    I'm using phpMyAdmin (PHP & MySQL) and I'm having a lot of trouble linking the tables using foreign keys. I'm getting negative values for the field countyId (which is the foriegn key). However, it is linking to my other table and cascading fine. When I go to add data there will be a drop selection for the CountyId and the values will look something like this: " -1 1- " Here is my alter statement: ALTER TABLE Baronies ADD FOREIGN KEY (CountyId) REFERENCES Counties (CountyId) ON DELETE CASCADE

  • How do I resize tables in Visio 2010?

    Create a Database Model Diagram Reverse Engineer a database (Database Tab, Reverse Engineer). Once the diagram is created, how do you resize the tables? I've tried: Enable Developer mode, Choose Protection, Choose None. When I do that, I'm given the impression that I should be able to resize a given table but I cannot actually do it. Enable Developer mode, right-click on a table, Choose Show ShapeSheet, Set all Lock values in the Protection section to 0.

    I was considering using Google Sites to host some webpages with HTML5 and JavaScript experiments I'm trying out, but it seems that they don't allow JavaScript. Does anybody have any good suggestions for a free web hosting service where I can upload simple HTML/CSS & JavaScript experiments? I don't have large bandwidth needs, nor do I need a WYSIWYG editor. Ideally I'd like to just upload the HTML, CSS, and JS files directly.

I don't mind spending a little money to have a professional do it, but design sites like 99designs.com cost way to much. (~$500+) Is there a cheaper (~$100 - $200) alternative for getting a designer to improve an existing site? (Things like updating the CCS or suggesting better ways for laying out the navigation.) Or is my best bet trying to pick up a freelancer on Craigslist?

  • Debugging a Broken Stylesheet: CSS Background Disappears when Scroll Off Bottom of Screen

    I recently worked on an existing project where we decided to add a background to the site. Whether this is a background color or background image, the same problem occured. The problem was that the background loaded fine in the screen. But when the user used the scrollbar to scroll below the bottom edge of the screen, the background immediately turned white.     We had a database crash this morning starting at 1 minute past midnight (when the database backup runs). The exception emails I was getting said "Table './core/content' is marked as crashed and should be repaired". My question is basically, can mysqldump cause tables to crash, if so how and why? And are there any tools which can detect a crashed table and run a repair on it? Thanks in advance.

In addition, if I had a large image that took up most of the top of the screen and resulting in my content being below the fold or toward the bottom of the screen, would that content be given less weight? Note This is content that occurs early on in my code. I'm not talking about having a ton of content and if the content that occurs later would be given less weight, but if content that occurs early on put ends up below the fold would be given less weight.

    Hi!! I'm facing an issue here. A customer asked me to copy an exact site, and even though I'm trying to convince him of going for a new design he does not accept it. He loves this design so much (on a side note it's horrible and outdated, but I wouldn't say that to him!) It's been a couple of weeks since we are discussing this and I don't know what to do. Do you have similar experiences? I don't want to lose the customer, he pays well and his jobs are really easy. At the same time, I don't want to put my signature on someone else's work.     An excel document with several pivot and lookup tables that previously worked under office xp and 2003 stopped working after an upgrade to office 2007 (linked stuff doesn't update). I originally assumed there's something disabled in 2007 that I need to turn back on, but after having opened it in excel 2007 it no longer works in previous versions either. Any idea what I'm missing/what excel 2007 did?
