  • Can't get div to 100% height?

    I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong, and I can't figure out how to Google it because a common mistake is very prevalent. I have the parent's height explicitly set, but I can't get #main-sub-content 's height to 100%.   • Logging on to two sites simultaneously

    I want to log on to two sites simultaneously to enable a single sign on solution. We have a smallish wiki that is created with Apple wiki and we have an intranet site on a aspx cms system by Elcom. Both use Active Directory for credentials. Currently they are on different domains, but we could enable a rewrite using our load-balancer (Citrix Netscaler) or IIS. These sites are on different servers, one a mysterious Mac system and the other an IIS v6.0 on windows 2003. Now I am almost certain that a reverse proxy set up will solve this but I really just need someone to agree that this solves this issue, and if there are things I should look out for what they might be. I just want to have an invisible log on screen in an iframe and enter clone the user name and password using javascript.

Basically, I have a float variable, and I'd like to have a function that will receive that variable, and output: "$ 2,500.00" What's the best way to do this?   • INSERT INTO ... SELECT ... vs dumping/loading a file in MySQL

    What are the implications of using a INSERT INTO foo ... SELECT FROM bar JOIN baz ... style insert statement versus using the same SELECT statement to dump (bar, baz) to a file, and then insert into foo by loading the file? In my messing around, I haven't seen a huge difference. I would assume the former would use more memory, but the machine that this runs on has 8GB of RAM, and I never even see it go past half used. Are there any huge (or long term) performance implications that I'm not seeing? Advantages/disadvantages of either?

  • Getting data from ListView control

    I need to retrieve my data from a ListView control set up in Details mode with 5 columns. I tried using this code: MessageBox.Show(ManageList.SelectedItems(0).Text) And it works, but only for the first selected item (item 0). If I try this: MessageBox.Show(ManageList.SelectedItems(2).Text) I get this error: InvalidArgument=Value of '2' is not valid for 'index'. Parameter name: index I have no clue how I can fix this, any help? Edit: Sorry, should have said, I'm using Windows.Forms :)

  • MKPinAnnotationView - hard to drag

    I have a MKPinAnnotationView that the user can drag around the map. It is very difficult for a user to drag the pin. I've tried increasing the frame size and also using a giant custom image. But nothing seems to actually change the hit area for the drag to be larger than default. Consequently, I have to attempt to tap/drag about ten times before anything happens.   • How is the implicit segment register of a near pointer determined?

    In section 4.3 of Intel 64® and IA-32 Architectures Software Developer's Manual. Volume 1: Basic Architecture, it says: A near pointer is a 32-bit offset ... within a segment. Near pointers are used for all memory references in a flat memory model or for references in a segmented model where the identity of the segment being accessed is implied. This leads me to wondering: how is the implied segment register determined? I know that (%eip) and displaced (%eip) (e.g. -4(%eip)) addresses use %cs by default, and that (%esp) and displaced (%esp) addresses use %ss, but what about (%eax), (%edx), (%edi), (%ebp) etc., and can the implicit segment register depend also on the instruction that the memory address operand appears in?

  • Concatenation yields error with underscore

    I am trying to create a macro that brings in the name of the sheet and combine it with text. For example, for sheet one, I want it to say "ThisIs_Sheet1_Test" in I5 of Sheet1. There are several sheets but it should work for all of them. What is wrong with my code? I think the underscore might be ruining it all.   • How to do simultaneous builds in two Git branches?

    I've looked at git-new-workdir, but I don't want the history to be shared because the branches have a release-main relationship. That is, changes in the release branch I want to propagate to the main line, but changes in the main line I don't want in the release line. A common pattern for me is to fix a bug in the release line, integrate it to the main line, then start builds in both branches at the same time. Is there a way to do this with git-new-workdir, do I need to clone, or is there a better solution? Thanks

  • Searching for URL's Relative to Site Root in Javascript Source

    Hi, I am working on a web site with several other developers and we have had problems where people commit JavaScript code with AJAX calls that use URL's relative to the site root. An example would be /Home/Index which will not work if the site is hosted in a virtual directory. To get round the problem we use a $.url() method to convert it to a full path, e.g. $("#container").load($.url("/Home/Index")) I am trying to write a unit test that will search each JavaScript file and find places where the $.url method is not being used. The only problem is that I cannot seem to write a regex expression to do this. I have tried the following: (?!\$\.url\()"(/\w*)+" But this does not work. I cannot find a way to say that I don't want the $.url in front. Does anyone know if this is possible? Note that I need regular expressions that are compatible with .NET Thanks.

    Hi, Can anyone tell me if there is a way (in MATLAB) to check whether a certain value is equal to any of the values stored within another array? The way I intend to use it is to check whether an element index in one matrix is equal to the values stored in another array (where the stored values are the indexes of the elements which meet a certain criteria). So, if the indices of the elements which meet the criteria are stored in the matrix below: criteriacheck = [3 5 6 8 20]; Going through the main array (called array) & checking if the index matches: for i = 1:numel(array) if i == 'Any value stored in criteriacheck' ...   • Design Advice Needed For Synonyms Database

    I'm planning to put together a database that can be used to query synonyms of words. The database will end up huge, so the idea is to keep things running fast. I've been thinking about how to do this, but my database design skills are not up to scratch these days. My initial idea was to have each word stored in one table, and then another table with a 1 to many relationship where each word can be linked to another word and that table can be queried. The application I'm developing allows users to highlight a word, and then type in, or select some synonyms from the database for that word. The application learns from the user input so if someone highlights "car" and types in "motor" the database would be updated to link the relationship if it don't exist already. What I don't want to happen is for a user to type in the word "shop" and link it to the word car. So I'm thinking I will need to add some sort of weight to each relationship. Eventually the synonyms the users enter will be used so they can auto select common synonyms used with a certain word. The lower weight words will not be displayed so shop could never be a synonym of car unless it had a very high weight, and chances are nobody is going to do that. Does the above sound right? Can you offer any suggestions or improvements?
