• jQuery slider not working in Wordpress plugin

  I've written a plugin for wordpress and I want to use a slider on my page. In it's most basic form (now) to test, I have the for the slider on my page <div id="wpge-slider"></div> then in the plugin, I have my init action add_action('init', 'wpge_init' ); function wpge_init() { wp_enqueue_script('jquery'); wp_enqueue_script('jquery-ui-core'); wp_enqueue_script('wpge_search_results', get_bloginfo('wpurl') . '/wp-content/plugins/myplugintest/js/wpge_search_results.js', array('jquery'), '1.0'); } then in my own javascript page, I have jQuery(document).ready(function($) { $("#wpge-slider").slider(); }); Everything (to me) looks ok, and the scripts ARE being called in the header. I can see them on the page... yet the slider is not showing. Can anyone see where I'm going wrong?!

• Style Only Underline

  I have a header that is underlined using text-decoration: underline; The only problem is the line is too thin. I would like to make only the underline thicker. I have considered using border-bottom to do this but the border stretches the full width of the container and the text is centered. Doesn't work. I do not think this is possible and I am ready for the crisicm but it never hurts to ask. Never know what solutions one may come up with.

  I want to make asychronous get requests and to take different results based on the input that I provide to each one. Here is my code: param=1; $.get('http://localhost/my_page_1.php', param, function(data) { alert("id = "+param); $('.resul 5.t').html(data); }); param=2; $.get('http://localhost/my_page_2.php', param, function(data) { alert("id = "+param); $('.result').html(data); }); The result for both requests is: "id = 2" I want the results to be: "id = 1" for the 1st request, and "id = 2" for the second one.. • Need help with jQuery UI Accordion navigationFilter option

  I'm building an accordion for navigation. Each section of the accordion has a set of links. The firing code looks like this: $(document).ready(function() { $(".selector").accordion({ collapsible: true, active: false, navigation: true }); }); This all worked fine and dandy until one of the links in each set was edited to point to a single file, call it foo.html. So now if you navigate to foo.html, the location.href matches every section of the accordion (since each section has a link to it) and that opens all the sections, defeating the purpose of the accordion. So I'm pretty sure I need to use the navigationFilter option but I've googled the living hell out of it and haven't found any examples of how to build the function associated with it. Help me, Stack Overflow!

• Can run Javascript but not jQuery?

  I'm running into a strange problem - I tried running a basic function in JS and jQuery, and while the former worked, the latter didn't. JS - okay alert('Works'); jQuery - not okay $(document).ready({ alert('Works'); }); Here's some facts: My references to the jQuery library are correct (And pretty sure my Internet connection is steady :) I'm using a CDN - CloudFlare to be exact, but I've switched development mode on and Rocket Loader off - so all the code I've uploaded to the server is WYSIWYG (CloudFlare adds some stuff in the tags if you leave Rocket Loader on. I tried running the alert code in the head section, and elsewhere in the body tags, to no avail. What could have possibly gone wrong?   I'm looking for some STL, boost, or similar container to use the same way indexes are used in databases to search for record using a query like this: select * from table1 where field1 starting with 'X'; or select * from table1 where field1 like 'X%'; I thought about using std::map, but I cannot because I need to search for fields that "start with" some text, and not those that are "equal to". I could create a sorted vector or list and use binary search (breaking the set in 2 in each step by reading the element in the middle and seeing if it's more or less than 'X'), but I wonder if there is some ready-made container I could use without reinventing the wheel?

  I have a asp.net app that I want to disable the buttons as soon as they are clicked in order to prevent multiple submissions. I'd like to use jquery for this as the site already liberally uses it anyway. Simply removing the above and the buttons work as normal. Is there a better way?

• No such directory when committing files using CVS from Eclipse

  Hi all I am using Eclipse solely as a CVS client. Mostly it works very good, but once in a while, when I am right-clicking a file to commit it (a file that it itself says is changed and ready for commit), it tells me "cvs [server aborted]: no such directory `...' But the directory DOES exist?! If I navigate to the folder using tortoise CVS and right click for commit, it works fine? (this is the way I finally have to get those files committed) Has anyone experienced this as well, and more importantly - has anyone solved it? :) I am running Vista on the client PC and the CVS server is a Windows Server 2003 (please dont tell me to just switch to Linux - that is not much help). • In MS Access is there a way to allow forms to update while maintaning Read Only

  I have several forms linked tables via queries. The form pull data such as sales and ratios by selecting a product from the main's form's combo box. I am however having to issues: 1- I would ultimately prefer the combo box to be a free entry; however by just entering in the box and hitting enter (not a button called “enter on a screen” which would initiate recalcs, just normal enter), while it does bring the new information in sub-forms it also changes the information in the original table. If I make the table read only that it just doesn't allow the form to work by saying that the table is read only. 2- The same Read only issue occurs when another user with read only rights tries to use the database. I understand that ready only is functioning as intended, however I am wondering if there is way to make some functions work while disallowing the updating. I am unfortunately learning on the go, so go easy plz. Thank you

  May be the question is a bit stupid, but I'll ask it. I read a lot about raw sockets in network, have seen several examples. So, basically with raw sockets it's possible to build own stack of headers, like stack = IP + TCP/UDP + OWN_HEADER. My question is, is it possible to get some kind of ready frame of first two(IP + TCP/UDP) from the linux kernel and then just append own header to them? The operating system in question is linux and the language is C. I cannot find any function which can do such a thing, but may be I'm digging in a wrong direction.

• Writing iPhone apps on linux - What tools do you need

  Hello. I wanted to know if it's possible to WRITE and COMPILE/TEST iPhone apps on a linux platform. I've been on google for a couple of days now, and people either talk about "Mac OS X only!", or "Develop jailbroke apps on Linux". My dev partner has a mac and has a certificate to sign the apps. I don't have a mac, but I will be doing most of the development. So what I want to do is simply develop/test the app in linux, and when it's finished, simply hand over the code to him, who will then compile the finalized app and sign it ready for submission to the app store. Could anyone tell me what linux tools I would need to accomplish this?
