    There is a host: secure.foo.com that exposes a webservice using https I want to create a reverse proxy using Apache that maps a local http port on a server internal.bar.com to the https service exposed by secure.foo.com Since it a web service I need to map all urls so that a path: https://secure.foo.com/some/path/123 is accessible by going to: http://internal.bar.com/some/path/123 Thanks.   • Preserving CSS styles with Javascript

    Hey guys, I have a web service where people can edit their pages CSS, but I have a bar on the footer of that page that I want to make consistend on every page... People are, right now, able to "remove" it with CSS and I really didn't want to go and parse the CSS to remove rules related to that bar... Is there a way to preserve the styles or re-aply them after load to keep the bar always visible? Thanks in advanced!

  • IIS: redirect everything to another URL, except for one Directory

    I have an IIS server (IIS 6, Win 2003) that hosts the site http://www.foo.com. I want any request to http://foo.com (no matter what path/filename is used) to redirect to http://www.bar.org/AwesomePage.html UNLESS the request is for http://www.foo.com/specialdir, in which case the HTML files in the local directory specialdir should be used. The problem I have is once the redirect is set it also affects /specialdir - even if I right click on that directory and select "content should come from ... local directory" that change does not take effect, and the directory still shows as redirecting to http://www.bar.org/AwesomePage.html. The same thing happens if I try to set individual files to load from the local system instead of redirecting - IIS gives no error, but the change does not take effect and the files still show as being redirected. How can I set specialdir to override the redirection to the new URL?

There are quite a few javascript (Flot...) charting libraries but I'd rather use something similar to Coreplot on iPhone if it is possible. I didn't find anything on top of SVG (JSR 226) or open GL ES (JSR 239) so any help is appreciated. Ideally, I'd like to be able to: draw Bar Charts (both vertical and horizontal) draw Stacked bar charts draw Pie charts drill-down one level on each bar or pie section to get corresponding information

  • Crystal Reports Legends

    Is there a way to force a Bar Chart legend in Crystal Report 11.5 to display its objects in a particular order? For Example, say I am reporting on the consumption of "Bananas" and "Apples" by State. The Bar Chart should display the percentage of people who eat these fruits by county (Percent Bar Chart). The "Apples" percentage always displays on top of the bar chart and the "Bananas" on the bottom. The legend for this graph also displays the "Apple" color first, then the "Banana" color. However, if the "Banana" percentage is 0% the legend displays the "Banana" color first on the legend. This creates a inconsistent report (with plenty of complaints). I would like the "Banana" color to always display second in the legend. Hope I didn't confuse anyone and any ideas would be helpful.

  • Javascript Mouseover bubbling from children

    Ive got the following html setup: <div id="div1"> <div id="content1">blaat</div> <div id="content1">blaat2</div> </div> it is styled so you can NOT hover div1 without hovering one of the other 2 divs. Now i've got a mouseout on div1. The problem is that my div1.mouseout gets triggered when i move from content1 to content2, because their mouseouts are bubbling. and the event's target, currentTarget or relatedTarget properties are never div1, since it is never hovered directly... I've been searching mad for this, but I can only find articles and solutions for problems who are the reverse of what I need. It seems trivial but I can't get it to work... The mouseout of div1 should ONLY get triggered when the mouse leaves div1. One of the possibilities would be to set some data on mouse enter and mouseleave, but I'm convinced this should work out of the box, since it is just a mouseout... EDIT: bar.mouseleave(function(e) { if ($(e.currentTarget).attr('id') == bar.attr('id')) { bar.css('top', '-'+contentOuterHeight+'px'); $('#floatable-bar #floatable-bar-tabs span').removeClass('active'); } }); changed the mouseout to mouseleave and the code worked...

  • C#: standard Windows menu bars in Windows Forms

    I noticed that adding a MenuStrip (from the VS Toolbox) to my form design doesn't yield a menu bar like many native Windows applications. Instead I get a menu bar like VS's own. None of the style settings for MenuStrip appear to mimic the much more common native menu bar. Is there a way to add a menu bar to my Windows Forms application that looks the same as the one you see in Notepad, Task Manager, Windows Explorer and others? (Preferably with the designer, but I wouldn't mind adding it programmatically either.)

I can check it by making the example fail, giving me two red "F"s. One thing I thought was that adding spec to the SpecTask's libs was causing them to be double-defined, but removing that doesn't seem to have any effect.

