Squirrelmail receiving duplicate emails

A client of mine is experiencing issues with his email, it appears that whenever he receives email from a certain domain it comes as duplicates. Not only are they duplicates but the duplicated items have a (+) sign next to them which usually indicates an attachment.
Could this be because of a forwarding issue?
