• (Java) JPopupMenu won't close if I click outside of it

  Hi all, I have created a Java Swing app that has no visible main window but which is controlled through its tray icon by right-clicking. I am using a JPopupMenu for this, but when I click outside of the popup menu (e.g. on another application's window or the desktop) the JPopupMenu does not disappear which is not the expected behaviour. Originally I was using a popupMenu which did work as expected but this did not allow me to have icons in the menu. How can I get it to close when I click elsewhere, as expected? Thanks!

  Visual Studio 2010 has no longer uses .vsprops files and instead uses .props files. To add a .vsprops file to a Visual Studio 2008 project, one could right-click the project icon in the Solution Explorer panel, choose Properties, go to the Configuration Properties | General section, and modify the Inherited Project Property Sheets property to contain a list of .vsprops paths. One could also modify the Visual Studio 2008 project file directly. Is there a way in the Visual Studio 2010 GUI to add .props files to a project? The Inherited Project Property Sheets property seems to have been removed. If manual editing of the project file is the only way to include .props files, where can one find documentation on doing it?

• Awstats showing 404s for pages and objects I definitely don't have...

  I have a HostGator site using Awstats and I've recently noticed the following 3 bizarre 404s: [address] [times] /images/wikimedia-button.png 1 /apple-touch-icon.png 1 /imgs/custom-space.gif 1 the first and third also carry referrers from within my site, but are 100% definitely absolutely not linked by any of my pages. I'm not too worried about it, seeing as each one has only popped up once. But I am concerned about why Awstats thinks one of my pages is referring what is apparently a wikipedia image, and why Steve Jobs is trying to haxx0r me (/joke) This is my first site to receive moderate daily usage, so I'm curious if these sorts of unique weird-o 404s just come with the territory, or if I should be double-checking something... • How to include text files with Executable Jar

  Hi guys rookie Java question. I have a Java project and I want to include a text file with the executable jar. Right now the text file is in the default package. InputFlatFile currentFile = new InputFlatFile("src/theFile.txt"); I grab the file with that line as you can see using src. However this doesn't work with the executable jar. Can someone please let me know how to keep this file with the executable jar so someone using the program can just click a single icon and run the program. Thanks!

• Calling CONTENT_SCRIPT JS From BROWSER_ACTION Popup HTML

  I'm working on a Google Chrome Extension and would like to get an HTML from within my popup HTML to call functions within my loaded javascript file. How can I get these two files to communicate with eachother? Or can they at all?

• clicking the debug button in Eclipse will not start debug mode

  i am running Eclipse 3.5.0 on a MacBook Pro using the Android SDK. i noticed that on this particular project i am working on i cant seem to actually enter debug mode. i click the little green bug icon in the tool bar and the app starts and runs. but if i switch over to the Debug Perspective i see no indication that it is running in debug mode. furthermore i can not hit any brake points that i have set. this makes debugging code a bit hard. Other projects that i am working on don't have this issue. any ideas on what i need to change in the project to get this to work?

• TFS: How to dectet changed files when loading a solution?

  I am new to TFS integration with Visual Studio 2010, and I have a problem I would like to solve. Practically, when I open a solution, how can I detect, looking only at the Solution Explorer which file has been changed since my last login? I am able to discover the changed files if I look at the Latest column of Source Control Explorer but it is not so intuitive. I attach you an image for better understanding. I would like to have a different icon, not the lock, for frmAbout.vb (in this case), associated to the item in Solution Explorer. Do you have any idea how can I achieve this behavior? Or some alternatives?

• iPhone Provisioning Profile problems...

  I have already successfully submitted two apps to the app store, so I should be able to do it by now, right? With my most recent app, however, I'm having a bear of a time with getting the Application Identifier or Bundle Identifier set up. In my distribution profile, I have included the identifier "com.jmock.irowbeta", and then copied it exactly into the the app's Info.plist file under "Bundle Identifier". In the past, this has done the trick, but now I'm getting the error Provisioning profile 'irow beta' specificies the identifier 'com.jmock.irowbeta' which doesn't match the current setting 'com.yourcompany.irow-beta'. So it seems that its somehow still using the default of com.yourcompany.APPLICATION_NAME, but it shouldn't after I have changed it in the Info.plist, right? I think this means that xcode isn't recognizing that PLIST for some reason, because when I change the name of the icon file, for example, or other such attributes, nothing changes. If this is the problem, how do I make xcode recognize the PLIST? Otherwise, what the heck is going on? Thanks, James

• Layout components Horizontally in Android

  Greetings all, I am trying to create a layout in Android for a notification. My goal is to have the following displayed: 1: Icon for the app 2: Vertically stacked LinearLayout with Session title and Room to be held in 3: The start time of the session The problem I am facing is that #2 has a variable width depending on the size of the title. Hardcoding a width would look terrible if the user turns the handset sideways and goes into Landscape mode. Therefore here is my question: How can I layout three components horizontally in Android such that #1 and #3 are left and right aligned respectively, and #2 simply takes the space remaining?   Hi .. i have a problem using the "Catch Clipboard Events code" found on this link : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/621577/clipboard-event-c/2487582#2487582 the code works great only if the form stays in the foreground, not minimized to tray BUT: if you add a notifyicon and minimize the form to tray and turn the showintaskbar to false (so that you only have an icon in the tray), the program wont catch any clipboard changes anymore ... even if you maximize the form back, it wont work again ...you have to restart the program .. any idea on how to solve this issue !? how can i catch clipboard changes, even if the form is minimized into the tray !? any help is really appreciated ... • Flex AdvancedDataGrid with Grouping, how do I get objects to appear under first GroupingField if the