    I need a sparse table which contains a set of "override" values for another table. I also need to specify the default value for the items overridden. For example, if the default value is 17, then foo,bar,baz will have the values 17,21,17: table "things" table "xvalue" name stuff name xval ---- ----- ---- ---- foo ... bar 21 bar ... baz ... If I don't care about a FK from xvalue.name - things.name, I could simply put a "DEFAULT" name: table "xvalue" name xval ---- ---- DEFAULT 17 bar 21 But I like having a FK. I could have a separate default table, but it seems odd to have 2x the number of tables. table "xvalue_default" xval ---- 17 table "xvalue" name xval ---- ---- bar 21 I could have a "defaults table" tablename attributename defaultvalue xvalue xval 17 but then I run into type issues on defaultvalue. My operations guys prefer as compact a representation as possible, so they can most easily see the "diff" or deviations from the default. What's the best way to represent this, including the default value? This will be for Oracle 10.2 if that makes a difference.

  • After updating debian lenny, ps stops recognising my users

    Since upgrading my debian lenny box with apt-get, ps seems to be behaving strangely, and also if i run top i see under the user column the ids, not the names. whoami => foo ps -U foo => ERROR: User name does not exist.     I've set up my zsh to update the XTerm title whenever I change directories. It's neat! Unfortunately I have one common problem, which is this: % cd foo; # title changes to "host1:~/foo" % ssh host2; # title changes to "host2:~" % pwd /home/user/foo # title is still "host2:~" I need to run some command anytime an ssh connection terminates, either chpwd, or cd ., or something similar. I don't think I can use an alias, because I'd need something like alias ssh=ssh $*; cd . but AFAICT you can't pick where the arguments go in an alias.

  • URLs with query stripped of ampersands appearing in error logs

    I've noticed a curious phenomena popping up in my error logs recently. If, as the result of processing a form, I redirect my users to the URL http://www.example.com/index.php?foo=bar&bar=baz, I will see the following two URLs in my log http://www.example.com/index.php?foo=barbar=baz http://www.example.com/index.php?foo=bar&bar=baz The first one is obviously incorrect and will cause my application to redirect to a 404. It always appears first, usually a second before the second one. The 404 page is not doing the redirection, so it appears that the browser is trying both versions. At first, looking at my server logs made me believe it affected only Firefox 3.6.3, but I've found an example of Safari being afflicted as well. It happens fairly intermittently, though it can occur multiple times in a users' session. I've never been able to get it to happen to me. Any thoughts as to the nature of the problem or a solution?

  • Calling DI Container directly in method code (MVC Actions)

    I'm playing with DI (using Unity). I've learned how to do Constructor and Property injection. I have a static container exposed through a property in my Global.asax file (MvcApplication class). I have a need for a number of different objects in my Controller. It doesn't seem right to inject these throught the constructor, partly because of the high quantity of them, and partly because they are only needed in some Actions methods. The question is, is there anything wrong with just calling my container directly from within the Action methods? public ActionResult Foo() { IBar bar = (Bar)MvcApplication.Container.Resolve(IBar); // ... Bar uses a default constructor, I'm not actually doing any // injection here, I'm just telling my conatiner to give me Bar // when I ask for IBar so I can hide the existence of the concrete // Bar from my Controller. } This seems the simplest and most efficient way of doing things, but I've never seen an example used in this way. Is there anything wrong with this? Am I missing the concept in some way?

    I'm trying to learn how to use the expect command, to help me automate deployment of some software via shell scripts, and figured I start with something simple to get me started. I've created a file in my home dir called 'foo' using: touch foo And I've created the following script saved as test.exp #!/usr/bin/expect spawn rm -i foo expect "rm: remove regular empty file `foo'?" send "y\r" When I run the script using ./test.exp, it spawns the rm command, but it doesn't appear to send the Y and carriage return. I know I don't have a typo in the expect string, as I've used copy and paste to put in the script. What am I doing wrong?

  • Updating ToolStripProgressBar and ToolStripStatusLabel along with with an action

    In a Windows Form, I have a search box that fires an event to search a remote database and display some results. The query is pretty fast, usually just a fraction of a second, but in case the delay is noticeable there is a progress bar and label in the form's status bar. When the user clicks "Search" the status label should appear and the progress bar show some progress. Then when the result comes back the label should disappear and the progress bar should be full. Pretty basic response. The problem is, I can't get those actions to happen in that order. Using the code below, I click "Search", nothing happens until the results are displayed, and then the progress bar fills up from 0 to 100. The label never appears. I even threw in a sleep command immediately after the event to be sure I wasn't just missing it, but it's as if the first 2 statements are not being executed. What am I doing wrong here? private void searchButton_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { toolStripStatusLabel1.Visible = true; toolStripProgressBar1.Value = 20; m_changeRequestedEvents.Fire<String>("SearchTerm", searchTextBox.Text); toolStripProgressBar1.Value = 100; toolStripStatusLabel1.Visible = false; }
