  • Disable mobile textbox popup while taping on a textbox

    I have used Kendo UI Multiselect control and it is working fine. But I have one issue now that if I tap on a textbox for selecting different values then the default mobile textbox popup window come up which I want to prevent. I tried Readonly="true" but that will simply disable the function and not able to select any values from that. So I want to prevent this input window when I click on a textbox.

  • How to suppress Flash migration warnings (1090)

    I get "migration issue" warnings when I use mouse/keyboard input handler names such as onMouseDown, onKeyUp, etc. These names are perfectly legal, but sensibly, we are now warned that their use is no longer automatic in ActionScript 3. I want to suppress these warnings, but without suppressing all other warnings, which I find useful. E.g., when I use code like this: protected override function onMouseDown(e:MouseEvent):void { I get an annoying warning like this: Warning: 1090: Migration issue: The onMouseDown event handler is not triggered automatically by Flash Player at run time in ActionScript 3.0. You must first register this handler for the event using addEventListener ( 'mouseDown', callback_handler). There are flex compiler (mxmlc) flags which can suppress actionscript warnings, or all warnings, but I don't want that. That's to general. Ideally I could suppress a specific error/warning number (Warning #1090). Halp?

    Hiya. Ive read some answers here regarding muting swfloader volume but none of the examples would work in flex 4. I tried doinf the following: this._swfGame.source=url; this._swfGame.soundTransform = new SoundTransform(0.0); this would shut down the volume of the preloader, but when the game starts the volume is back to normal. i tried adding the following to the previous code: this._swfGame.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,this._configSwf); private function _configSwf(event:Event):void { this._swfGame.removeEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, _configSwf); var soundTransform:SoundTransform = new SoundTransform(0.0); // TODO: set proper volume this._swfGame.soundTransform = soundTransform; } but i got the same results. any ideas? thanks!

    hi i have a spark List control. it has a dataProvider that shows reply from twitter search. i have created a function for change handler like this: protected function list_changeHandler(event:IndexChangeEvent):void { ta.text = coverflow.selectedItem.title; } so, whenever i select each of the items in the List i will see the message(ta.text) but now, instead of me manually clicking the first time, i want it to automatically click/select the first item and see the first message(ta.text) how do i do it? ... newbie to flex ... :p

  • Actionscript/Flex - Is it possible to dynamically extend an object, modify functions, add functions

    I know this question might be frowned upon, but actionscript is a dynamic language similar to javascript and in javascript I can take an object from a library written by someone else and dynamically (at runtime) add/remove/modify functions, properties, prototypes etc. this is kind of like dynamically extending an object to make it work with the library it came with as well as another library. Is something like this possible in flex actionscript? I'm thinking it is only possible with classes that are declared 'dynamic' and definitely not possible with classes declared 'final'. What are your thoughts? Any ideas/tricks?

    I am looking for sample code to create a dynamic Tree control in Flex using a Collection of objects obtained from the backend(Perl cgi). So, initially the Tree will display the root nodes. Clicking root node, will invoke the data for populating the child nodes (basically adding child nodes on demand). Clicking child nodes will pull another collection add child nodes of child node. However, for certain cases client app is sending a request to a URL. We're using Annotated Controllers for URL mapping.     I'm using flash to draw objects, then I export them and use them from flex, and I'm a beginner in flash. I'm trying to do the override a method from the MovieClip I created. The method I'm trying to override is stop() method. I didn't write a single line of code, my movie clip is created using entirely the flash interface. I figured out how to add actions to the movie clip when a frame is reached but I'm stucked now when I'm trying to override a MovieClip method.