  I am using an AdvancedDataGrid with two GroupingFields. The dataProvider has a list of objects with these two field values, but occasionally the second field value can be null. When it loads, the AdvancedDataGrid UI has a root folder (first GroupingField) and some additional subfolders (second GroupingField). This is all good. However, the objects with a null value for the second GroupingField, just get placed in a subfolder with no label. I want the objects with a null second GroupingField value to appear as leaf nodes beneath the root folder (first GroupingField) minus the blank subfolder. A good way to picture this would be a file explorer. Is there a good way to do this? Make the folder icon disappear maybe after expanding this node through actionscript? • Using Add-on SDK to add toolbar buttons? Integrating XUL and Add-on SDK for Firefox Add-ons?

  I have already coded most of a Firefox add-on using the Add-on SDK API. I am now discovering that Add-on SDK might not be powerful enough for my purposes. I need two things: A drop down button in the toolbar next to the location bar. To modify the add-ons manager in firefox It is truly disappointing, but I don't believe either of these is possible with the Add-on SDK. First of all, I understand there is a widget module in the Add-on SDK API. But this only allows me to add a simple icon or label to the awkward add-on bar. What if I need to add a nicer button like the one next to the location bar for Firebug or Greasemonkey? As for modifying the add-ons manager in firefox, I have tried Nickolay Ponomarev's XUL with the Add-on SDK without any success whatsoever. If anyone knows how to get this working and can point me in the right direction that would be extremely helpful (cfx init --template xul doesn't do anything the regular SDK does when I try it)

• Android SDK and AVD manager will not run from Eclipse after upgrade to SDK 5 and ADT 0.9.6

  Using Windows 7, 64 bit system. Prior to upgrade I was able to run "Android SDK and AVD manager" from Eclipse via a tool bar icon and menu option, both of which still exist. However now nothing happens when I try to run the manager. As a result I can't start an emulator from within Eclipse. When I use Eclipse to run an Android app, the first emulator I installed is automatically started. Using Windows Explorer, I can still run the manager from the SDK directory in which the update was applied (the update didn't change the location of the SDK). If I run the manager and start multiple emulators and then Run an app from Eclipse, it sees the emulators and allows me to choose one as before. This is a satisfactory work-around, but it would be nice if the manager were fully integrated into Eclipse as it was before.

  I wrote a C# application that is a simple countdown timer. I use it myself to keep track of cooking time (not to forget about boiling pasta) and other purposes. It works in the tray. When hovering the icon it shows remaining time as a tooltip. When clicked it shows remaining time in a balloon tip. I would like displayed time to be "ticking down", i.e. to update every second. How do I force update/redraw of the balloon and tool tip?

  Hi guys, I've just completed my first app and having tested I'm ready for submission. However, despite numerous web searches and reading, I'm struggling to finalise the method required to enable me to have a different name on the app store to the name that appears under the app on the device home screen. In the plist.info file there is reference to bundle display name, executable name, bundle name, bundle identifier, product name etc. So, for example, say I would like the app store name to display as: HELLO WORLD and I would like the name below the icon on the device home screen to display as: HELLO How should I enter the data in the plist.info file to achieve the above?   Hi, Is there any way to get taskbar's battery and phonesignal indicators icons and then draw into a picturebox or something? Why do I need this? I need all screen space available, so all forms are maximized and they cover up the windowsmobile taskbar. But, I have to display information about battery e phone signal strength in just a couple of forms. I know how to get their values (like systeminformation.phonesignalstrength), but what I want is the "current icon", so I don't need to worry about their values. It's just a visual information for the user. In last case, if this is not possible, how to get those icons from windowsmobile shell, so I'll draw them by my self, treating each differente status/values that they assume. • iPhone Simulator locks up immediately upon Build / Run

  I'm having a problem getting my MacBook set up to build iPhone *apps* in xCode. The iPhone Simulator locks up and shows the "spinning circle" busy icon. I've tried everything I can think of, including resetting the simulator tried all of the different hardware options tried the two debug build choices in xCode. uninstalling the SDK and completely reinstalling I downloaded the SDK today - "xcode_3.2.2_and_iphone_sdk_3.2_final" I'm just upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard (10.6.3). I've run all the software updates. xCode version says 3.2.2 (1650) If it matters, my MacBook is 3-4 years old, 13 inch, dual 2.16 ghz intel cores, 2 gig RAM. I've never had a single problem with it. I would be so grateful if anyone can help me thanks so much,

• Core Plot on iPad Runs with Debugger, not Standalone

  Hey guys, Thanks to Ole Begemann, I spent yesterday digging around in Core Plot to explore adding graphing to an iPad application that I've been working on. I was fairly satisfied with it, and wanted to show it off to a friend of mine - so I stopped the debugger, took the device off the dock, handed it over to my friend and pushed the icon. Lo, it started and then immediately crashed. I figured that it was using the release profile, and on a whim went ahead and compiled and ran (through the debugger) under the release profile instead of the debug. As expected, it crashed right away with EXC_BAD_ACCESS. I have added the relative path to the core plot to Release configuration and -all_load and -ObjC to the "other" linker flags - just like in the debugger profile and googled all around. IT seems that most people with this issue have forgotten to add the linker flags. Does anyone have any suggestions for next steps in figuring out this issue?
