  • AssemblyLoadException in postsharp, problem with arguments from referenced DLLs?

    - by RodH257
    I'm just starting out with postsharp/AOP. I want to make some instrumentation for C# to track the usage of some addins that I write for a peice of software. I am trying to use the OnMethodBoundaryAspect class to take note of the values of some of the parameters when the method is called. Those parameters are types which are referenced in an external DLL. When I add my attribute to the method, the project won't build, I get the following error Error 2 Unhandled exception (2.0.5.1204, 64 bit, CLR 2.0, Release): PostSharp.CodeModel.AssemblyLoadException: Error while loading the assembly "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Structure 2011\Program\RevitAPI.dll": Could not load file or assembly 'revitapi, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. Operation is not supported. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131515) The REvitAPI.dll is the file with the type in it. I've also tested just adding the attribute to the project but not applying it to any methods, this also causes the error. So it appears its not related to the method parameter types itself, but merely the existence of this DLL. Has anyone come across this issue before, or can anyone point me in the right direction of where to get some more info on this?

  • Public key of Android project and keystore created in Eclipse?

    - by user578056
    I created an Android project using Eclipse (under Windows FWIW) and let Eclipse create the keypair during the Export Android Application process. I successfully used Eclipse to make a signed release build that is now on the Market. Now I want to now use ProGuard, which I believe means using Ant instead of Eclipse to build. It was a pain, but Ant building works in both debug and release, until it tries to sign the APK. I get: [signjar] jarsigner: Certificate chain not found for: redacted. redacted must reference a valid KeyStore key entry containing a private key and corresponding public key certificate chain. keytool -list -keystore redacted gives me: Keystore type: JKS Keystore provider: SUN Your keystore contains 1 entry redacted, Jan 16, 2011, PrivateKeyEntry, Certificate fingerprint (MD5): BD:0F:70:C1:39:F5:FE:5B:BC:CD:89:0B:C8:66:95:E0 Which brings me to the actual question: where is my public key? I have some sort of public key on my Android Market profile, but is that the pair for my private key? If so, how do I store that in the keystore so that jarsigner will work?

  • Odd difference between Python 2.5 and Python 2.6 on MacOS 10.6 using ctypes and libproc proc_pidinfo

    - by cemasoniv
    I'm trying to determine the current working directory of a process given its PID. The command-line utility lsof does something similar. Here's the source to the python script: import ctypes from ctypes import util import sys PROC_PIDVNODEPATHINFO = 9 proc = ctypes.cdll.LoadLibrary(util.find_library("libproc")) print(proc.proc_pidinfo) class vnode_info(ctypes.Structure): _fields_ = [('data', ctypes.c_ubyte * 152)] class vnode_info_path(ctypes.Structure): _fields_ = [('vip_vi', vnode_info), ('vip_path', ctypes.c_char * 1024)] class proc_vnodepathinfo(ctypes.Structure): _fields_ = [('pvi_cdir', vnode_info_path), ('pvi_rdir', vnode_info_path)] inst = proc_vnodepathinfo() pid = int(sys.argv[1]) ret = proc.proc_pidinfo( pid, PROC_PIDVNODEPATHINFO, 0, ctypes.byref(inst), ctypes.sizeof(inst) ) print(ret, inst.pvi_cdir.vip_path) However, even though this script behaves as expected on Python 2.6, it does not work in Python 2.5: host:dir user$ sudo /usr/bin/python2.6 script.py 2698 <_FuncPtr object at 0x100419ae0> (2352, '/') host:dir user$ sudo /usr/bin/python2.5 script.py 2698 <_FuncPtr object at 0x19fdc0> (0, '') (PID 2698 is "Activity Monitor.app"). Note the different return values. Since this program strongly based on ctypes, I can't imagine any difference in Python itself that would cause this. The same behavior (as Python 2.5) occurs with my self-built Python 3.2. I'm not sure what versioning information I can give to help track down the weirdness -- or even come up with a solution for 2.5 -- but here's some stuff: host:dir user$ otool -L /usr/bin/python2.6 /usr/bin/python2.6: /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 125.2.0) host:dir user$ otool -L /usr/bin/python2.5 /usr/bin/python2.5 (architecture i386): /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 125.2.0) /usr/bin/python2.5 (architecture ppc7400): /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 125.2.0) host:dir user$ uname -a Darwin host.local 10.8.0 Darwin Kernel Version 10.8.0: Tue Jun 7 16:33:36 PDT 2011; root:xnu-1504.15.3~1/RELEASE_I386 i386 Thanks to anyone that has a clue about what's going on here:)

  • How to test an HTTP 301 redirect?

