  • loading xml without invalid character errors

    at the moment im loading xml and i am getting error: System.Xml.XmlException: ' ', hexadecimal value 0x17, is an invalid character. Line 2762, position 16. it is easy to fix. just open xml and remove the character. but I need to know is it possible to load xml even with invalid characters and use it for parsing. and is there any downside?

    Hello, Im tring to create a manifest for my own.dll, i took the manifest file from C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\Manifests for example. In that, below tag was one of the line.<file name="msvcr90.dll" hashalg="SHA1" hash="e0dcdcbfcb452747da530fae6b000d47c8674671"> In above tag, hash value was assigned with 40 character. Here comes my doubt, 1) hash value was auto generated, if not, whats it points to?

Is my logic sound here? Or is there a limit to the input that a MD5 function can take? Thanks...

  • Junit run not picking file src/test/resources. For file required by some dependency jar

    Hi, I m facing a issue where test/resource is not picked,but instead jar's main/resource is picked Scenario is like : Myproject src/test/resources--- have config.xml w which should be needed by abc.jar which is a dependecy in Myproject. When running test case for Myproject its loading config.xml of abc.jar instead of Myproject test/resources. - I need to know order in which maven pick resources. - Or wat im trying is not possible.     Im toying around with the idea to use python as an embedded scripting language for a project im working on and have got most things working. However i cant seem to be able to convert a python extended object back into a native c++ pointer. I could leave it as an object but rather have it as a pointer so some non python aware code can use it. Any ideas?
