  • Why did this new line just show up on my google maps

    i am using the google maps API (v3). I just realized that a new line showed up at the bottom of my map that says: Map Data 2010 AND, AfriGIS (Pty) Ltd, Europa Technologies, Inva, Geosysternas SRL, Maplink . . . . How do i get rid of this? Its longer than my map so it gets truncated and looks weird, is there any way to fix this (if there is no way to do #1)

  • Line Graph CGPoints from NSMutableArray

    I have been trying to adapt the code from the accelerometer example such that when the user depresses a uibutton a point is added to a line graph. Working on the converting two floats, which are the result of calculate as below into a CGPoint and converting the CGPoint into an NSValue and then adding this to a NSMutableArray with the following -(IBAction)calculate:(id)sender { self.points = [NSMutableArray array]; CGPoint pt = CGPointMake(d, c); [self.points addObject:[NSValue valueWithCGPoint:pt]]; NSLog(@"%@", NSStringFromCGPoint(pt)); NSLog(@"%@", [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d points", self.points.count ]); } But for some reason I am only getting one object stored in the array, it seems everytime push the calculate button the object pt gets overwritten, on the plus side it has the correct x,y coords. Any ideas on this one? UPDATE Removed self.points = [NSMutableArray array]; and placed it in view did load, also set the first points to 0,0. so that is working ok. Now the next problem is that I have a Graph subclass where the CG Drawing is taking place. I am trying to figure out a simple way to be able to access the above NSMutableArray which is in a ViewController class from the graph class. Am so close to the end but am really stuck, any help would be great. Still trying to draw a line graph on a UIView which is on a UIScrollview. The draw rect method is in the UIView Subclass and everything is working there, I have gridlines and labels on the axis and I can draw manually onto it. But the problem I have is that I cannot read the NSMutableArray of the CGPoints, which are the x and y coords. The ViewController performs a calculation and the results are written to the NSMutable array and this is all working fine as well, I can see the CGpoints and their values being written with NSLogs in the ViewController. I have tried various ways to set the NSMutableArray up as a global but to no avail, everything runs but while I can see the points being written in the ViewController they are just not visible to the UIView Subclass. I have also tried to use the addObserver and observeValueForKeyPath methods and once again while everything runs the subclass cannot see the array. Any ideas, suggestions, tips or thoughts would be great

    hi, how can I fix this problem on Internet Explorer 7: If I resize the browser window you'll see that the letters of the last tag on the right (in the header) are displayed in vertical one above each other. This happen only in IE, and not in other browser (you can better see the bug by visiting the website: http://www.sanstitre.ch/drupal/portfolio How can I ask IE 7 to consider the word as block, and move it to next line instead of listing the letters in vertical ? thanks

Use case: I have my mobile phone connected via USB, Using gammu --sendsms TEXT I can write text messages. I have the phonebook as CSV, and want to search-as-i-type on that.     Just using it as a method parameter is fine but what about an easy way to use it in strings? Does it have to be some monstrosity of a macro?

  • Jar not found when executing class

    Hi there, I'm working through the ANTLR book and there are many examples that should be easy to compile using the command line. Some information to get te problem: antlr-3.2.jar contains the ANTLR classes. I added the antlr-3.2.jar to the CLASSPATH environment variable (Windows 7) and when compiling the classes with javac everything works fine. This is what i execute to compile my program: javac Test.java ExprLexer.java ExprParser.java Test.java contains my main()-method whereas ExprLexer and ExprParser are generated by ANTLR. All three classes use classes contained in the antlr-3.2.jar. But so far so good. As I just said, compiling works fine. It's when I try to execute the Test.class that I get trouble. This is what I type: java -cp ./ Test When executing this, the interpreter tells me that he can't find the ANTLR-classes contained in the antlr-3.2.jar, altough I added an entry in the CLASSPATH variable. E:\simone\Programmierung\Language Processing Tools\ANTLR\Book Samples and Exercises\Exercise\1\output\Test.java Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/antlr/runtime/Cha rStream Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.antlr.runtime.CharStream at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:202) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:190) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:307) at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:301) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:248) Could not find the main class: Test. Program will exit. I'm using Windows 7 and Java 1.6_20. Can someone tell what is going on? Why will the interpreter not look in the jar-Archive I specified in the CLASSPATH? I found some kind of workaroud. I copied the antlr-3.2.jar into the directory where the Test.class is located and then executed: java -cp ./;antlr-3.2.jar Test This worked out. But I don't want to type the jar-Archive everytime I execute my test programs. Is there a possibility to tell the interpreter that he should automatically look into the archive?