    - by NoozNooz42
    How can one easily test HTTP return codes, like, say, a 301 redirect? For example, if I want to "see what's going on", I can use telnet to do something like this: ... $ telnet nytimes.com 80 Trying 199.239.136.200... Connected to nytimes.com. Escape character is '^]'. GET / HTTP/1.0 (enter) (enter) HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: Sun-ONE-Web-Server/6.1 Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2010 12:18:04 GMT Content-type: text/html Set-cookie: RMID=007af83f42dd4c161dfcce7d; expires=Tuesday, 14-Jun-2011 12:18:04 GMT; path=/; domain=.nytimes.com Set-cookie: adxcs=-; path=/; domain=.nytimes.com Set-cookie: adxcs=-; path=/; domain=.nytimes.com Set-cookie: adxcs=-; path=/; domain=.nytimes.com Expires: Thu, 01 Dec 1994 16:00:00 GMT Cache-control: no-cache Pragma: no-cache Connection: close <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> ... Which is an easy way to access quite some infos. But now I want to test that a 301 redirect is indeed a 301 redirect. How can I do so? Basically, instead of getting a HTTP/1.1 200 OK I'd like to know how I can get the 301? I know that I can enter the name of the URL in a browser and "see" that I'm redirected, but I'd like to know what tool(s) can be used to actually really "see" the 301 redirect. Btw, I did test with a telnet, but when I enter www.example.org, which I redirected to example.org (without the www), all I can see is an "200 OK", I don't get to see the 301.

  • Problems with Runt overlap? but *only* within Rails

    - by trisignia
    Martin Fowler's Runt library is really handy for date/time comparisons, and this code works great in an irb console: require 'runt' include Runt r_start = PDate.month(2010,12) r_end = PDate.month(2011,12) range = DateRange.new(r_start,r_end) o_start = PDate.month(2010,11) o_end = PDate.month(2012,2) o_range = DateRange.new(o_start,o_end) range.overlap?(o_range) but if I add the Runt gem to my Rails 2.3.5 app and try to run the same commands in script/console, I get this error: NoMethodError: undefined method `to_datetime' for Mon, 01 Nov 2010 00:00:00 +0000..Wed, 01 Feb 2012 00:00:00 +0000:Runt::DateRange from /Users/jacob/work/matchbook/vendor/gems/runt-0.7.6/lib/runt/sugar.rb:130:in method_missing' from /Users/jacob/work/matchbook/vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support/core_ext/date_time/calculations.rb:120:in <=' from /Users/jacob/work/matchbook/vendor/gems/runt-0.7.6/lib/runt/pdate.rb:91:in <=>' from /Users/jacob/work/matchbook/vendor/gems/runt-0.7.6/lib/runt/daterange.rb:34:in member?' from /Users/jacob/work/matchbook/vendor/gems/runt-0.7.6/lib/runt/daterange.rb:34:in `overlap?' from (irb):10 Has anyone encountered this error before, or does anyone know how to begin debugging this? I've tried looking at the spaceship operator in the ActiveSupport calculations module, but I can't figure out how to pick apart the problem. Thanks very much for your help, Jacob

  • Remove parent of matched locator

    - by Ilan
    Is there a way to locate a node based child properties? I need to run a web.config transform to remove the 2nd <dependentAssembly in the following: <runtime> <assemblyBinding xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1"> <!-- Don't want to delete this one --> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity name="System.Web.Helpers" publicKeyToken="31bf3856ad364e35"/> <bindingRedirect oldVersion="1.0.0.0-2.0.0.0" newVersion="2.0.0.0"/> </dependentAssembly> <!-- This is the one I want to delete --> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity name="Microsoft.VisualStudio.Enterprise.AspNetHelper" publicKeyToken="b03f5f7f11d50a3a" culture="neutral"/> <codeBase version="11.0.0.0" href="file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Microsoft%20Visual%20Studio%2011.0/Common7/IDE/PrivateAssemblies/Microsoft.VisualStudio.Enterprise.AspNetHelper.DLL"/> </dependentAssembly> </assemblyBinding> </runtime> Finding the <assemblyIdentity is easy enough, but I need to delete the parent <dependentAssembly (and <codeBase). If there was a "xdt:Transform="RemoveParent" this would do the trick, but AFAIK there isn't. Alternatively if there was a Locator I could use on the <dependentAssembly which would match children, then that could work too.

  • How to set default date in date_select helper in Rails

    - by brad
    I'm trying to set up a date of birth helper in my Rails app (2.3.5). At present it is like so. <%= f.date_select :date_of_birth, :start_year => Time.now.year - 110, :end_year => Time.now.year %> This generates a perfectly functional set of date fields that work just fine but.... They default to today's date which is not ideal for a date of birth field (I'm not sure what is but unless you're running a neonatal unit today's date seems less than ideal). I want it to read Jan 1 2010 instead (or 2011 or whatever year it happens to be). Using the :default option has proven unsuccessful. I've tried many possibilities including; <%= f.date_select :date_of_birth, :default => {:year => Time.now.year, :month => 'Jan', :day => 1}, :start_year => Time.now.year - 110, :end_year => Time.now.year %> and <%= f.date_select :date_of_birth, :default => Time.local(2010,'Jan',1), :start_year => Time.now.year - 110, :end_year => Time.now.year %> None of this changes the behaviour of the first example. Does the default option actually work as described? It seems that this should be a fairly straightforward thing to do. Ta.

