For example, a string OT-{CustomCode}-{Date}-{##} could generate codes OT-C0001-20100420-01 OT-C0001-20100420-02 I thought of using RegExpr.Replace(), but I would have problems if the code of a customer was {##} Any help is welcome! However keyboard and mouse-handling is quite complex and is also influenced by for instance the operating system (for instance the use of dead keys) Is there a way to build such a control without having to worry about keyboard input?     I seem to have two options on how to implement arrays, and I want to know which I should go with: Use the ARRAY data type and (from what I understand) effectively serialize data objects into the database (which in my case are just wrapped primitive types; don't know of another way to make this work). Use a separate table and map with foreign keys for each array item. If you have experience with this (especially with H2), which would you recommend?

    Hello, I recently migrated from a PostgreSQL database to a SQL Server database. To switch the data over I had to enable IDENTITY_INSERT. Well come to find out that I get all sorts of strange errors due to duplicate identity values(which are set as primary keys) upon doing an insert in any of the tables. I have quite a few tables. What would be the easiest way of automatically reseeding the identity of every table so that it is after max(RID)?

    I have a three column Table View populated by two NSMutableDictionaries which share the same keys (ie key | value1 | value2 ) with dict1(key,value1) and dict2(key,value2). I want to manually enter data in the third column and create the key/value objects in dict2.     I've learned the basic/intermediate levels of VIM ( it's to vast to list ). I often find that I slip back to my old ways and start using the mouse, holding down keys to get somewhere, and doing other stupid things that could be spead up. Would it be worth spending time to learn ed to break the habits learned from years in Windoze? Does using ed cultivate the right type of thinking that will transfer to VIM???
