  • CF Client Variables: is the CDATA - CGLOBAL relationship always 1:1?

    Hi We've noticed something odd with our Coldfusion 8 client variables DB. We have many more (about 3 times as many) CGlobal entries as we have CData entries. I would have assumed that the relationship would be 1:1 on the cfid column. Has any one else noticed this before? I have ruled out old data, my sample is less than 3 hours old. We're using SQL Server 2000 to host the tables. Thanks in advance, Ciaran

  • Why is Matlab Stateflow 7.7 not throwing errors on undefined variables?

    Previously in Matlab Stateflow 7.1 all variables and functions had to be included before they can be referred to in the state diagram or else it would throw an error when you tried to parse the diagram. But now in 7.7 it doesn't catch those kinds of errors. Its still compiling the diagram because it catches other syntactic errors. Am I missing an option somewhere? Can this be turned on?

  • How do I set bash environment variables from a script?

    I have some proxy settings that I only occasionally want to turn on, so I don't want to put them in my ~/.bash_profile. I tried putting them directly in ~/bin/set_proxy_env.sh, adding ~/bin to my PATH, and chmod +xing the script but though the script runs, the variables don't stick in my shell. Does anyone know how to get them to stick around for the rest of the shell session?

  • How do you label output variables in an IDL FOR loop for further processing outside the loop in the same program?

    I have a FOR loop like this: FOR k = 1,216 DO atom = G[,0::(215+k)] END What I would like to be able to do is to store in memory the array for each atom, say, atom_k and then call these different variables to perform further operations outside the FOR loop. Conceptually, I want to label the "atom" variable with the "k" counter somewhat like this: FOR k = 1,216 DO atom(k) = G[,0::(215+k)] END Of course, this doesn't work because "k" is no longer a label in this case. Does anyone know?

  • Static variables within functions in C++ - allocated even if function doesn't run?

    I've been reading up on C++ on the Internet, and here's one thing that I haven't been quite able to find an answer to. I know that static variables used within functions are akin to globals, and that subsequent invocations of that function will have the static variable retain its value between calls. However, if the function is never claled, does the static variable get allocated? Thanks

  • How to pass multiple PHP variables to a jQuery function?

    I'm working on a Wordpress plugin. I need to pass plugin directories (that can change depending on an individual's installation) to a jquery function. What is the best way of doing this? The version of the plugin that I can to work on had included all the javascript in the PHP file so the functions were parsed along with the rest of the content before being rendered in a browser. I'm looking at AJAX but I think it might be more complicated than I need. I can get away with just two variables in this case (directories, nothing set by the user). As I've read its good practice, I'm trying to keep the js and php separate. When the plugin initializes, it call the js file: //Wordpress calls the .js when the plugin loads wp_enqueue_script( 'wp-backitup-funtions', plugin_dir_url( __FILE__ ) .   • Juju Zookeeper & Provisioning Agent Not Deployed

    I am using juju with the openstack provider, i expected that when i bootstrap that zookeeper and provisioning agent would get deployed on the bootstrap vm in openstack. This dose not seem to be the case. the bootstrap vm gets deployed but it seems that nothing gets deployed to the VM. See logs below, I may be missing something, also how is it possible to log on the bootstrap vm. Could I manual deploy, if so what do I need to do.   • How can I use pywin32 with a virtualenv without having to include the host environment's site-packag

    I'm working with PyInstaller under Python 2.6, which is only partially supported due to the mess MS have created with their manifest nonense which now affects Python since it is now MSVC8 compiled. The problem is that the manifest embedding support relies on the pywin32 extensions in order to build which is a pain because without including the host's site-packages folder when I create the virtualenv (kinda defeats the point in a build environment) I cannot find a way to install the required extensions so they are accessible to PyInstaller. Has anyone found a solution to this issue?

    I need to determine the clients .NET framework version in my web application. I'm running in partial trust so I can not read the filesystem or registry (Is there an easy way to check .net framework verison using C#?). System.Environment.Version returns the runtime version, so I can not use that. I cannot use javascript The only way I can think of at the moment is to try to load a .NET 3.5 dll and catch an exception, but this does not sound very nice. Any suggestions?

    Are there any downsides to UPX-ing my 32-bit Python 2.6.4 development environment EXE/PYD/DLL files? The reason I'm asking is that I frequently use a custom PY2EXE script that UPX's copies of these files on every build. Yes, I could get fancy and try to cache UPXed files, but I think a simpler, safer, and higher performance solution would be for me to just UPX my Python 2.6.4 directory once and be done with it. Thoughts? Malcolm