  • Array help needed for unit conversion application

    - by Manolis
    I have a project to do in Visual Basic. My problem is that the outcome is always wrong (ex. instead of 2011 it gives 2000). And i cannot set as Desired unit the Inch(1) or feet(3), it gives the Infinity error. And if i put as Original and Desired unit the inch(1), the outcome is "Not a Number". Here's the code i made so far. The project is about arrays. Any help appreciated. Public Class Form1 Private Sub btnConvert_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnConvert.Click Dim original(9) As Long Dim desired(9) As Long Dim a As Integer Dim o As Integer Dim d As Integer Dim inch As Long, fathom As Long, furlong As Long, kilometer As Long Dim meter As Long, miles As Long, rod As Long, yard As Long, feet As Long a = Val(Input3.Text) o = Val(Input1.Text) d = Val(Input2.Text) inch& = 0.0833 rod& = 16.5 yard& = 3 furlong& = 660 meter& = 3.28155 kilometer& = 3281.5 fathom& = 6 miles& = 5280 original(1) = inch original(2) = fathom original(3) = feet original(4) = furlong original(5) = kilometer original(6) = meter original(7) = miles original(8) = rod original(9) = yard desired(1) = inch desired(2) = fathom desired(3) = feet desired(4) = furlong desired(5) = kilometer desired(6) = meter desired(7) = miles desired(8) = rod desired(9) = yard If o < 1 Or o > 9 Or d < 1 Or d > 9 Then MessageBox.Show("Units must range from 1-9.", "Error", _ MessageBoxButtons.OK, _ MessageBoxIcon.Information) Return End If Output.Text = (a * original(o)) / desired(d) End Sub End Class

  • Reading Data from DDFS ValueError: No JSON object could be decoded

    - by secumind
    I'm running dozens of map reduce jobs for a number of different purposes using disco. My data has grown enormous and I thought I would try using DDFS for a change rather than standard txt files. I've followed the DISCO map/reduce example Counting Words as a map/reduce job, without to much difficulty and with the help of others, Reading JSON specific data into DISCO I've gotten past one of my latest problems. I'm trying to read data in/out of ddfs to better chunk and distribute it but am having a bit of trouble. Here's an example file: file.txt {"favorited": false, "in_reply_to_user_id": null, "contributors": null, "truncated": false, "text": "I'll call him back tomorrow I guess", "created_at": "Mon Feb 13 05:34:27 +0000 2012", "retweeted": false, "in_reply_to_status_id_str": null, "coordinates": null, "in_reply_to_user_id_str": null, "entities": {"user_mentions": [], "hashtags": [], "urls": []}, "in_reply_to_status_id": null, "id_str": "168931016843603968", "place": null, "user": {"follow_request_sent": null, "profile_use_background_image": true, "profile_background_image_url_https": "https://si0.twimg.com/profile_background_images/305726905/FASHION-3.png", "verified": false, "profile_image_url_https": "https://si0.twimg.com/profile_images/1818996723/image_normal.jpg", "profile_sidebar_fill_color": "292727", "is_translator": false, "id": 113532729, "profile_text_color": "000000", "followers_count": 78, "protected": false, "location": "With My Niggas In Paris!", "default_profile_image": false, "listed_count": 0, "utc_offset": -21600, "statuses_count": 6733, "description": "Made in CHINA., Educated && Making My Own $$. • Getting svn: E170000: Unrecognized URL scheme for my custom Svn Gradle plugin

    - by Ip Doh
    I wrote a custom gradle plugin using groovy to do basic svn tasks like, Checkout, Clean, Tag etc. The groovy class calls the svn command line client to do these operations, It works fine when i run it on my windows system but the same plugin gives the following error when i run it on a linux system (Centos). svn: E170000: Unrecognized URL scheme for '%22https://source.mycompany.net/svn/MyProject/trunk%22' Am able to make the same calls to the command line client through the command prompt or shell script without any issues. So what is the difference with Here is my code sample String command =String.format("svn co -r %d --non-interactive --trust-server-cert -- username %s --password %s --depth infinity \"%s\" \"%s\"", getRevision(), getUserName(), getUserPassword(), getSrcUrl(), getDir()); Process svnProcess = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command); BufferedReader stdInput = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(svnProcess.getInputStream())); BufferedReader stdError = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(svnProcess.getErrorStream())); String statusOutputLine ="" while ((statusOutputLine = stdInput.readLine()) != null) { logger.quiet(" " + statusOutputLine); } while (( statusOutputLine = stdError.readLine()) != null) { logger.error(statusOutputLine) throw new Exception(statusOutputLine) } logger.quiet("Successfully Checked out the work space") i do have neon installed on the system -bash-4.1$ svn --version svn, version 1.6.11 (r934486) compiled Jun 25 2011, 11:30:15 Copyright (C) 2000-2009 CollabNet. • Problem sending email with Codeigniter - Headers sent in the message body

