• Weblogic Class-Path Dependencies EAR

  I am deploying an EAR in a WebLogic node with many jars defined in the bootstrap (startWeblogicServer.bat) class-path. The problem is that my ear and the bootstrap contain different versions of the same jars, not only that but certain jars contain extracted third party libraries which also differ in version from the WebLogic bootstrap jars causing all kinds of classpath errors. I know you can set preferred jars in the EAR application xml but, this can be very tedious to resolve with regards to jars which include extracted third party libraries in terms of understanding all the dependencies.. Is there a correct approach that i need to be taking here? Am i thinking about this in the wrong way? Any help would be greatly appreciated! So far prefer-web-inf-classes has been recommended but wont work because i'm not deploying a WAR, also prefer-application-packages is what we are currently using but still has the issue described above... Anymore advice out there?? Thanks!

  So I have an Amazon EC2 box running Windows Server 2008 with Active Directory installed on it. I also have a Windows 7 virtual machine, which is set to use the Active Directory box as its DNS and WINS server. I'm trying to join the virtual machine to the domain, and I'm asked for authentication. I give authentication, wait a minute, and I get an error saying: The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "ad.chigs.me": The network path was not found. How can I fix this so that I'll be able to join the domain? Thanks!

• How do I use a URL path instead of a file path in an Open File dialog in Mac OSX or ChromiumOS?

  In Windows 7 (and perhaps earlier), the default "Open File" dialog box allows you to type a full URL into the "File name" section as if it were a file path, e.g. "http://www.example.com/pic.gif" instead of "C:/windows/pictures/pic.gif". When uploading a file to a website on the client side - say, an image - this allows the client to upload a picture located on a server accessible via the URL instead of downloading the image, saving it locally, then referencing the local image in the "Open File" dialog. It's a great option for Windows users. I have three separate questions: What is this procedure formally called? How do I describe this succinctly so that my searches for more information are fruitful? Can something similar be done in Mac OSX, Chromium OS, or a Linux environment? If so, how? Thanks!

• Valid path to deploy vm on host

  I've recently added a VM to the library in SCVMM to use with MS Test Pro 2010, and run into a problem. I cannot import it using test pro, it just won't give me any option to import in the lab manager. Also, if I try to deploy it back to the host it came from, it gives me a error saying the path is not valid. Anyone have any insight into this? Also, SCVMM seems to freeze everytime I try to create a new VM from the template of the VM I've stored in the library, the same one thats giving me the problem when I try to deploy it on to the host. • Find command exclude files whose path match a certain pattern

  I have a find command that looks for files that was modified recently and outputs the date find /path/on/server -mtime -1 -name '*.js' -exec ls -l {} \; I would like it to exclude any deeply nested folder that matches a certain pattern e.g. there are a number of folders that have a "statistics" directory and ".svn" directories. So i'd like to be able to say if the file that was modified yesterday is in a folder named statistics ignore it. Or perhaps not search for files in those folders at all.

  hi there, I have a problem on my server as below.. On my server i configured a raid array of 3 hard disks, in my c drive their is a web applications running on Apache Tomcat server. Now because of shortage of storage i entered a new hard disk to the server which is not a part of that raid array. Now through my web application i upload some images to new hard drive and file uploaded successfully but when through that same application, i try to retrieve those images and show on a web site i does not recognize that and dose not give any error. i try to access that drive with absolute path but it not works. Can any one help me to find the solution of this problem? Thank You in advance.

  I am new to python. I am trying to use os.path.getsize() to obtain the file size. However, if the file name is not in Englist, but in Chinese, Gemany, or French, etc, Python cannot recognize it and do not return the size of the file. Could you please help me with it? How can I let Python recognize the file's name and return the size of these kind of files? For example: The file's name is:?????????? ????????????? ? ????????????? ???????? ?? 2030?.doc path="C:\xxxx\xxx\xxxx\?????????? ????????????? ? ????????????? ???????? ?? 2030?.doc" I'd like to use" os.path.getsize(path) But it does not recognize the file name. • Search Box/Transition won't work in Firefox

  I disabled the search box on IE, because IE kept centering it over the navigation. It works in Chrome, I'm not sure about opera (and I'm not sure if I care) but it won't work in Firefox. The ease-out timing works in Firefox, but nothing else really works. I've tried other things to work around the issue, but every time I try something different, the search box's positioning gets thrown off. If you look at it in Firefox, it looks fine-- until you click on it to search. http://kissoff.weebly.com/ You can see what the search box is supposed to do if you look at it and click on it in Chrome. I'm sure the positioning is off, I'm not sure (I'm new to css).   I recently installed pdftk using instruction provided at stack overflow I installed it, and run the commanded whereis pdftk the result was /usr/local/bin/pdftk /usr/bin/pdftk I have the powerpannel access and I saw it through it that pdftk actually exists at the location i run the command pdftk --version, it was okay but when in php i use <?php $command = "pdftk --help"; system("PATH=/usr/local/bin/ && $command",$response); if ($response===FALSE){ echo 'sorry error occured'; } else{ echo $response; } ?> the output is 127 the version i am using is 1.41 and the output '127' is something that i cant understand can somebody guide me?

• "Access is denied" when copying text file to printer UNC path

  We have a new server running Server 2008 R2. We also have a "DOS-based" program that prints directly to the UNC path of a print share. With the new server, we are unable to print from this program. According to support, the program's printing works in the same way as if we were to do a "copy mytextfile.txt \\myserver\myprinter". When we try to run this command in DOS, we get "Access is denied". Support is saying that this is why the DOS program is not able to print. I have tried granting all permissions on the printer to the appropriate users (under Security of the printer properties) but that did not work. Is there a policy setting that would cause this to be denied?

• VS 2008, is there a way to search properties like the old vb6/EVB? CTRL+SHIFT?

  I really miss the CTRL+SHIFT+CHAR searching of a property in VS 2008 that older IDE's had... typing CTRL+SHIFT+T got you to "tabindex" then Tag when pressed again. They dropped it in VS 2002 I believe, and the closest I could find to restoring any functionality like it was acorn's property window filter, which isn't exactly functional. Does anyone know of a way to get this functionality back? I hate having to browse through 30-40 properties in design mode, when a CTRL+SHIFT+T would get me right to text. Thanks!

• I cannot search/find any applications in the Dash on 12.04

  Its been a while since I booted my Ubuntu (12.04), but when i did I had several updates (over 100) and I installed them along with rebooting. These updates seemed to mess with my video driver but I seemed to have fixed this. My problem is that my applications do not show anywhere. I can open them via terminal or if there are shortcuts (such as on the toolbar) but if I hit Super and go to Apps, there is nothing. This is true if I hit Super and search any app name nothing will come back (except for files). I need help to understand what happened! Also for some reason I can't upgrade to 12.10 (I assume because I have 12.04 and not 12.04.1, which I don't understand how to get).

  Let's say I have a web page with user-contributed content, which is good content but with bad grammar, slang terms, inappropriate tone. I know that bad grammar is a also a problem because it drives away visitors and scares people from linking to it, but let's put that aside. Let's also put aside the fact that incorrectly spelt terms might be ignored by a crawler, potentially leading to less text-comparizon hits.
