  I am developing a C# / ASP.NET web application in VS 2008 on a 32-bit XP. I created a Login.aspx file for the user to enter a user name and password initially before seeing any data. This functionality works now from VS. I added users and roles by entering ASP.NET Configuration. However, after publishing to IIS 6.0, the password does not work there. How do I configure Directory Security in IIS for the same user name and password to work?

• Cannot import PyQt4.QtGui

  I have a working Python 2.6 install and just installed the PyQt4 built for Python 2.6 (available at http://www.riverbankcomputing.co.uk/software/pyqt/download). When I try to import PyQt4.QtGui I get the following error: ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified procedure could not be found. I'm on Windows 2k8 64-bit, but my Python install is 32-bit.

• How do I prevent programmatically the "Program Compatibility Assistant" in Vista (and Windows 7) fro

  I develop a C++ program which might use adobe flash, although it is not essential. I use CoCreateInstance to create the flash object, and if it fails, I know flash is not installed so I don't use it. However, in Vista (and I think Windows 7 as well), when flash is not installed, after leaving the application, the "Program Compatibility Assistant" pops up a message saying that "This program requires a missing Windows component" specifying the flash.ocx. Is there a way to prevent this message from appearing? I don't want to force any user to install flash (especially since it's the IE ActiveX, and FireFox users might not have it installed), and my application can operate well without the flash. Plus this message is really annoying when it appears after every run. I don't mean of course disabling the PCA on the user's machine, but programmatically disable this specific appearance on all machines. Any thoughts? Thanks [EDIT:] I followed Shay's lead (thanks), and did some more digging of my own.   I have a User Control that contains a System.Web.UI.WebControls.FileUpload control as well as a button to 'Submit'. When the button is clicked code similar to the following is executed: If FileUploadControl.HasFile Then 'Save the file and do some other stuff End If This code works just fine with Windows XP. However, if I run it from a Windows 7 64-bit machine using IE8 32-bit the HasFile property always returns false and nothing is saved?! Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