    - by Brian
    Having a strange issue with the email class in codeigniter. When I send email directly to my gmail account email address, it works fine. However if I send email to a different email address and use POP3 to import that email address into gmail, then for some reason all the headers are included in the message. Here's the code for sending the email: $this->email->clear(); $config['mailtype'] = "html"; $this->email->initialize($config); $this->email->set_newline("\r\n"); $this->email->from('[email protected]', 'Website'); $this->email->to('[email protected]'); $this->email->message($message); Here's what arrives in my inbox when the email is sent to an account which is imported into gmail via POP3: Date: Fri, 7 Jan 2011 15:07:04 +0000 From: "Website" <[email protected]> Reply-To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> X-Sender: [email protected] X-Mailer: CodeIgniter X-Priority: 3 (Normal) Message-ID: <[email protected]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="B_ALT_4d272c1835c46" This is a multi-part message in MIME format. • Regex statements for date ranges <=4/1/2009 and <=10/01/2009

    - by reggiereg
    Hi, I need serious help building two Regex statements for a project. The software we're using ONLY accepts Regex for validation. I need one that fires for any date <4/1/2009 and a second that fires for any date <10/1/2009 My co-worker gave me the following code to check for <=10/01/2010, but it checks leap years and all that stuff. I need something a little more streamlined than this in the MM/DD/YYYY format. Thanks in advance! ^(?:(?:0?[1-9])|(?:1[0-2]))(\/|-|.)(?:0?[1-9]|1\d|2[0-8])(\/|-|.)(?:2[0-9][2-9][0-9])$|^(?:(?:0?[1-9])|(?:1[0-2]))(\/|-|.)(?:0?[1-9]|1\d|2[0-8])(\/|-|.)(?:201[1-9])$|^(?:(?:(?:0?[13578]|1[02])(\/|-|.)31)|(?:(?:0?[1,3-9]|1[0-2])(\/|-|.)(?:29|30)))(\/|-|.)(?:201[1-9])$|^(?:(?:(?:11)(\/|-|.))(?:0?[1-9]|1\d|2[0-9]|30)(\/|-|.))(2010)$|^(?:(?:(?:10|12)(\/|-|.))(?:0?[1-9]|1\d|2[0-9]|30|31)(\/|-|.))(2010)$|^(?:(?:0?[1-9])|(?:1[0-2]))(\/|-|.)(?:0?[1-9]|1\d|2[0-8])(\/|-|.)(?:2[0-9][2-9][0-9])$|^(?:(?:(?:0?[13578]|1[02])(\/|-|.)31)\1|(?:(?:0?[1,3-9]|1[0-2])(\/|-|.)(?:29|30)))(\/|-|.)(?:2[0-9][2-9][0-9])$|^(?:(?:0?[1-9])|(?:1[0-2]))(\/|-|.)(?:0?[1-9]|1\d|2[0-8])(\/|-|.)(?:2011)$|^(?:0?2(\/|-|.)29\3(?:(?:(?:2[0-9][1-9]\d)?(?:0[48]|[2468][048]|[13579][26])|(?:(?:16|[2468][048]|[3579][26])00))))$

