  • Just curious, in NetBeans IDE 6.1 how can i get icons for my custom GUI components in the GUI editor

    This is by no means really important, i was just wondering if the community knows how to put icons for my custom GUI components that show up in the NetBeans GUI designer. What i did was make several Swing components and then i use the menu options to add them to the GUI pallete, but they show up with "?" icons. It would be nice if they showed up with icons similar to swing components such as JButtons, especially for components which are subclassed for Swing components. Thanks!

  • How can I hide tracing code in Visual Studio IDE C# ?

    As I'm starting to put more tracing in my code, i'm realizing it adds a lot of clutter. I know Visual Studio allows you to hide and reveal code, however, i'd like to be able group code into "tracing" code and then hide it and reveal at will as i'm reading the code. I suppose it could do this either per file or per class or per function. Is there any way to do this? What do you guys do? Adding some clarification The hide current feature kind of allows you to do this except that when the code is hidden, you can't tell if its tracing or not. You also can't say "hide all tracing code" and "reveal all tracing code" which is useful when reading a function depending on what you are trying to do.

  • What challenges are there in making an iPhone IDE for Windows/Linux?

    First of all, is this possible? If so: What challenges would I encounter in making an XCode imitation for iPhone/iPod development for Windows or Linux? I was thinking about using gcc as the actual compiler for the objecitve-c. Will that work? It doesn't need to compile to iPhone OS until it is to be tested on the device or submitted to the app store. Perhaps it will be easier to compile to the local OS format (Windows or Linux) until "prime-time".

  • Zend_Test: No default module defined for this application

    UPDATE 23 Dec I had the problem where Zend Framework complains about "No default module defined for this application". I didn't use Modules and the main app works fine. I finally solved the problem with the help from weierophinney.net Your bootstrap needs to minimally set the controller directory -- do a call to $this->frontController->addControllerDirectory(...) in your appBootstrap() method. I didn't in my example, as my Initialization plugin does that sort of thing for me. The problem is solved by adding the below to setUp() $this->getFrontController()->setControllerDirectory(APPLICATION_PATH . '/controllers'); But now, I have afew other questions: 1. Why does that value not get initialized by application.ini? In application.ini, I have [production] resources.frontController.controllerDirectory = APPLICATION_PATH "/controllers" [testing : production] // didn't change anything regarding modules nor controllers 2. I tried setting the controllerDirectory in bootstrap.php of my unit test, but it does not work $front = Zend_Controller_Front::getInstance(); $front->setControllerDirectory(APPLICATION_PATH . '/controllers'); The only way that works is using setUp(). Why is that? END UPDATE 23 Dec I am getting the above error when unit testing my controller plugins. Now I'm told that I have to download Java Platform Micro Edition Software Development Kit 3.0 So, should I download this? And once I download and install this in Linux, what do I have to install for Netbeans so I can create a Mobile Application? I'm fairly new to this environment so please any advice is welcome! :)

  • Why does my custom component raise AVs in the IDE?

    I'm trying to write a simple component that will allow you to embed one or more SDL rendering surfaces on a Delphi window, using the SDL 1.3 APIs. It will compile and install just fine, but when I try to use the component in the form designer, it raises AVs whenever I try to access its properties in the object inspector, save the form, or delete the component, and placing one on a form then trying to run gives a linker error: it apparently can't read the DFM properly for whatever reason. The DLL can be found at http://www.libsdl.org/tmp/SDL-1.3-dll.zip and the source code to my component can be downloaded here. SDL.pas is a JEDI-SDL header file; the rest is my own code. I don't see any reason for this to raise AVs in the form designer. If I dynamically create the control at runtime I don't have any stability issues. Can anyone take a look at this and maybe provide some feedback that might help me clear it up?

  • WordPress > Activating plugin makes site go blank in one theme, not in another. Generated source ide

    Strangest thing. When I activate this specific plugin, the public side of the site goes blank (nothing but a white screen with blank view source). However, when I test the site with the wordpress default theme, the plugin does not conflict and the site works fine. The interesting thing is that I've compared the generated source (using FF's webmaster tools) with and without plugin activated and in each case they are identical. This led me to believe that perhaps the plugin was altering htaccess, however, that file is the same whether or not the plugin is active or not. How can I find out what is causing the problem with this plugin? The plugin is called "Crawl Rate Tracker".

