    Is it possible to build an application inside in browser? An application means: 1 Where there is connection (online mode) between the browser and an remote application server: the application runs in typical web-based mode the application stores necessary data in offline storage, to be used in offline mode (2) the application sync/push data (captured during offline mode) back to the server when it is resumed from offline mode back to online mode 2 Where there is no connection (offline mode) between the browser and an remote application server: the application will still run (javascript?) the application will present data (which is stored offline) to user the application can accept input from user (and store/append in offline storage) Is this possible? If the answer is a yes, is there any (Ruby/Python/PHP) framework being built? Thanks

  • Accidently removed "Contextual Menu Items " folder, RightClick not working , How to recover?

    Hi guys I was testing an application called iTrash during which it seems like i have deleted the "Contextual Menu Items " folder as its no longer present and i can no longer right-click anywhere on my Snow Leopard. I don't have any backups. Can someone tell me how i can recover that folder or if i can download the files needed to have in that folder (just the original ones) to regain the Right-click again?

  • Why MSSQL keeps throwing me Exceptions?

    I have my project in .NET that uses a db in MSSQL Server,i'm using LINQ , sometimes when the projec throws me an exception (Constraint) in a part of the project this same error keeps showing in other part of the project when i do another thing with the db, like when i do an insertion and i had before an exception on delete the insertion throws me the delete exeption, and it remainds this way until i close and open again the project, my major problem is when this happen in my online project, this error in my project causes me problems in the project i'm testing online (i use the same db). I don't know if this exception is on the memory or something but its have been causing me a lot of headechs.

    After publishing a WPF application to a central location using ClickOnce, I am getting following exception when user tries to access the application. There are other applications, which works fine for them and issue is only when they access a particular application. I can't workout why this hence the exception doesn't seems to be very helpful. The number is resetting by the way.

  • jQuery not taking effect immediately.

    Is there any reason for my jQuery effects not to be taking effect immediately? I have jQuery hover fade effects, but then I also have CSS rollovers as backups for anyone who has javascript disabled. What happens is when you load a page and roll over a link, you get the CSS effect, but any time after that, you get the nice, smooth jQuery effect. Is there a fix for this?

  • Learning Objective-C 2.0 and ASP.NET 4.0 simultaneously?

    (HOBBY) I own a Macbook Pro and iPod Touch so developing iPhone/iPod/iPad apps seems like a logical thing to do in order to get some experience in the programming field. Besides I want to write a new application similar to the Capsuleer (Character skills monitor app for EVE Online MMO) but with more features. It's something I'd love to have on my own iPod Touch and I am sure other people will welcome a new EVE Online app for their iPhone or iPod Touch. (CAREER) I want to learn ASP.NET (and possibly Silverlight later on) for my potential future job. I plan to work in the .NET field, so it's a good idea for me to start learning C# and ASP.NET ASAP. Is it a good idea to learn completely unrelated technologies at the same time? Or would it be better to learn one thing at a time? Objective-C first, and ASP.NET second. Or vice versa. Thanks, Sahat

Here's more details: We currently host an online plugin gallery for our product. Users can upload and download plugins. But users can't easily collaborate on a plugin's development, can't easily report and track bugs on a plugin, can't easily track a plugin's versions or roadmap, etc. Of course, contributors can host their plugin development on github, sourceforge, google code, codeplex, etc. But keeping users on our website has some advantages. We are running multiple webshops in a SAAS application where it is possible that users are adding products, buying products and paying for products online, and so on... When deploying we want to do this as clean as possible, so that not payments or orders or other critical data will be lost. We have a deployment scenario set up using phing (amazing tool!) but we are missing one crucial step being the "locking of the live site" while deploying. What is a possible way to lock a live site and bring it back online after deploying?

    I've messed with Access a little bit in the past, had one class on OO theory, and one class on console c++ apps. Now, as a hobby project, I'm undertaking to write an actual app, which will be a database app using System.Data.SQLite and C#. I have the db's table structure planned. I have System.Data.SQLite installed and connected to VS Pro. I entered my tables and columns in VS, but that's where I'm stuck. I really don't know how to finish the db set up so I can start creating queries and testing the db structure. Can someone give me guidance to online resources that will help me learn how to get the db properly set up so I can proceed with testing it? I'm hoping for online resources specific to beginners using C# and System.Data.SQLite, but I'll use the closest I can get. Thanks.

The scripts almost works, except for not waiting long enough to receive an IP (it cycles to next step in the until loop too quick).     I have to develop a online business software solution (similar to ERP) for a company to manage the information exchange for internal use and with external partners. It should be online. What technology should I use, I have checked framewroks like: Flex, Silverlight, Google/GWT, sencha (ExtJS), jQuery, DoJo, Telereik, Infrajistics and others similar. But they seam to be very low level programming. May be this is advantage for other projects, where you need more flexibility, but this project is stright forward. I need something more focused on business software (tables, forms, processes) where and eventually more efficient with less coding, or something I can save time. Is force.com an option? But I can not install this on the customer's servers... Do you have any ideas for me for a web based framework focused on business applications?