  • Hudson fails to use unix user/group to do authentication

    - by Kane
    I'm trying to use unix user/group database as security realm of hudson. The linux server is using NIS for user management. My account could login the hudson server via ssh. And the hudson server is running by user 'hudson' that is also a member of group 'shadow', so hudson could read /etc/shadow. And I tested the configuration using 'test' button, hudson tells me it works well. But I can't use my unix account and password to login the hudson sever. And I found below java exception in the log of hudson, Jan 12, 2011 8:23:42 AM hudson.security.AuthenticationProcessingFilter2 onUnsuccessfulAuthentication INFO: Login attempt failed org.acegisecurity.BadCredentialsException: pam_authenticate failed : Authentication failure; nested exception is org.jvnet.libpam.PAMException: pam_authenticate failed : Authentication failure at hudson.security.PAMSecurityRealm$PAMAuthenticationProvider.authenticate(PAMSecurityRealm.java:100) at org.acegisecurity.providers.ProviderManager.doAuthentication(ProviderManager.java:195) at org.acegisecurity.AbstractAuthenticationManager.authenticate(AbstractAuthenticationManager.java:45) at org.acegisecurity.ui.webapp.AuthenticationProcessingFilter.attemptAuthentication(AuthenticationProcessingFilter.java:71) at org.acegisecurity.ui.AbstractProcessingFilter.doFilter(AbstractProcessingFilter.java:252) at hudson.security.ChainedServletFilter$1.doFilter(ChainedServletFilter.java:87) at org.acegisecurity.ui.basicauth.BasicProcessingFilter.doFilter(BasicProcessingFilter.java:173) at hudson.security.ChainedServletFilter$1.doFilter(ChainedServletFilter.java:87) at org.acegisecurity.context.HttpSessionContextIntegrationFilter.doFilter(HttpSessionContextIntegrationFilter.java:249) at hudson.security.HttpSessionContextIntegrationFilter2.doFilter(HttpSessionContextIntegrationFilter2.java:66) at hudson.security.ChainedServletFilter$1.doFilter(ChainedServletFilter.java:87) at hudson.security.ChainedServletFilter.doFilter(ChainedServletFilter.java:76) at hudson.security.HudsonFilter.doFilter(HudsonFilter.java:164) at winstone.FilterConfiguration.execute(FilterConfiguration.java:195) at winstone.RequestDispatcher.doFilter(RequestDispatcher.java:368) at winstone.RequestDispatcher.forward(RequestDispatcher.java:333) at winstone.RequestHandlerThread.processRequest(RequestHandlerThread.java:244) at winstone.RequestHandlerThread.run(RequestHandlerThread.java:150) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:595) Caused by: org.jvnet.libpam.PAMException: pam_authenticate failed : Authentication failure at org.jvnet.libpam.PAM.check(PAM.java:105) at org.jvnet.libpam.PAM.authenticate(PAM.java:123) at hudson.security.PAMSecurityRealm$PAMAuthenticationProvider.authenticate(PAMSecurityRealm.java:90) ... 18 more

  • CSS: Horizontal scrolling with overflow-x

    - by ams
    Hello fellow programmers, I was wondering if there still isn't a good way to get a div to stretch and scroll horizontally, according to the images inside. -After all, it is 2011 now! The mega-width does the trick, but leaves an empty mega-space if not filled with images. If filled too much, images don't display. Same for the jQuery. The situation below is the best I can do after hours of Googling, but it isn't reliable enough. Thanks for your time. Ams * { margin:0; padding:0; } #one { width:200px; height:250px; overflow-x:auto; overflow-y:hidden; } #two { width:10000em; } #two img { float:left; } $(document).ready(function(){ var total=0; $(".calc").each(function(){ total += $(this).outerWidth(true); }); $("#two").css('width',total); alert(total); }); <div id="one"> <div id="two"> <img src="images/testimage3.jpg" width="480" height="192" class="calc"> <img src="images/testimage3.jpg" width="480" height="192" class="calc"> <img src="images/testimage3.jpg" width="480" height="192" class="calc"> <img src="images/testimage3.jpg" width="480" height="192" class="calc"> </div> </div>

  • DSA signature verification input

    - by calccrypto
    What is the data inputted into DSA when PGP signs a message? From RFC4880, i found A Signature packet describes a binding between some public key and some data. The most common signatures are a signature of a file or a block of text, and a signature that is a certification of a User ID. im not sure if it is the entire public key, just the public key packet, or some other derivative of a pgp key packet. whatever it is, i cannot get the DSA signature to verify here is a sample im testing my program on: -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 abcd -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: BCPG v1.39 iFkEARECABkFAk0z65ESHGFiYyAodGVzdCBrZXkpIDw+AAoJEC3Jkh8+bnkusO0A oKG+HPF2Qrsth2zS9pK+eSCBSypOAKDBgC2Z0vf2EgLiiNMk8Bxpq68NkQ== =gq0e -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Dumped from pgpdump.net Old: Signature Packet(tag 2)(89 bytes) Ver 4 - new Sig type - Signature of a canonical text document(0x01). • jQuery aspx error function always called, even with apparently valid return data

