PHP+MYSQL Server Config

Hi guys, I am parsing an XML file with PHP and inserting the rows in a MYSQL database. I am using PHP simplexml_load_files to load the XML and a foreach to loop through the array and insert the rows into my database. It works perfectly fine with small files i am testing, but it comes to reality I need to parse a large 500mb XML file and nothing happens. I was wondering what was the right Php.ini config for this case ? I have a VPS Linux Cent OS, with 256 mb of dedicated Memory and MYSQL 5.0.5. I have also set php memory_limit = 256M (maximum of my server) Any suggestions, similar experiences will be greatly appreciated Thanks

What is common between environments within a shell terminal session?

I have a custom shell script that runs each time a user logs in or identity is assumed, its been placed in /etc/profile.d and performs some basic env variable operations. Recently I added some code so that if screen is running it will reattach it without needing me to type anything. There are some problems however. If I log-in as root, and su - to another user, the code runs a second time. Is there a variable I can set when the code runs the first time that will prevent a second run of the code? I thought to write something to the disk but then I dont want to prevent the code from running if I begin a new terminal session. Here is the code in question. It first attempts to reattach - if unsuccessful because its already attached (as it might be on an interruped session) it will 'take' the session back. screen -r if [ -z "$STY" ]; then exec screen -dR fi Ultimately this bug prevents me from substituting user to another user because as soon as I do so, it grabs the screen session and puts me right back where I started. Is there a way I can use to exec the command in my script then show the results. I have used system and exec for pinging. if i was in the terminal i do the login. then type "get hardware cpu" in the terminal it would look like this: Test~ $ get hardware cpu

Where should I store my App specific config files in WPF

Background : I have some Application Data. i.e. the Database, come important config files. This data is vital for the application to start else it is exited. Problem : Where should I store this data. i.e in which folder and where. Right Now (This is wrong) it is stored in a folder in Debug/App_Data. But is causing issues in git and when we publish the App the data is not found. So where can we store this folder ? Present Structure is "WpfApplication2\WpfApplication2\bin\Debug" These Files need to be present when the app is started. So they need to be a part of the app itself.

In the app.config file if I use <add key = "FileDelimeter" value ="&#2c;"/> as unicode for COMMA, it is throwing error Invalid character in a decimal number 'c' For SPACE, <add key = "FileDelimeter" value =""/> the error is Character'', hex value 0*14 is illegal in xml while <add key = "FileDelimeter" value ="	"/> for "\t" worked. Where is the mistake? Kindly give a generic solution. Thanks

How can i get list of all values? I am using c# 3.5. Is there lambda expression or something i can use to get that?

I'm triying to compile my iPhone app from ssh. This is for my build tool that run in another machine. The base sdk is iPhone Device 3.0. Where can I get the 11.04 kernel .config file?

I'm using Maverick with the latest available kernels on kernel.org and building them myself. Until now I've been basing my configuration off the stock Maverick kernel and accepting the make oldconfig defaults. I've been doing this for 3 major releases now so I figure I'm starting to slip behind the current "standard". I would like to re-base my kernels off the new Natty .config file. Is this available somewhere online or do I have to download the whole kernel package and extract it? Edit: I've manually pulled in the config from the latest Natty kernel package and I can confirm that I propbably should have done this sooner. A lot of differences between my old "evolved" config and the Natty default. Now if I could just do this without 20 minutes of hunting and downloading the package so I can re-base in the future.

Fluent config not generating mapping files

Hello, I am trying to get Fluent nHibernate to generate mappings so I can take a look at the files and the sql. In the development, QA, UAT and PRD environments everything works fine. But on another machine I now need to install the web service on (which I cannot debug, unfortunately), the directory string is 'C:Files'. Just to be sure I double checked the .NET version on the different machines (I thought perhaps the usage of @ before a string was version-dependent); all machines use 2.0.50727. Others developments have been done with this kind of authentication but sadly for me their creators are long gone and i have no contact or documentation. I'm using Visual Studio 2008 and i'm accessing a webservice that is in a remote server. The server is a windows server 2008 r2 standard and is using ISS version 7.5. Since i have the source code of the other developments what i did was copy paste and was working fine when i was calling the webservice that was in my machine (localhost). I have setup a ghettoVCB script in order to backup three VM. I put it in a crontab but I have an issue. In my backup folder I have 3 different folders, one for each VM. It seems that a backup didn't finish the process. github like workflow on private server over ssh

I have an server (available via ssh) on the internet that my friend and I use for working on projects together. We have started using git for source control. Our setup currently is as follows: Friend created repository on server with git init named project.friend.git I cloned project.friend.git on server to project.jesse.git I then cloned project.jesse.git on server to my local machine using git clone jesse@server:/git_repos/project.jesse.git I work on my local machine and commit to the local machine. When I want to push my changes to the project.jesse.git on server I use git push origin master. My friend is working on project.friend.git. When I want to get his changes I do pull jesse@server:/git_repos/project.friend.git. I am attempting to compile/run a sample WCF application from Juval Lowy's website (author of Programming WCF Services & founder of IDesign). The application is an example of a publish/subscribe 'traffic-light' application that requires using VS 2010/.Net 4. This is my first attempt at using anything other than VS 2008/Net 3.5.
