    Let's have an example: A grails project, myproj, is deployed in Tomcat 6. It can be accessed anywhere thru this link: http://www.mycompany.com/myproj. Let's say we purchase another domain, http://newcompany.com, and we would like to point it to http://www.mycompany.com/myproj/url. If I go to http://newcompany.com/12345, it should be the same as doing http://www.mycompany.com/myproj/url/12345. Can anyone tell me if this is possible?     The Cassandra API supports batch mutations: batch_mutate(keyspace, mutation_map, consistency_level): Executes the specified mutations on the keyspace. mutation_map is a map; the outer map maps the key to the inner map, which maps the column family to the Mutation; can be read as: map. To be more specific, the outer map key is a row key, the inner map key is the column family name. A Mutation specifies either columns to insert or columns to delete. See Mutation and Deletion above for more details. Are all mutations that are executed in a batch executed atomically? So if one of the mutations fails, do the others fail too?

  • Passing GLatLng from array to Google

    Hello All, To preface this, I am a complete programming amateur so this may be quite easily solved. As is though, it is frustrating me to no end. Basically, I have a database of Venue Names with GLat and GLng (other stuff too) that I am pulling down to my website based on a geolocated search. The javascript that I have pulls in a formatted subset of the database, dumps the glat and glng into an array and is supposed to take those points and plot out several markers each with an info window containing the details behind each marker. For some reason, the marker geodata is not being populated and/or is not being passed. The array is declared using [] and will not work when normally declared using (). It only brings up a map with the first value in the array and goes blank if i try to manually input later entries. There is a large block of commented out code relating to directions generation. That code worked for some reason. If anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong in rewriting it to map the markers and not give directions, please tell me.   • Codebase for making a Flash-based interactive map with SVG vector data?

    I'm looking for a way to take SVG path info (basically a string of coordinates) and dynamically draw it with Actionscript. Icing on the cake would be if those shapes could detect mouse events to trigger JS and dynamically change their appearance (fill, stroke, etc...). I'm currently trying something similar to this (http://raphaeljs.com/australia.html) using SVG but it's just too slow in IE. I've also tried Google's SVG Web (http://code.google.com/p/svgweb/) which basically does exactly what I'm looking for (it converts SVG to Flash in IE) but again, it's sloooooow - which is why I'm considering doing the whole shebang in Flash. Anyone know of some links to point me in the right direction?

For example, if I start writing a line of code, I might go > For Each application In And then think "crap, what's the application collection called?" So I'll hit "page up" to find it, and get (in this case) a "Compile Error". Can I turn this off?

    I have a table whose records represent certain objects. For the sake of simplicity I am going to assume that the table only has one row, and that is the unique ObjectId. Now I need a way to store combinations of objects from that table. The combinations have to be unique, but can be of arbitrary length. For example, if I have the ObjectIds 1,2,3,4 I want to store the following combinations: {1,2}, {1,3,4}, {2,4}, {1,2,3,4} The ordering is not necessary. My current implementation is to have a table Combinations that maps ObjectIds to CombinationIds. So every combination receives a unique Id: ObjectId | CombinationId ------------------------ 1 | 1 2 | 1 1 | 2 3 | 2 4 | 2 This is the mapping for the first two combinations of the example above. The problem is, that the query for finding the CombinationId of a specific Combination seems to be very complex. The two main usage scenarios for this table will be to iterate over all combinations, and the retrieve a specific combination. The table will be created once and never be updated. I am using SQLite through JDBC. Is there any simpler way or a best practice to implement such a mapping?

I know I should scan (whenever a character is pressed on the textarea) a list or array for a match and return the result, but, 1000 entries, how should I implement it? I'm thinking of HashMap, but can I do something like this? <"msg,flow,flow","flowbits" Also, in a sentence the arguments might not be in order, so assuming that it's flow,flow,msg then I can't match anything in the HashMap as the key is "msg,flow,flow". The problem I'm struggling with is how to add a property to one of my subclasses that's both a value type for which I have an IUserType implemented and also mapped via an association: class OtherReport : BasicReport { public SpecialValue V { get; set; } } class SpecialValueUserType : IUserType { ... } What I'd like to do is: <joined-subclass name="OtherReport" table="otherReports" extends="BasicReport"> <key column="id"/> <join table="rptValues" fetch="join"> <key column="rptId"/> <property name="V" column="value" type="SpecialValueUserType"/> </join> </joined-subclass> This accurately reflects the intent, and the pre-existing database schema I'm tied to: the SpecialValue instance is a property of the OtherReport, but is stored in a separate table ("rptValues"). Unfortunately, it seems as though I can't do this, because <join> elements can't be used in <joined-subclass> mappings. <one-to-one> would require creating a class mapping for SpecialValue, which doesn't make any sense given that SpecialValue is just a meaningful scalar. So what can I do? Do I have any options?   • Create Views for object properties in model in MVC 3 application?

