  • utorrent does not work with proxy server

    I have utorrent 3.2.2(build 28500) 32-bit. I am trying to download torrent using a proxy server but nothing is working. It shows that you have a wrong network configuration. But the same server settings is working for Google chrome and Internet Download Manager. How to do it ? Also one questions: Any way to convert torrent to direct download other than zbigz.com, torrific.com and torcache.com ( i tried them, not working)?

  • Low CPU usage but High fan speed

    The problem I am facing is the CPU fan rotates with high speed even though the CPU usage is very low, less than 10%. I even cleaned the Dust off the Fan, I replaced the Thermal Material on the Processor. Installed an Extra Fan. Nothing seems to Work. Please Help.

    My PC has recently started hanging completely whenever I start online video or video chat. Nothing works, even tried Ctrl+Alt+Del and mouse does not respond, leaving me only one option of hard reboot. I changed my monitor recently. Don't know whether it is the cause of the problem.     I've run into an issue with my KVM host which runs VMs on a LVM volume. As of last night the logical volumes are no longer seen as such (I can't create snapshots of them even though I have been for months now). I am not the owner of the file, but file belongs to root:samba, and I am member of samba group, and file permissions are rwxrw-r-- There is message "Cannot move file to trash, do you want to delete immediately?".   • Chrome in Linux Ubuntu stays in Full screen mode

    I've recently installed the latest version of Chrome for Linux on my Ubuntu 9.10 installation. The only problem is is that it stays in Full Screen mode no matter what I do. I pressed F11 but it does not want to return to normal mode. I even completely uninstalled it using synaptic package manager en re-downloaded it and still nothing. Any suggestions will be welcome.

    I've install apache2 on an Unbuntu 12.04 machine, but I can't get the server to start at boot time. Although I've tried many things : reinstall apache2 run update-rc.d apache2 enable But each time the apache2 is not start after boot time : I get nothing with a pgrep apache2 or a ps -e | grep apache2 UPDATE I've also tried the logging tweak suggested in another related post, but no entries at all can be found in /var/log/syslog What could I do to make it work ?   • Can't install "Docky" theme?

    So to install a theme for Docky on Ubuntu I had to extract the theme from the Archive Manager via root to /usr/local/share/docky/themes. I did this but it didn't show up in the theme choices. Then I tried just pressing the install button and locating it but I couldn't see the tar file. I then extracted the tar file to the desktop and tried selecting that to install but nothing. What am I doing wrong!?

Running the script from the terminal works (although I had to change its permissions first), but clicking on a mailto: link does nothing. Note: I am using the Chromium Daily Builds for my browser. I would mailto: links in all applications to point to gmail, not just the ones that I click on in my browser.

When I manually mount things work: mount -t cifs //nas01/servers -o username=guest,password=myPassword /mnt/nas01/servers If I update /etc/fstab with the following: //nas01/servers /mnt/nas01/servers cifs username=guest,password=myPassword 0 0 Nothing happens after reboot. The thing that has me baffled is after a reboot if I run: mount -a The share is mounted. Any ideas on this? Thank you, Martin

    I have a batch script using Windows shell commands to perform several administrative actions. The script is running great on Windows 7 but when i try launching it from Python 2.6 nothing happens: import os a = os.popen("somebatchfile.bat") I assume that this is because the bat file uses several commands that require an administrative privileges but i don't want to prompt to a password using runas.exe or embedding the password within the code. Is there any way to make UAC prompt for user approval or something?
