  • Windows: File copy/move with filename regular expressions?

    i basically want to run: C:\>xcopy [0-9]{13}\.(gif|jpg|png) s:\TargetFolder /s i know xcopy doesn't support regular-express filename searches. i can't find out how to find out if PowerShell has a Cmdlet to copy files; and if it does, how to find out if it supports regular expression filename matching. Can anyone think of a way to perform a recursive file copy/move with regex filename matching?

  • ubuntu 10.04 logs itself out overnight

    Every night when I leave work, I lock the screen via ubuntu's "power" button in the top right hand panel. When I come to work in the morning, I'm greeted with the log-in screen. This doesn't happen every night, but most. I'm running ubuntu 10.04 on a Dell inspiron. I've included some HW specs, and also dmesg output. Please let me know what other logs may be useful. thanks!   • Is it possible to boot from a passthrough lsi2008 under esxi?

    I currently have Solaris 11 Express running on bare metal. I'd like to convert the machine to an ESXI host and run the existing os as a virtual machine. I have ESXI setup, the virtual machine made, if I boot the vm from the recovery disk the drives and lsi2008 controller is visible. Everything looks like it should work, but the vm bios does not seem to try and boot from the controller. Is this just impossible?

  • How to strip outgoing mail headers in postfix?

    I have a mail server running on my box. I have webmail access, as well as ability to send mail thru a client. When I send mail thru a web interface (roundcube) it attaches its own headers, so the sender is kept anonymous. When sending mail thru Outlook, or Thunderbird, it attaches its own header, which lists the IP address, computer name, etc. Is there a way to ahve postfix strip these outgoing headers, and replace them with the standard "web mail" header that I get with roundcube?

    I cannot sync my Outlook 2007 Inbox with my Windows Mobile device. The Inbox didn't show in sync setting in Windows Mobile Device Center. WMDC did show Calendar, Contacts, RSS Feeds and everything except Inbox. Using my mobile to receive emails ends with no error messages, but no email appears in the inbox of my mobile.   • Missing HDD space - says 65GB used, selecting all folders shows 30GB used

    Hi Running Windows Server 2008, 74GB raptor drive and noticed we only had about 500MB left - yikes! So deleted some old backups we don't need, but can't track down where about 30GB seems to be taken up. If I go to C: and select all folders and go to properties, this comes to around 30GB but in My Computer I can see 65GB is used. How can I find out whats eating the space? Just IIS + MSSQL Express + Smartermail on the server

I want the machine to be snappy and responsive even when doing a reasonable amount of Development work.
