  I am new comer to Android development. Installed fresh Eclipse (Ganymede), Android android-sdk-linux_86. Tried HelloWorld program. Compiles OK. An AVD "my1" created for API level 7. The Emulator does not start, giving an error: [2010-03-11 16:49:49 - Emulator] NAND: could not write file /hd2/android-sdk-linux_86/add-ons/google_apis-7_r01/images//system.img, File exists Perplexed.   Just wondering if anybody can run/compile application for Sun Java Realtime system on a VM such as VMWare or on the Cloud such as on Amazon EC2 ? I know it is not ideal running Realtime java on a virtualized infrastructure, but it makes things easier. (Otherwise I just have to install SLES SP2 on physical hardware.)

• iPhone PlayAndRecord silences all system audio??

  Hi, In my iPhone app I am trying to record audio and play iPod music at the same time, so I set the audio session category to kAudioSessionCategory_PlayAndRecord. But when I set this, all system audio (including vibrate) doesn't work anymore, although the iPod audio still does work. Does anyone know if this is a bug in the SDK or something, or how to get around it? Please help! Thanks in advance!

Does this mean only one SendAsync is allowed per host, or per thread? For example, if I simultaneously have 2 web users from 2 different remote hosts, can each use SendAsync at the same time?

However it seems that because only system types can be const that I cannot use any class/struct which I have created, as an optional param.   I have a source XML that uses a dot (".") as a decimal separator and I am parsing this on a system that uses a comma (",") as a decimal separator. As a result, value of 0.7 gets parsed with Double.TryParse or Double.Parse as 7000000. What are my options to parse correctly? One of them is to replace dots in source with commas with String.Replace('.', ',') but I don't think I like this very much.