    - by M Katz
    I am making an ajax call using jQuery (jquery-1.5.2.min.js). The server receives the call. fiddler shows the response text coming back apparently correct. But back in javascript my error: function is called instead of my success: function, and the data of the parameters to the error function don't give much clue as to the problem. Here's the function where I make the initial call: function SelectCBGAtClickedPoint() { $.ajax( { type: "GET", dataType: "text", url: "http://localhost/ajax/SelectCBGAtPoint/1/2", success: function( msg ) { alert( "success: " + msg ); }, error: function( jqXHR, textStatus, errorThrown ) { alert( "error: " + jqXHR + textStatus + errorThrown ); } } ); } Here's the function where I handle the call in my cherrypy server code: def ajax( ajax, *args ): with lock: print "ajax request received: " + str( args ) cherrypy.response.headers[ "Content-Type" ] = "application/text" return "{ x: 0 }" Cherrypy is an odd beast, and I was thinking the problem must lie there. But as I say, I see both the query go out and the response come back in Fiddler. Here is what Fiddler shows as the raw view of the response: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Mon, 11 Apr 2011 17:49:25 GMT Content-Length: 8 Content-Type: application/text Server: CherryPy/3.2.0 { x: 0 } Looks good, but then back in javascript, I get into the error: function, with the following values for the parameters (as shown in firebug): errorThrown = "" jqXHR = Object { readyState=0, status=0, statusText="error"} statusText = "error" I don't know where that word "error" is coming from. That string does not appear anywhere in my cherrypy server code. Note that even though I'm returning a JSON string I've set the send and receive types to "text" for now, just to simplify in order to isolate the problem. Any ideas why I'm getting this "error" reply, even when errorThrown is empty? Could it be that I haven't properly "initialized" either jQuery or jQuery.ajax?

  • how to incorporate a function within a function

    - by bklynM
    I updated my code with string dates created with new Date and added back in the if statement. This isn't disabling the string or range though. I've added the datepicker code too. function unavailableDays(date) { function createDateRange(first, last) { var dates = []; for(var j = first; j < last; j.setDate(j.getDate() + 7)) { dates.push(new Date(j.getTime())); } var alwaysDisabled = [new Date("1963-3-10T00:00:00"), new Date("1963-3-17T00:00:00"), new Date("1963-3-24T00:00:00"), new Date("1963-3-31T00:00:00"), new Date("1965-9-18T00:00:00")]; return dates.concat(alwaysDisabled); } var disabledDays = createDateRange(new Date("1978-8-10T00:00:00"), new Date("1978-11-5T00:00:00")); var yy = date.getFullYear(), mm = date.getMonth(), dd = date.getDate(); for (i = 0; i < disabledDays.length; i++) { if($.inArray(yy + '-' + (mm+1) + '-' + dd,disabledDays) != -1 || new Date() < date) { return [false]; } } return [true]; } $(document).ready(function (){ $('.selector').datepicker({ inline: true, dateFormat: 'yy-mm-dd', constrainInput: true, changeYear: true, changeMonth: true, minDate: new Date(1940, 1-1, 1), maxDate: new Date(2011, 10-1, 24), beforeShowDay: unavailableDays, onSelect: function(dateText, inst) { $("#img").attr("src", "http://www.example.com" + dateText + ".jpg"); var chosenDates = $.datepicker.parseDate('yy-mm-dd', dateText); var backToString = $.datepicker.formatDate('MM dd' + ',' + ' yy', chosenDates); $('.info').html('You are viewing:' + '<br />' + backToString).addClass('background'); } }); });

  • Where do I put jar files in Tomcat 6?

    - by Simon
    I am having trouble getting my JSP page to load a Java class which is in a jar file. The message I get appears to indicate a class not found exception: Jan 6, 2011 12:21:45 PM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapperValve invoke SEVERE: Servlet.service() for servlet jsp threw exception org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP: An error occurred at line: 72 in the jsp file: /xmlloader.jsp FactArray cannot be resolved to a type 69: sourceType = "1"; 70: } 71: 72: FactArray fa = new FactArray(); 73: Fact f; 74: 75: /***********************/ The Type FactArray is one of my classes in a package com.mypackage.fact.FactArray which exists in myjar.jar. myjar.jar is a separate Java project (using NetBeans, but I don't think that's relevant). I include the package in my JSP as follows: <%@ page import="com.mypackage.fact.*" %> I deploy my web site and JSPs into Tomcat 6 as a WAR file. I include myjar.jar in that WAR in WEB-INF/lib but that doesn't work. I tried putting myjar.jar in my tomcat/lib folder, but that doesn't work either. I have bounced the server several times between changes. I have read a whole bunch of questions on here which say "put it in WEB-INF/lib" but that isn't working, so I'm asking my own question. Where do I need to put common JAR files so they get picked up by Tomcat?

  • jQuery tooltip: Trouble with remove()

    - by Rosarch
    I'm using a jQuery tooltip plugin. I have HTML like this: <li class="term ui-droppable"> <strong>Fall 2011</strong> <li class="course ui-draggable">Biological Statistics I<a class="remove-course-button" href="">[X]</a></li> <div class="term-meta-data"> <p class="total-credits too-few-credits">Total credits: 3</p> <p class="median-GPA low-GPA">Median Historical GPA: 2.00</p> </div> </li> I want to remove the .course element. So, I attach a click handler to the <a>: function _addDeleteButton(course, term) { var delete_button = $('<a href="" class="remove-course-button" title="Remove this course">[X]</a>'); course.append(delete_button); $(delete_button).click(function() { course.remove(); return false; }).tooltip(); } This all works fine, in terms of attaching the click handler. However, when course.remove() is called, Firebug reports an error in tooltip.js: Line 282 tsettings is null if ((!IE || !$.fn.bgiframe) && tsettings.fade) { What am I doing wrong? If the link has a tooltip attached, do I need to remove it specially? UPDATE: Removing .tooltip() solve the problem. I'd like to keep it in, but that makes me suspect that my use of .tooltip() is incorrect here.