So it looks like I need to start mocking up routes for my controller. Is there an easier way in to test a controller? I've looked at the TestControllerBuilder from MvcContrib which helps with some of the issues but doesn't seem to do everything. Is there anything else available that will do the job and will let me concentrate on writing the tests rather than writing mocks? Thanks

  • Eclipse - Galileo IDE force save of changed files before build?

    Hi, When I used previous versions of Eclipse (e.g. Ganymede/Europa) if I had edited a file and then attempted a build Eclipse would prompt me to save first. Since I updated to Galileo (Build id: 20090920-1017 & just checked for updates) when I build I'm not prompted to save first. Perhaps the dialog had a checkbox for "don't tell me again" which I mistakenly checked on??? I figure it is just a preference setting some where but I can't seem to find it, search in Preferences for 'save' and for 'build' but did not find it. I tried "Save automatically before build" but that actually did not work for me, and isn't really what I was looking for anyways. Any ideas? thanks. Edit: I'm actually using an Ant script to 'build' (right click on script and Run As...Ant Build). So perhaps my original wording was a bit off base since I did not state how I was building.

    First question Please, could you explain me how simpliest ACL could be implemented in MVC. All controller's methods should be private We have to add ACL code into each controller's __call method. The next approach is to put Acl code into parent Controller, but we still need to keep all child controller's methods private. What is the solution? And what is the best practice? Where should I call Acl functions to decide allow or disallow method to be executed. Second question Second question is about getting role using Acl. Let's imagine that we have guests, users and user's friends. User have restricted access to viewing his profile that only friends can view it. All guests can't view this user's profile. So, here is the logic.. we have to ensure that method being called is profile we have to detect owner of this profile we have to detect is viewer is owner of this profile or no we have to read restriction rules about this profile we have to decide execute or not execute profile method The main question is about detecting owner of profile. We can detect who is owner of profile only executing model's method $model-getOwner(), but Acl do not have access to model. How can we implement this? I hope that my thoughts are clear.   • Attach labels to items in TFS from the PowerBuilder IDE?

    We do this using the 'Advanced' button on the checkin dialog now (with Merant, nee PVCS) but the 'Advanced' button is disabled when I set TFS as my SCC provider. Is there a switch we can flip on either side to enable this? Or do we need to write some custom extension? Or can I get the TFS changeset number to associate with the change in PB? Or am I coming at doing selective builds entirely the wrong way?

    I have one MySQL DB table like the following, the resources table: id | name | type 1 | guest | user 2 | member | user 3 | moderator | user 4 | owner | user 5 | admin | user 6 | index | controller Onto the next table, the rules table: id | user_id | rule | resource_id | extras 1 | 2 | 3 | 1 | null 2 | 3 | 3 | 2 | null 3 | 4 | 3 | 3 | null 4 | 5 | 3 | 4 | null 5 | 6 | 1 | 1 | index,login,register 6 | 6 | 2 | 2 | login,register 7 | 6 | 1 | 2 | logout OK, sorry for the length, but I am trying to give a full picture of what I am trying to do. So the way it works, a role (aka user) can be granted (rule: 1) access to a controller, a role can inherit (rule: 3) access from another role or a role and be denied (rule: 2) access to a controller. (A user is a resource and a controller is a resource) Access to actions are granted / denied using the extras column. This all works, its not a problem with setting up the ACL within zend. What I am now trying to do is show the relationships; to do that I need to find the lowest level a role is granted access to a controller stopping if it has explicitly been removed. I plan on listing the roles. When I click a role, I want it to show all the controllers that role has access to. Then clicking on a controller shows the actions the role is allowed to do. So in the example above, a guest is allowed to view the index action of the index controller along with the login action. A member inherits the same access, but is then denied access to the login action and register action. A moderator inherits the rules of a member. So if I were to select the role moderator. I want to see the controller index listed. If I click on the controller, it should show the allowed actions as being action: index. (which was originally granted to the guest, but hasn't since been dissallowed) Is there any examples to doing this. I am obviously working with the Zend MVC (PHP) and MySQL. Even just a persudo code example would be a helpful starting point - this is one of the last parts of the jigsaw I am putting together. P.S. Obviously I have the ACL object - is it going to be easier to interigate that or is it better to do it my self via PHP/MySQL? The aim will be, show what a role can access which will then allow me to add or edit a role, controller and action in a GUI style (that is somewhat the easy bit) - currently I am updating the DB manually as I have been building the site.

