• XCode Project Code Changes Not Updating 100% After Save-Build-Run

  When I make code changes to my iPhone game project in XCode, and then do CMD-B + Enter, I expect the project to be saved, build and run on the simulator with the latest. What is happening though, sometimes, is that it doesn't pick up a small change I make unless I clean the project and then build. I'm a long time Java person and newish to C-based languages and it's compiler. Can someone explain to me what is cached after each build that does this and how to change my project settings to avoid having to clean everytime? Or tell me the bad news that this is part of C development? Not trying to bash it - I get compiled JSPs stuck in the working cache often in Java, too. :P

• Matplotlib Contour Clabel Location

  I would like to control the location of matplotlib clabels on a contour plot, but without utilizing the manual=True flag in clabel. For example, I would like to specify an x-coordinate, and have labels created at the points that pass through this line. I see that you can get the location of the individual labels using get_position(), but I am stuck at that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! EDIT: The above image is an example plot that I would like to apply this method to. The default label positions are inconvenient -- the flat areas between Day 2 and Day 4 would be more visually appealing.

  I'm planning on developing my own web 2.0 application from scratch, using Yii Framework, JQuery, and HTML5 Boilerplate or Boots Strap. But I have huge dilemma. To begin this web 2.0, where is it best to start ? I've already completed flowcharts, diagrams and descriptions sheets for my project; However, i'm stuck programming and design wise. Should I start with the CSS of the the website, Photoshop, or functionality ( Php ) ? Where should I start ? I would really love this start up to be a success. • Problems when trying to submit iphone app

  I'm a fairly new developer. When I try to submit my iphone app with xcode, I've got error as follows; Code Sign error: The identity 'iPhone Distribution' doesn't match any valid, non-expired certificate/private key pair in the default keychain After searching, I found out that I have to create a Distribution Provisioning Profile. However, my distribution provisioning profile doesn't work, even though my Development Provisioning Profile works perfectly. Could someone please help me with this problem? I'm stuck all day... and please forgive me that my English is not great. Thank you in advance.

• Align/Wrap images around div

  What I'm trying to achieve is a page with a div centered in the middle of the screen (720x360). This is done with jQuery using $(window).height() and $(window).width() and works perfectly. The next part is getting 180x180 images to fit around that middle div. These will fill the screen + beyond. I'm stuck on how to get these to align that way and I couldn't find a live example of anyone doing the same thing. So, is this even possible? Thanks, Any help is appreciated!

I'm new to rails but I've been searching for hours and can't seem to find anything to figure out the issue.   Hello, I am trying to figure out the SQL for doing some relatively simple operations on sets of records in a table but I am stuck. Consider a table with multiple rows per item, all identified by a common key. For example: serial model color XX1 A blue XX2 A blue XX3 A green XX5 B red XX6 B blue XX1 B blue What I would for example want to do is: Assuming that all model A rows must have the same color, find the rows which dont. (for example, XX3 is green). Assuming that a given serial number can only point to a single type of model, find out the rows which that does not occur (for example XX1 points both to A and B) These are all simple logically things to do. To abstract it, I want to know how to group things by using a single key (or combination of keys) and then compare the values of those records. Should I use a join on the same table? should i use some sort of array or similar? thanks for your help

• Any efficient way to read datas from large binary file?

  Hi, I need to handle tens of Gigabytes data in one binary file. Each record in the data file is variable length. So the file is like: <len1><data1><len2><data2>..........<lenN><dataN> The data contains integer, pointer, double value and so on. I found python can not even handle this situation. There is no problem if I read the whole file in memory. It's fast. But it seems the struct package is not good at performance. It almost stuck on unpack the bytes. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  I'm playing around with an idea, and I'm stuck at this one part. I want to read an external HTML page and then extract the data held within two <dd> tags. I've been using file_get_contents with good results, but I'm at a loss as to how to accomplish that last part. The two tags I want to extract the value from are always enclosed within a particular <div>, was wondering if that might help? In my mind it reads the entire html file into a string, then dumps all the data up until this one particular <div>, and dumps all the data after the closing </div>. Is that possible? I think this needs regex syntax which I've never used yet. So any tips, links, or examples would be great! I can provide more info as necessary.

  I have a vector<unsigned int> vec of size n. Each element in vec is in the range [0, m], no duplicates, and I want to sort vec. Is it possible to do better than O(n log n) time if you're allowed to use O(m) space? In the average case m is much larger than n, in the worst case m == n. Ideally I want something O(n). I get the feeling that there's a bucket sort-ish way to do this: unsigned int aux[m]; aux[vec[i]] = i; Somehow extract the permutation and permute vec. I'm stuck on how to do 3. In my application m is on the order of 16k. However this sort is in the inner loops and accounts for a significant portion of my runtime.

  I've worked with J2EE recently and like the idea of struts.xml where I can handle the redirection to pages based on return string from action classes. In PHP, in my new under-development site, I am trying to follow the MVC standards without an MVC framework used from the internet. So I create the controllers, models and views (empty now). The only thing I am really stuck at is when I submit the form in view (insert_product.php) then I will need to create another php page to handle the post data and pass them to controllers. Anyway of avoiding creating those pages and maybe having something like struts.xml? Even if I can post data directly to controller class, that would be good. Thanks,

• CSS: How to set remaining width as %, but having knowledge of only pixels

  Hi all, I've seen this question asked in a couple other contexts on SO, but I thought it would be worth asking again for my particular case. I'm trying to create some re-usable CSS classes for more consistency and less clutter on my site, and I'm stuck on trying to standardize one thing I use frequently. I have a container div that I don't want to set the height for (because it will vary depending on where on the site it is), and inside it is a header div, and then an unordered list of items, all with CSS applied to them. It looks a lot like this: I want the unordered list to take up the remaining room in the container div, knowing that the header div is 18px tall. I just don't know how to specify the list's height as "the result of 100% minus 18px". Does anyone have any advice in this situation? Thanks very much.

  My vendor offers a widget creation service where I can login to their page, set initial values of a search form, after the save button is clicked, I can copy & paste the script code on my website to display a product search result widget. I am thinking to change this static widget to a dynamic one. Since my programming knowledge is limited, can experts tell me if it's possible to login https remotely (using cURL) and set search form values equal to values on my page (every time my page content changes, it will change the form value), then save the form. So the widget script I pasted on my page will always be refreshed to new search result. So the issue will involve cross domain, form submission & server/browser communication. I know a little jQuery, PHP, Ajax, cURL but so far I stuck with just having an idea but not really sure how to implement it.

I get the most recent ItemCount for each Person like this: SELECT * FROM table a INNER JOIN ( SELECT MAX(index) as i FROM table GROUP BY PersonID) b ON a.index = b.i; What I want to do is get get the most recent record for each PersonID that is at least 24 hours older than the most recent record for each Person ID. Then I want to take the difference in ItemCount between these two to get a change in itemcount for each person over the last 24 hours: personID ChangeInItemCountOverAtLeast24Hours 1 3 2 -11 3 6 Im sort of stuck with what to do next. How can I join another itemcount based on latest adjusted timestamp of individual rows?