  • How 'terse' is too terse? -- Practical guidelines for expressing as much intent in as few characters

    - by Christopher Altman
    First, I love writing as little code as possible. I think, and please correct me, one of the golden rules of programming is to express your code in as few of character as possible while maintaining human readability. But I can get a little carried away. I can pack three or four lines into one statement, something like $startDate = $dateTime > time() ? mktime(0,0,0,date('m',time()-86400),date('d',time()*2),2011) : time(); (Note: this is a notional example) I can comprehend the above code when reading it. I prefer 'mushing' it all together because having less lines per page is a good thing to me. So my question: When writing code and thinking about how compact or terse you can express yourself, what are some guidelines you use? Do you write multiple lines because you think it helps other people? Do you write as little as possible, but use comments? Or do you always look for the way to write as little code as possible and enjoy the rewards of compact statements? (Just one slightly off topic comment: I love the Perl one-liners, but that is not what I am talking about here)

  • How do I improve my performance with this singly linked list struct within my program?

    - by Jesus
    Hey guys, I have a program that does operations of sets of strings. We have to implement functions such as addition and subtraction of two sets of strings. We are suppose to get it down to the point where performance if of O(N+M), where N,M are sets of strings. Right now, I believe my performance is at O(N*M), since I for each element of N, I go through every element of M. I'm particularly focused on getting the subtraction to the proper performance, as if I can get that down to proper performance, I believe I can carry that knowledge over to the rest of things I have to implement. The '-' operator is suppose to work like this, for example. Declare set1 to be an empty set. Declare set2 to be a set with { a b c } elements Declare set3 to be a set with ( b c d } elements set1 = set2 - set3 And now set1 is suppose to equal { a }. So basically, just remove any element from set3, that is also in set2. For the addition implementation (overloaded '+' operator), I also do the sorting of the strings (since we have to). All the functions work right now btw. So I was wondering if anyone could a) Confirm that currently I'm doing O(N*M) performance b) Give me some ideas/implementations on how to improve the performance to O(N+M) Note: I cannot add any member variables or functions to the class strSet or to the node structure. The implementation of the main program isn't very important, but I will post the code for my class definition and the implementation of the member functions: strSet2.h (Implementation of my class and struct) // Class to implement sets of strings // Implements operators for union, intersection, subtraction, // etc. for sets of strings // V1.1 15 Feb 2011 Added guard (#ifndef), deleted using namespace RCH #ifndef _STRSET_ #define _STRSET_ #include <iostream> #include <vector> #include <string> // Deleted: using namespace std; 15 Feb 2011 RCH struct node { std::string s1; node * next; }; class strSet { private: node * first; public: strSet (); // Create empty set strSet (std::string s); // Create singleton set strSet (const strSet &copy); // Copy constructor ~strSet (); // Destructor int SIZE() const; bool isMember (std::string s) const; strSet operator + (const strSet& rtSide); // Union strSet operator - (const strSet& rtSide); // Set subtraction strSet& operator = (const strSet& rtSide); // Assignment }; // End of strSet class #endif // _STRSET_ strSet2.cpp (implementation of member functions) #include <iostream> #include <vector> #include <string> #include "strset2.h" using namespace std; strSet::strSet() { first = NULL; } strSet::strSet(string s) { node *temp; temp = new node; temp->s1 = s; temp->next = NULL; first = temp; } strSet::strSet(const strSet& copy) { if(copy.first == NULL) { first = NULL; } else { node *n = copy.first; node *prev = NULL; while (n) { node *newNode = new node; newNode->s1 = n->s1; newNode->next = NULL; if (prev) { prev->next = newNode; } else { first = newNode; } prev = newNode; n = n->next; } } } strSet::~strSet() { if(first != NULL) { while(first->next != NULL) { node *nextNode = first->next; first->next = nextNode->next; delete nextNode; } } } int strSet::SIZE() const { int size = 0; node *temp = first; while(temp!=NULL) { size++; temp=temp->next; } return size; } bool strSet::isMember(string s) const { node *temp = first; while(temp != NULL) { if(temp->s1 == s) { return true; } temp = temp->next; } return false; } strSet strSet::operator + (const strSet& rtSide) { strSet newSet; newSet = *this; node *temp = rtSide.first; while(temp != NULL) { string newEle = temp->s1; if(!isMember(newEle)) { if(newSet.first==NULL) { node *newNode; newNode = new node; newNode->s1 = newEle; newNode->next = NULL; newSet.first = newNode; } else if(newSet.SIZE() == 1) { if(newEle < newSet.first->s1) { node *tempNext = newSet.first; node *newNode; newNode = new node; newNode->s1 = newEle; newNode->next = tempNext; newSet.first = newNode; } else { node *newNode; newNode = new node; newNode->s1 = newEle; newNode->next = NULL; newSet.first->next = newNode; } } else { node *prev = NULL; node *curr = newSet.first; while(curr != NULL) { if(newEle < curr->s1) { if(prev == NULL) { node *newNode; newNode = new node; newNode->s1 = newEle; newNode->next = curr; newSet.first = newNode; break; } else { node *newNode; newNode = new node; newNode->s1 = newEle; newNode->next = curr; prev->next = newNode; break; } } if(curr->next == NULL) { node *newNode; newNode = new node; newNode->s1 = newEle; newNode->next = NULL; curr->next = newNode; break; } prev = curr; curr = curr->next; } } } temp = temp->next; } return newSet; } strSet strSet::operator - (const strSet& rtSide) { strSet newSet; newSet = *this; node *temp = rtSide.first; while(temp != NULL) { string element = temp->s1; node *prev = NULL; node *curr = newSet.first; while(curr != NULL) { if( element < curr->s1 ) break; if( curr->s1 == element ) { if( prev == NULL) { node *duplicate = curr; newSet.first = newSet.first->next; delete duplicate; break; } else { node *duplicate = curr; prev->next = curr->next; delete duplicate; break; } } prev = curr; curr = curr->next; } temp = temp->next; } return newSet; } strSet& strSet::operator = (const strSet& rtSide) { if(this != &rtSide) { if(first != NULL) { while(first->next != NULL) { node *nextNode = first->next; first->next = nextNode->next; delete nextNode; } } if(rtSide.first == NULL) { first = NULL; } else { node *n = rtSide.first; node *prev = NULL; while (n) { node *newNode = new node; newNode->s1 = n->s1; newNode->next = NULL; if (prev) { prev->next = newNode; } else { first = newNode; } prev = newNode; n = n->next; } } } return *this; }

