  • Porting WebSphere code to get remote credentials to Tomcat

    I have been asked to look into porting some code from a web app under IBM WAS 7 so that it will run under Tomcat 7. This is part of a larger SPNEGO/Kerberos SSO system but for purposes of discussion I have distilled the code down to the following that shows the dependencies on the two WebSphere classes AccessController and WSSubject: GSSCredential clientCreds = (GSSCredential) com.ibm.ws.security.util.AccessController.doPrivileged(new java.security.PrivilegedAction() { public Object run() { javax.security.auth.Subject subject = com.ibm.websphere.security.auth.WSSubject.getCallerSubject(); GSSCredential clientCreds = (GSSCredential) subject.getPrivateCredentials(GSSCredential.class).iterator().next(); return clientCreds; } }); I'd like to be able to do this in Tomcat.

    Hi, I've been using XPath with Selenium quite happily and even using getEval with a but of Javascript, but a colleague said wouldn't it be great to be able to use JQuery selectors in Selenium. I've googled it, but can't find any articles that seem to work for me. Could anyone provide a comprehensive guide on how to use JQuery syntax to extract doc elements and their respective values out of selenium. I'm using C# to write my selenium tests, so if any examples could be from a C# perspective that'd be great. Thanks

  • Git Use Remote Source Durring Push

    I have a local git repository a "central" repo at github. I'm working on a part of a project, while a friend is working on a related piece that is its entirely seperate repo, is it possible for me to simply link directly to my friends repo? For example, the app is called widgets. I have all my code in widgets/app/mycode and my friend is writing code that goes into widgets/plugins/awesome/hiscode. I want to be able to always have http://github.com/mycode/widgets/plugins/hiscode to be a direct link or clone to http://github.com/hiscode/awesome ? It could be possible i'm missing something basic in my question or knowledge of git, if so please ask, and i'll be happy to try to fill in the blanks. I am deploying to my production site via capistrano, so maybe a script of some kind may be easier?? I don't know (that's why i'm posting)!!

  • Delphi: Transporting Objects to remote computers

    Hallo. I am writing a tier2 ordering software for network usage. So we have client and server. On the client I create Objects of TBest in which the Product ID, the amount and the user who orders it are saved. (So this is a item of an Order). An order can have multiple items and those are saved in an array to later send the created order to the server. The class that holds the array is called TBestellung. So i created both TBest.toString: string; and TBest.fromString(source: string): TBest; Now, I send the toString result to the server via socket and on the server I create the object using fromString (its parsing the attributes received). This works as intended. Question: Is there a better and more elegant way to do that? Serialisation is a keyword, yes, but isn't that awful / difficult when you serialize an object (TBestellung in this case) that contains an Array of other Objects (TBest in this case)? //Small amendment: Before it gets asked. Yes I should create an extra (static) class for toString and fromString because otherwise the server needs to create an "empty" TBest in order to be able to use fromString.

    I have two web applications say App1 and App2. I want to call a servlet which is in App2 from a servlet in App1. I'm using URLConnection for this. I'm able to pass parameters to the servlet in App2 also and I'm also able to receive response from the servlet as string. But I want to send java objects from the servlet in App2 and receive them in servlet of App1. How to achieve this?

    How can I best create a webservice method which returns JSON data that is to be consumed by an application on a different domain? The following article talks about how to set it up: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/webservices/ASPNET_JSONP.aspx I havent tried it out yet but it seems like there are a lot of steps and the ajax client has to do some extra work. My question, is there a better way to do this? Also, I dont know too much about WCF services. Would I still have to go through a lot of work to enable JSONP? Thanks in advance.

    I have two computers that share the same Internet IP address. Using one of the computers, I can remotely connect to a SQL Server database on the other. Here is my connection string: SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection(@"Data Source=192.168.1.101\SQLEXPRESSNI,1433;Network Library=DBMSSOCN;Initial Catalog=FirstDB;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=username;Password=password;"); 192.168.1.101 is the server, SQLEXPRESSNI is the SQL Server instance name, and FirstDB is the name of the database. Now, I have another computer with a different Internet IP address. I want to connect to the server above using the third computer that does not belong to my local area network. I dont have access to that third computer at the moment, so I want to use (if possible) the client computer in LAN again. SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection(@"Data Source=SharedInternetIP\SQLEXPRESSNI,1433;Network Library=DBMSSOCN;Initial Catalog=FirstDB;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=username;Password=password;"); Does not work Note that I am a beginner, so I am not quite sure what I am doing even though I know what I want to do. By passing the Internet IP to the SqlConnection object rather than the local IP address, how can I successfully connect to the server computer, using the client computer in the same network? Also note that my ultimate goal is to connect to the server with an external client, but I don't have access to that computer right now. I'd appreciate any help.

The problem is that the data is completed correctly on the form but the images are not uploaded. Can anyone help with advices/code/guidance?

  • Magento - Mage::getModel not working on remote server

    I'm struggling with an issue for which I can't find an explanation. I have two development environments that I use for my projects. I created a simple module for Magento and I tested it on one environment. After overcoming all Magento's complications, the module works as expected. This is on XAMPP. I then copied the module to the development Linux environment, on a hosted server, and it crashes miserably. I did some debugging, and I found out that a call to Mage::getModel() returns bool(false) instead of the instance of the Model I requested. I double checked all files and directories, and they match. Database is not involved (not from my side, at least, I don't need tables) and both environments have only me as a User, with Admin permissions. Any suggestion on where should I start looking is welcome, thanks.

The solution for IE and firefox is to cast the object to a RenderedRemoteWebElement and then call the property Displayed. I'm using the following methods to return if a element is visible: /// <summary> /// Check if the control is visible. /// </summary> public bool IsVisible() { IWebElement control = mSelenium.FindElement(mFindBy); return ((RenderedRemoteWebElement)control).Displayed; } The problem is when I run this using Chrome, I get an exception when casting to type RenderedRemoteWebElement, this is not really the problem as I can catch this, but I need to a solution to check if an element is visible in chrome.     I am developing a library for Android that requires frequent updates from a central server. I was thinking how nice it would be if my library could update itself -- or if I could just release a bootstrap library that downloads the target library when the app is installed. I see this class in 1.5 called "DexClassLoader" but there seems to be precious little on the web besides the API docs. Has anyone used this successfully for the scenario which I described? Also, do the terms of the Android Market permit such a thing?

  • nginx + ssi + remote uri access does not work

    I have a setup where my nginx is in front with apache+PHP behind. My PHP application cache some page in memcache which are accessed by nginx directly except some dynamic part which are build using SSI in Nginx. The first problem I had was nginx didnt try to use memcache for ssi URI. <!--# include virtual="/myuser" --> So I figured that if I force it to use a full URL, it would do it. <!--# include virtual="http://www.example.com/myuser" --> But in logs file (both nginx and apache) I can see that a slash has been added at the beginning of the url http ssi filter "/http://www.example.com/myuser" In the source code of the SSI module I see a PREFIX that seems to be added, but I can really tell if I can disable it. Anybody got this issue? Nginx version : 0.7.62 on Ubuntu Karmic 64bits Thanks a lot

    I am designing a desktop application in C#, which needs to be connected to my online mysql database. I tried to give access in control panel a "%" which means from any IP, but it is not working. May be the hosting provider (bigrock) not allowing that. Alternatively, I am trying to write some code in online on PHP which will get the "sql" as parameter and returns the output as JSON format using json_encode. Is there any alternate methods which is better approach.
