  • How do I find out what android system icons mean?

    Ok, so I've got an andoid phone with a bunch of icons up the top, looks like app notifications go on the left, system icons go on the right. Most of the system icons seem reasonably intuitive, service, 3g, wireless etc. I've recently gotten a new one that looks like a phone being tilted / shaken and have absolutely no idea what it means.     In Delphi, it is possible to create an array of the type var Arr: array[2..N] of MyType; which is an array of N - 1 elements indexed from 2 to N. If we instead declare a dynamic array var Arr: array of MyType and later allocate N - 1 elements by means of SetLength(Arr, N - 1) then the elements will be indexed from 0 to N - 2. Is it possible to make them indexed from 2 to N (say) instead?

    I am monitoring my application using Activity Monitor and whenever NSOpenPanel is called the application appears as having 9 threads and stays like that until the application is closed. Is there a way to release those threads?, Or am I simply misunderstanding what the threads number means?, surely it isn't a good thing to have them open for no reason. Any help would be appreciated

    I have a list which I shuffle with the Python built in shuffle function (random.shuffle) However, the Python reference states: Note that for even rather small len(x), the total number of permutations of x is larger than the period of most random number generators; this implies that most permutations of a long sequence can never be generated. Now, I wonder what this "rather small len(x)" means. 100, 1000, 10000,... Can anybody clarify? Thanks!

    Hi, My CrystalReportViewer won't display the charts in my Crystal Report. I get a red X. I am using C# and MVC. I've read somewehre that I might need a virtual path to the image folder but I am not really sure what that means as my chart is embedded in the report....Maybe I am missing something. I've tried using a ScrollView with a LinearLayout child, and putting my ListViews in the LinearView, but all of the ListViews lock to a fixed height with scroll bars. Using other kinds of Layouts means no scrolling.

    Hi, I try to use the SQL statement SELECT * FROM table ORDER BY column via an PDO-Object in PHP. Problem is, that I always get an error (Call to a member function fetchall() on a non-object - that means, the query did not return a PDO-object) when using the names of all columnname EXCEPT for ID. When I query SELECT * FROM table ORDER BY ID it works. ID is the PRIMARY INTEGER KEY, all other columns are TEXT or NUMERIC, neither of them would works with the ORDER BY clause. Any ideas?

    I got a Type whose FullName is (if this helps) : "System.Collections.ObjectModel.ObservableCollection`1[[System.String, mscorlib, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089]]" From that Type, I'd like to get "System.Collections.ObjectModel.ObservableCollection" as a string but I'd like to do it "cleanly", which means, without spliting the string with the char '`'. I think the strategy is to get something like a Type or something else whose FullName will be "System.Collections.ObjectModel.ObservableCollection" but I really don't manage to do it :/