  • FQL query using stream table doesn't accept app access token

    - by tougher
    I've searched stackoverflow all day long to find an answer without luck, so here we go. I'm trying to fetch data from the stream table like this: FQL: SELECT post_id, message, created_time FROM stream WHERE source_id = 131559313586863 URL: http:// graph.facebook.com/fql?q=SELECT+post_id%2C+message%2C+created_time+FROM+stream+WHERE+source_id+%3D+131559313586863&access_token=10669xxxxx74470|PF-7GSdBx0Nxxxxxkdi1KwSQG-w But I get a 400 Bad Request as response with the error message: "An access token is required to request this resource.". I'm fetching an application access token with this url: https:// graph.facebook.com/oauth/access_token?client_id=FACEBOOK_APP_ID&client_secret=FACEBOOK_APP_SECRET&grant_type=client_credentials Facebook state in this blog post that "You will need to pass a valid app or user access token to access this functionality.". Functionality refers to /feed and /posts (the stream table). Futhermore this wiki tells the same story about using the stream table, "From June 3 2011 a token is required to query this table. You can use any application or user token to make the query.". Does anyone see my hopefully obvious flaw? Please note: The profile in the FQL query is public. I need this to run userless though a cronjob. No user interaction is possible. The request works if I replace the app access token with my own user token from https:// developers.facebook.com/tools/explorer Sorry for breaking the URL's. I need more reputation to post more than 2 links :-/

  • Ideas Related to Subset Sum with 2,3 and more integers

    - by rolandbishop
    I've been struggling with this problem just like everyone else and I'm quite sure there has been more than enough posts to explain this problem. However in terms of understanding it fully, I wanted to share my thoughts and get more efficient solutions from all the great people in here related to Subset Sum problem. I've searched it over the Internet and there is actually a lot sources but I'm really willing to re-implement an algorithm or finding my own in order to understand fully. The key thing I'm struggling with is the efficiency considering the set size will be large. (I do not have a limit, just conceptually large). The two phases I'm trying to implement ideas on is finding two numbers that are equal to given integer T, finding three numbers and eventually K numbers. Some ideas I've though; For the two integer part I'm thing basically sorting the array O(nlogn) and for each element in the array searching for its negative value. (i.e if the array element is 3 searching for -3). Maybe a hash table inclusion could be better, providing a O(1) indexing the element? For the three or more integers I've found an amazing blog post;http://www.skorks.com/2011/02/algorithms-a-dropbox-challenge-and-dynamic-programming/. However even the author itself states that it is not applicable for large numbers. So I was for 2 and 3 and more integers what ideas could be applied for the subset problem. I'm struggling with setting up a dynamic programming method that will be efficient for the large inputs as well.