    I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding the binding in Flex. I'm using Cairngorm framework. I have the following component with code like: [Bindable] var _model:LalModelLocator = LalModelLocator.getInstance(); .... <s:DataGroup dataProvider="{_model.friendsSearchResults}" includeIn="find" itemRenderer="com.lal.renderers.SingleFriendDisplayRenderer"> <s:layout> <s:TileLayout orientation="columns" requestedColumnCount="2" /> </s:layout> </s:DataGroup> in the model locator: [Bindable] public var friendsSearchResults:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection(); Inside the item renderer there is a button that calls a command and inside the command results there is a line like this: model.friendsSearchResults = friendsSearchResults; Putting break points and stepping through the code I confirmed that this like gets called and the friendsSearchResults gets updated. To my understanding if I update a bindable variable it should automatically re-render the s:DataGroup which has a dataProvider of that variable.

  • How to access the Principal from a Java service object without using FlexContext?

    We're building some Java objects that are exposed via BlazeDS to our flex client application. So basically the BlazeDS messagebroker servlet instantiates and invokes methods on these objects in response to client requests. Works great. We're using app server-based authentication and have set up a security constraint on the <destination> elements in the remoting-config.xml file element to prevent unauthenticated clients from being able to access these remote java objects. Again, works fine. However, there are several places within the implementation of these java objects where we want to get the currently logged on user's username. Right now we are doing this via FlexContext.getUserPrincipal(), which gives access to this but we have a nagging concern that we don't like the idea that the implementation of these objects (the service layer) has a hard dependency on a BlazeDS class. But we're not sure how else to get access to this. The same applies to accessing the ServletContext and such. Any ideas?

  • What's the best JSF implementation?

    Hey everyone, I currently have a medium size Java web application sitting on top of Spring MVC. As much as I like (no sarcasm) coding straight HTML, CSS and JS, it's not possible for me to develop as fast as I'd like. I'm looking at different RAD frameworks to speed up my development. I'm looking at JSF implementations and component libraries, Flex, GWT and a few others. As of now, Apache MyFaces (with ICEFaces) seems to be the front runner in my mind, but I'm curious to find out what you all think of that specific implementation and if the Sun implementation is any better? What's important to me is something that is stable, has an active community and that it doesn't look like there is another technology in the near future that is going to eclipse JSF (which would drive me to use a different RAD framework). When i specify a rule, let's say : statement : T_CLASS T_IDENT '{' T_CLASS_MEMBERS '}' { // create a node for the statement ... } If i have a variation on the rule, for instance statement : T_CLASS T_IDENT T_EXTENDS T_IDENT_LIST '{' T_CLASS_MEMBERS '}' { // create a node for the statement ... } Where (from flex scanner rules) : "class" return T_CLASS; "extends" return T_EXTENDS; [a-zA-Z\_][a-zA-Z0-9\_]* return T_IDENT; (and T_IDENT_LIST is a rule for comma separated identifiers). Is there any way to specify all of this only in one rule, setting somehow the "T_EXTENDS T_IDENT_LIST" as optional? I've already tried with T_CLASS T_IDENT (T_EXTENDS T_IDENT_LIST)?     Basically i want to create XMLDesigner kind of thing in Flex, using which user can add/edit components and properties of view/dashboard. i am storing view structure in a xml file. i parsed that file at runtime and display view. How to convert an object (having properties and sub-objects) to xml node (having attributes and elements) and add that xml to the existing xml file. so that next time when i parsed xml file i'll get that new component in my view/dashboard. for e.g, object structure of component in xml file : <view id="productView" label="Products"> <panel id="chartPanel" type="CHART" ChartType="Pie2D" title="Productwise Sales" x="215" y="80" width="425" height="240" showValues="0" > </panel> </view> Thanks in Advance.

  • Sharing memory among YACC, Lex, and C files

    I have a YACC (Bison) grammar, a Lex (Flex) tokenizer, and a C program among which I need to share a struct (or really any variable). Currently, I declare the actual object in the grammar file and extern it wherever I need it (which is to say, my C source file), usually using a pointer to manipulate it. I have a shared header (and implementation) file between the C file and the grammar file with functions useful for manipulating my data structure. This works, but it feels a little uncomfortable. Is there a better way to share memory between the grammar and program?
