• Looking for replacement for Snippet Compiler

  I have been using Snippet Compiler for a few years, and it's great. Unfortunately, it isn't getting maintained, and is falling behind. Doesn't support .NET 4, which we recently switched to, and even some C# 3 features like extension methods get flagged as errors (though they do compile). Alternatives?

• Dojo extending dojo.dnd.Source, move not happening. Ideas?

  Hey all, Ok... I have a simple dojo page with the bare essentials. Three UL's with some LI's in them. The idea si to allow drag-n-drop among them but if any UL goes empty due to the last item being dragged out, I will put up a message to the user to gie them some instructions. In order to do that, I wanted to extend the dojo.dnd.Source dijit and add some intelligence. It seemed easy enough. To keep things simple (I am loading Dojo from a CDN) I am simply declating my extension as opposed to doing full on module load. The problem is this - list1 will happily accept items from lists 2 & 3 who will move or copy as apprriate. However lists 2 & 3 refuce to accept items from list1. It is as if the DND operation is being cancelled, but the debugger does show the dojo.dnd.Source.prototype.onDndDrop.call happening, and the paramaters do look ok to me. Now, the documentation here is really weak, so the example I took some of this from may be way out of date (I am using 1.4). Can anyone fill me in on what might be the issue with my extension dijit? • Example usage of AX in PHP OpenID

  I'm using JanRain's PHP OpenID library. It comes with example script which is using SReg extension. But I want it to work with Google (and it works for auth actually), but Google uses AX (attribute exchange) instead of SReg for additional data. For some reason, JanRain's library is missing AX support in example script, and code comments in AX script are out of my understanding, though comments in SReg script are clear as 1-2-3. Does anyone know how to implement AX without too much pain?

• Getting wget to dowload only files with specific name patterns

  I want to use wget to DL some files. I want to DL only files whose name that fit a certain pattern, e.g. ???.txt and not any other *.txt files. Can this be done with wget? I could only find a way to --accept/--reject files based on the extension. Thanks!

• What's the best way to debug URLRewrite rules?

  Trying to do a few URLRewrite rules - some of them worked, some didn't. For those that didn't work, how do you debug it? Especially if the rule was never invoked, how do I tell where I'm making a mistake? Tried Live HTTP Header extension with firefox as well as checking the server access logs, to no avail. My site is hosted with cpanel, using apache, and the rewrite rules are defined in .htaccess (I have some rules that worked, so it's not a setup issue I'm pretty sure) Thanks

  Hello, I know of the "wget" function in shell, but I'm running perl from the command line on a windows machine and I was looking for a method of sequentially downloading the web source code from a site. For example: for www.abcd.com has the extension of it's subsites as 1,2,3 etc such that www.abcd.com/1 or www.abcd.com/2 is the syntax. I would like the source to be labeled as 1.source, 2.source etc for a defined set of pages 1-100 say. Thanks for the help, Jake

  I want to capture a webpage as an image. I am able to do this using a firefox extension using context.drawWindow method. Now I want to strech myself and see if I can do this using a bookmarklet :) I remember reading somewhere that context.drawWindow() works only from the firefox toolbars. • WinForms Form won't close on pressing X or Close() in C#

  I'm having a bit weird problem with WinForm which seems to refuse to close for some weird reason. Can't use X, nor ALT+F4. I can go around GUI and choose other values for ComboBox without problem. If so, is this because it really is iterating over each element, or does it store the elements in reverse internally and slip the array into a new List<T>?