  • Cannot turn off autocommit in a script using the Django ORM

    I have a command line script that uses the Django ORM and MySQL backend. I want to turn off autocommit and commit manually. For the life of me, I cannot get this to work. Here is a pared down version of the script. A row is inserted into testtable every time I run this and I get this warning from MySQL: "Some non-transactional changed tables couldn't be rolled back". #!/usr/bin/python import os import sys django_dir = os.path.abspath(os.path.normpath(os.path.join(os.path.dirname(__file__), '..'))) sys.path.append(django_dir) os.environ['DJANGO_DIR'] = django_dir os.environ['DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE'] = 'myproject.settings' from django.core.management import setup_environ from myproject import settings setup_environ(settings) from django.db import transaction, connection cursor = connection.cursor() cursor.execute('SET autocommit = 0') cursor.execute('insert into testtable values (\'X\')') cursor.execute('rollback') I also tried placing the insert in a function and adding Django's commit_manually wrapper, like so: @transaction.commit_manually def myfunction(): cursor = connection.cursor() cursor.execute('SET autocommit = 0') cursor.execute('insert into westest values (\'X\')') cursor.execute('rollback') myfunction() I also tried setting DISABLE_TRANSACTION_MANAGEMENT = True in settings.py, with no further luck.   • Get JVM to grow memory demand as needed up to size of VM limit?

    We ship a Java application whose memory demand can vary quite a lot depending on the size of the data it is processing. If you don't set the max VM (virtual memory) size, quite often the JVM quits with an GC failure on big data. What we'd like to see, is the JVM requesting more memory, as GC fails to provide enough, until the total available VM is exhausted. e.g., start with 128Mb, and increase geometrically (or some other step) whenever the GC failed. The JVM ("Java") command line allows explicit setting of max VM sizes (various -Xm* commands), and you'd think that would be designed to be adequate. We try to do this in a .cmd file that we ship with the application. But if you pick any specific number, you get one of two bad behaviors: 1) if your number is small enough to work on most target systems (e.g., 1Gb), it isn't big enough for big data, or 2) if you make it very large, the JVM refuses to run on those systems whose actual VM is smaller than specified. How does one set up Java to use the available VM when needed, without knowing that number in advance, and without grabbing it all on startup?

  • Automate the signature of the update.rdf manifest for my firefox extension

    Hello, I'm developing a firefox extension and I'd like to provide automatic update to my beta-testers (who are not tech-savvy). Unfortunately, the update server doesn't provide HTTPS. According to the Extension Developer Guide on signing updates, I have to sign my update.rdf and provide an encoded public key in the install.rdf. There is the McCoy tool to do all of this, but it is an interactive GUI tool and I'd like to automate the extension packaging using an Ant script (as this is part of a much bigger process). I can't find a more precise description of what's happening to sign the update.rdf manifest than below, and McCoy source is an awful lot of javascript. The doc says: The add-on author creates a public/private RSA cryptographic key pair. The public part of the key is DER encoded and then base 64 encoded and added to the add-on's install.rdf as an updateKey entry. (...) Roughly speaking the update information is converted to a string, then hashed using a sha512 hashing algorithm and this hash is signed using the private key. The resultant data is DER encoded then base 64 encoded for inclusion in the update.rdf as an signature entry. I don't know well about DER encoding, but it seems like it needs some parameters. So would anyone know either the full algortihm to sign the update.rdf and install.rdf using a predefined keypair, or a scriptable alternative to McCoy whether a command-line tool like asn1coding will suffise a good/simple developer tutorial on DER encoding

  • How can I add the "--watch" flag to this TextMate snippet?

    I love TextMate as my editor for all things web, and so I'd like to use a snippet to use it with style.less files to automatically take advantage of the .less way of compiling .css files on the fly using the native $ lessc {filepath} --watch as suggested in the less documentation (link) My (thanks to someone who wrote the LESS TM Bundle!) current TextMate snippet works well for writing the currently opened .less file to the .css file but I'd like to take advantage of the --watch parameter so that every change to the .less file gets automatically compiled into the .css file. This works well when using the Terminal command line for it, so I am sure it must be possible to use it in an adapted version of the current LESS Command for TextMate since that only invokes the command to compile the file. So how do I add the --watch flag to this command:? #!/usr/bin/env ruby file = STDIN.read[/lessc: ([^*]+\.less)/, 1] || ENV["TM_FILEPATH"] system("lessc \"#{file}\"") I assume it should be something like: #!/usr/bin/env ruby file = STDIN.read[/lessc: ([^*]+\.less)/, 1] || ENV["TM_FILEPATH"] system("lessc \"#{file}\" --watch") But doing so only crashes the TextMate.app. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
