  • How to deploy on a remote machine using hudson's WAS Builder Plugin?

    I have a hudson build server (Windows) that does not have Websphere installed. I created a Hudson node that I connect to via SSH. I also installed the WAS Builder Plugin to run jython scripts on the AIX machine. The job that uses the WAS Builder Plugin is tied to the AIX box. I run into errors. Does anybody know, whether that setup might work or if a different setup will work for the WAS Builder Plugin? In the plugin's documentation there's a section dedicated to pagination, although the demo example is not there, so i can't use it as a starting working point. Can someone point me in the right direction, I don't know how to go on solving this problem, the plugin seems to support pagination, so I'm hoping to achieve that.     Hi designers/developers, I am looking for a way of graphically showing a countdown. I am working for a large Hospital and have written an Ambulance page that shows ambulance arriving in a datagrid with the time of arriving at the hospital in minutes and seconds (plus other info). They have asked me for somehow visually representing the information, so it fits with there other visually appealing Emergency Department web application (e.g. progress bar or something better): 1) Can somebody show me (visually appealing) design examples on how this could be done 2) Are there solutions in .Net (ASP.net or JQuery or Javascript) since this is our preferred technology Thanks so much!

  • jQuery: ajax polling plugin alternative (instead of PeriodicalUpdater?)

    Hi, I'm trying to poll a script every few seconds. The script will return a timestamp, and if this timestamp is different from the previous (the first time is always true since it's comparing with nothing), then do something. Thing is PeriodicalUpdater seems to work fine for me. But I read that JSON.parse does not work in IE<8. I'm therefore hoping there's another alternative that would support more browsers out there? Is there another plugin that can do ajax polling? Thanks!

  • Jquery UI Slider focus issue

    I have a problem with the jQuery UI Slider. The issue also appears on the demo. It is more obvious in Chrome - if you go to http://jqueryui.com/demos/slider/#steps and slide the slider, you'll not see anything wrong. If you then click "New Window" or go to (http://jqueryui.com/demos/slider/steps.html) to view the demo in a new window and try sliding the slider, you'll see the handle of the slider gets a focus box around it during dragging. I am having this problem and I cannot seem to fix it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Basically, I am using best_in_place in my rails webapp to let users edit their profile info in place. The thing is, I would like users to be presented with a typeahead form for certain entries.. Here's what I'm working with: <p>College/University: <input type="text" class="span3" style="margin: 0 auto;" data-provide="typeahead" data-items="8" data-source='["University of Pennsylvania","Harvard","Yale","Princeton","Cornell","Brown","Columbia","Dartmouth"]'></p> This gives me a working form box with typeahead. However, I want to be able to wrap this in best_in_place with something like <%= best_in_place @student, :education %> so that users only see the typeahead form when they click on the text, and upon clicking away from the box or hitting enter the selection is stored in the database. Is there a reasonably easy way to do this?

I've managed to get the node being added by using the id of the particular node instead of the whole treeview in - appendTo("nodeID") However I can't get the tree to render correctly, either with: $("nodeID").treeview({ add: branches }); or $("browser").treeview({ add: branches }); or calling it on both without arguments. How can I prevent Rails from pluralizing the columns?     I'm trying to find out if anyone knows about an already existing jQuery plugin that will count up to a target number at a specified speed. For example, take a look at Google's number of MB of free storage on the Gmail homepage, under the heading that reads "Lots of space". It has a starting number in a <span> tag, and slowly counts upward every second. I'm looking for something similar, but I'd like to be able to specify: The start number The end number The amount of time it should take to get from start to end. A custom callback function that can execute when a counter is finished.

    I'm trying to enable the overlay to be modal. It works perfectly fine in FireFox, but the window object is behind the mask when it becomes modal. This prevents any interaction with it and the page is actually useless. I've tried debugging this for a while and can't figure it out.   • Can we generate multiple coverage reports using Hudson Emma plugin

    We run both unit (junit) and system (fit) tests on instrumented code in our build. The consolidated coverage report for both is generated as part of the build itself. We then feed the unit test coverage report to the Hudson Emma plugin, configure benchmark numbers and things work nicely. Is it possible to also feed in the system test coverage report separately to the same plugin so that we can get that report and configure benchmarks for that as well? I know there is a workaround of creating a downstream project for the latter activity but it would be good to be able to do both in the same build.

When you look for more detail you just get: "Server was unable to process request" and under detail you see "An unexpected error occurred." Not very helpful.
