  • Tomcat JMX connection - Authentication failed.

    I am having some problems setting up Tomcat for JMX. I added the following properties to CATALINA_OPTS="-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=18070 -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.password.file=$CATALINA_BASE/conf/jmxremote.password -Dcom.sun .management.jmxremote.ssl=false" And have added the jmxremote.password file in to the conf directory. I wrote a client tool that connects to the JMX server running on port 18070. When i run the client program i get the following error. I think what i am confused of is what is classed as remote access. I am running the client program away from the Tomcat instance but both Tomcat and the client tool are on the same machine (i.e. different virtual machines but same environemnt). I thought i had to configure the remote authentication if i access the JMX server remotely from a different machine. By remote access do they mean accessing the JMX server from any VM either locally or remotely?

  • How do you splice out a part of an xvid encoded avi file, with ffmpeg? (no problems with other files

    Im using the following command, which works for most files, except what seems to be xvid encoded ones /usr/bin/ffmpeg -sameq -i file.avi -ss 00:01:00 -t 00:00:30 -ac 2 -r 25 -copyts output.avi So this should basically splice out 30 seconds of video + audio, starting from 1 minute mark. It does START encoding at the 00:01:00 mark but it goes all the way to the end of the file for some reason, ignoring that I want just 30 seconds. The output looks like this.     Is there a simple way in MS Word to get large quotation marks tightly round a paragraph of text, like you might see in print media to mark a quote? If you simply increase the font size of the quote character, it moves too far away from the text it's accompanying. Worse, the first and last lines start to detach from the rest of the paragraph. I find that I am not able to classify what sort of concurrency model erlang exposes.     There is one big issue for me with Doc in OSX - it does not shows you if more than one window opened in application For example - I were browsing with firefox and some site opens a background window with some sounds - and I have no idea where it comes from - Dock does not tell you if some application opens more than one window.. Only after I click the cmd.exe window does it comes back out. How do I mark a program as not eligible for the page file?   • Hard Drive Bad Sector marking utility

    I already have Windows XP, During installing Ubuntu(dual boot) the disk drive just stuck up at one place and doesn't seem to move ahead.. Is there a disk bad sector mark utility that just marks these sectors so that the disk doesn't seek them later. I tried running Seagate Seatools on the drive but both the short test and long test fail even before they start even chkdsk /f/r doesn't seem to work as the system locks up at stage four.
