their content section. I am thinking of how to maintain session too A webservice: I don't know how feasible this is since the Password and ID are on my server. You may have to send them back and forth. It means client would have to code with my API.   Hi there, I'm building a CMS for my own needs, and finished planning my database layout. Basically I am abstracting all possible data-models into "sections" and all entries into one table. The final layout is as follows: Database diagram: I have yet to be allowed to post images, so here is a link to a diagram of my database. Entries (section_entries) are children of their section (sections). I save all edits to the entries in a new revision (section_entries_revisions), and also track revisions on the sections (section_revisions), in order to match the values of a revision, to the fields of the section that existed when the entry-revision was made. The section-revisions can have a number of fields (section_revision_fields) that define the attributes of entries in the section. There is a many-to-many relationship between the fields (section_revision_fields) and the entry-revisions (section_entry_revisions), that stores the values of the attributes defined by the section revision. Feel free to ask questions if the diagram is confusing. Now, this is the most complex SQL I've ever worked with, and the task of fetching my data is a little daunting. Basically what i want help with, is fetching an entry, when the only known variables are; section_id, section_entry_id. The query should fetch the most recent revision of that entry, and the section_revision model corresponding to section_revision_id in the section_entry_revisions table. It should also fetch the values of the fields in the section-revision. I was hoping for a query result, where there would be as many rows as fields in the section. Each row would contain the information of the entry and the section, and then information for one of the fields (e.g. each row corresponding to a field and it's value). I tried to explain the best I could. Again, feel free to ask questions if my description somehow lacking. I hope someone is up for the challenge. Best regards. :-)

  I want to create an activity with a ListView on the left and a TextView on the right, side by side. I write the following xml, but the ListView occupies the entire page and it don't worry about the wrap_content. Why? • Zoom in Java Swing application

  Hi there, I am looking for ways to zoom in a Java Swing application. That means that I would like to resize all components in a given JPanel by a given factor as if I would take an screenshot of the UI and just applied an "Image scale" operation. The font size as well as the size of checkboxes, textboxes, cursors etc. has to be adjusted. It is possible to scale a component by applying transforms to a graphics object: protected Graphics getComponentGraphics(Graphics g) { Graphics2D g2d=(Graphics2D)g; g2d.scale(2, 2); return super.getComponentGraphics(g2d); } That works as long as you don't care about self-updating components. If you have a textbox in your application this approach ceases to work since the textbox updates itself every second to show the (blinking) cursor. And since it doesn't use the modified graphics object this time the component appears at the old location. Is there a possibility to change a components graphics object permanently? There is also a problem with the mouse click event handlers. The other possibility would be to resize all child components of the JPanel (setPreferredSize) to a new size. That doesn't work for checkboxes since the displayed picture of the checkbox doesn't change its size. I also thought of programming my own layout manager but I don't think that this will work since layout managers only change the position (and size) of objects but are not able to zoom into checkboxes (see previous paragraph). Or am I wrong with this hypothesis? Do you have any ideas how one could achieve a zoomable Swing GUI without programming custom components? I looked for rotatable user interfaces because the problem seems familiar but I also didn't find any satisfying solution to this problem. Thanks for your help, Chris

  I'm using a virtual keyboard. I have a checkbox that controls whether the virtual keyboard is displayed or not. The thing is that I don't understand how to disable it. I try to unbind it but it doesn't work...   Hello eveyone, i using elastic in my script. I have also jQuery Tabs (every will be get over AJAX and content a textarea) and a timer for Saving content all 3 minutes. So some JS code... I have 2 parts on my site, left and right. On the right side i have 2 tabs (jQuery not AJAX) with each one textarea. And Left side between 5-10 Textareas each in Tab but they gonna be loaded only if Tab is activ (AJAX). my Problem is: If i paste a lot of text in a Textarea (1000 characters) the writing get slowed, not fluid, jerky. It ist 100% the elastic problem, without elastic there no Problem while writing. Have some one an idea for the solution of this Porblem? Is it Overload?