    I have an Asp.Net MVC 3 application with a database "Consultants", accessed by EF. Now, the Consultant table in the db has a one-to-many relationship to several other tables for CV type information (work experience, etc). So a user should be able to fill in their name etc once, but should be able to add a number of "work experiences", and so on. But these foreign key tables are complex objects in the model, and when creating the Create View I only get the simple properties as editor fields. How do I go about designing the View or Views so that the complex objects can be filled in as well? I picture a View in my mind where the simple properties are simple fields, and then some sort of control where you can click "add work experience", and as many as needed would be added. But how would I do that and still utilize the model binding? In fact, I don't know how to go about it at all. (BTW, Program and Language stand for things like software experience in general, and natural language competence, not programming languages, in case you're wondering about the relationships there). Any ideas greatly appreciated!   • How to map oracle timestamp to appropriate java type in hibernate?

    I am new to hibernate and I am stumped. In my database I have tables that have a columns of TIMESTAMP(6). I am using Netbeans 6.5.1 and when I generate the hibernate.reveng.xml, hbm.xml files, and pojo files it sets the columns to be of type Serializable. This is not what I expected, nor what I want them to be. I found this post on the hibernate forums saying to place: in the hibernate.reveng.xml file. In Netbeans you are not able to generate the mappings from this file (it creates a new one every time) and it does not seem to have the ability to re-generate them from the file either (at least according to this it is slated to be available in version 7). So I am trying to figure out what to do. I am more inclined to believe I am doing something wrong since I am new to this, and it seems like it would be a common problem for others. So what am I doing wrong? If I am not doing anything wrong, how do I work around this? I am using Netbeans 6.5, Oracle 10G, and I believe Hibernate 3 (it came with my netbeans). Edit: Meant to say I found this stackoverflow question, but it is really a different problem.

    Hi, I am having trouble implementing mipmapping in OpenGL. I am using OpenFrameworks and have modified the ofTexture class to support the creation and rendering of mipmaps. The following code is the original texture creation code from the class (slightly modified for clarity): glEnable(texData.textureTarget); glBindTexture(texData.textureTarget, (GLuint)texData.textureID); glTexSubImage2D(texData.textureTarget, 0, 0, 0, w, h, texData.glType, texData.pixelType, data); glTexParameteri(texData.textureTarget, GL_TEXTURE_MAG_FILTER, GL_LINEAR); glTexParameteri(texData.textureTarget, GL_TEXTURE_MIN_FILTER, GL_LINEAR); glDisable(texData.textureTarget); This is my version with mipmap support: glEnable(texData.textureTarget); glBindTexture(texData.textureTarget, (GLuint)texData.textureID); gluBuild2DMipmaps(texData.textureTarget, texData.glTypeInternal, w, h, texData.glType, texData.pixelType, data); glTexParameteri(texData.textureTarget, GL_TEXTURE_MAG_FILTER, GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_LINEAR); glTexParameteri(texData.textureTarget, GL_TEXTURE_MIN_FILTER, GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_LINEAR); glDisable(texData.textureTarget); The code does not generate errors (gluBuild2DMipmaps returns '0') and the textures are rendered without problems. However, I do not see any difference. The scene I render consists of "flat, square tiles" at z=0. It's basically a 2D scene. I zoom in and out by using "glScale()" before drawing the tiles. When I zoom out, the pixels of the tile textures start to "dance", indicating (as far as I can tell) unfiltered texture look-up. See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_As2Np3m8A at 25s. My question is: since I do not move the camera position, but only use scaling of the whole scene, does this mean OpenGL can not decide on the appropriate mipmap level and uses the full texture size (level 0)?     I am using authlogic for authentication in my Rails app. Have named routes for the frequent actions, viz: map.login "login", :controller = "user_sessions", :action = "new" map.logout "logout", :controller = "user_sessions", :action = "destroy" map.register "register", :controller = "users", :action = "new" map.edit 'user/edit/:id', :controller = "users", :action = "edit" But also in my routes.rb i have these automatically created REST routes too: map.resources :user_sessions map.resources :users The problem now is that a user can login from two different routes. Ex: From, http://localhost/login and also from http ://localhost/user_sessions/new. How do i restrict access only from the named route i have defined and not allow from user_sessions/new?