  • TFS: How do I view .cs files in the VS IDE when viewing details of a shelveset?

    For our code review process we open the details of a shelveset to see all files that have been worked on. Right clicking and choosing "Compare" works great for existing ( modified ) files. But, when a file has been added I just want to view the file. Double clicking ( or right click - view ) opens .cs ( and .sql )files in notepad. When I try to open a .PRC file ( extension for our stored procedures ) I get a prompt that allows me to choose what program to use for viewing. Does anyone know how to get this prompt to show up for .cs files ( and all other files, for that matter ) Thanks!   • ASP.NET in VS IDE gives "Expression cannot be evaluated at this time."

    I read all of similar questions in SO but none seem to be an answer. Situation is simple. I have a ASP.NET webpage, In a VB code behind file I have the following line: iRendProvider = ddlProvider.SelectedItem.Value where iRendProvider is integer and ddlProvider is a dropdownlist. I put a breakpoint at the above line and code stops there. Now in the immdediate window in I type: ? ddlProvider.SelectedItem.Value I get "Expression cannot be evaluated at this time." If I step over iRendProvider = ddlProvider.SelectedItem.Value To the next line and I type ? iRendProvider , I see the correct value in the immediate window. Question is why this error and how to see contents of ddlProvider.

  • Custom Output => List of Errors interpretation in VS2008 IDE.

    Hello, I have a "database solution" project in VS2008 - it generates SQL for more than one DB vendor from some sort of templates. In order to save time, I also have a tool in VS2008 configured (a Python script), which can compile an individual stored procedure. Now, with the Python script I have the freedom of processing the output and have it take on whatever form I want. I am toying with an idea of having these errors and warnings somehow recognized and populating the click-able Error / Warning list. This is what a typical Oracle error looks like: LINE/COL ERROR -------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- 324/5 PL/SQL: Statement ignored 324/82 PLS-00363: expression 'VSOURCE_SYSTEM_ID' cannot be used as an assignment target Warning: Procedure created with compilation errors. PROCEDURE: ADD_PROPOSED error on creation Errors for PROCEDURE ADD_PROPOSED: LINE/COL ERROR This might be a long shot, but it is worthwhile for me. I do this stuff a lot. Thank you!

  • Visual Studio IDE - how do you quickly find the implementation(s) of an interface's method?

    Is there a quick way to find all of the implementations of, not references to, an interface's method/property/etc? Here's some sample code: public class SomeClass : IBaseClass { public Int32 GetInt() { return 1; } } public interface IBaseClass { public Int32 GetInt(); } public class SomeOtherClass { ISomeClass _someClass; private TestMethod() { _someClass = new SomeClass(); _someClass.GetInt(); } } I want to quickly get to SomeClass.GetInt() while reviewing SomeOtherClass.TestMethod(). If I right click on _someClass.GetInt() and click 'Go To Definition', it takes me to the interface. If I click 'Find All References', I could potentially see a list of all uses ... not just the classes that implement the GetInt() method. Is there a faster way to find this? Any tips from other developers? We are using D.I. for most of our dependencies, which means that tracing through deeply nested code takes forever.

I wanna get some data from oracle server like: 1-get all the function,package,procedure and etc for showing them or drop them & etc... 2-compile my *.sql files,get the result if they have problem & etc... becuz I was beginner in oracle first of all I for solve the second problem I try to connect to sqlPlus by RUN sqlplus and trace the output(I mean,I change the output stream of shell and trace what happend and handle the assigned message to customer. NOW THIS PART SUCCEED. just a little bit I have problem with get all result because the output is asynchronous.any way... [in this case I log in to oracle Server by send argument to the sqlplus by make a process in c#] after that I try to get all function,package or procedure name,but I have problem in speed!so I try to use oracle.DataAccess.dll to connect the database. now I m so confusing about: which way is correct way to build a program that work like Oracle Developer!
