    I need to match two cases js/example_directory/example_name.js and js/example_directory/example_name.js?12345 (where 12345 is a digit string of unknown length and the directory can be limitless in depth or not exist at all) I need to capture in both cases everything between js/ and .js and if ? exists capture the digit string after ? This is what I have so far ^js/(.*).js\??(\d+)? This works except it also captures js/example_directory/example_name.js12345 I want the regex to ignore that. Any suggestions? Thank you all!   • Help me plan larger Qt project

    I'm trying to create an automated task management system for our company, because they pay me to waste my time. New users will create a "profile", which will store all the working data (I guess serialize everything into xml rite?). A "profile" will contain many different tasks. Tasks are basically just standard computer janitor crap such as moving around files, reading/writing to databases, pinging servers, etc.). So as you can see, a task has many different jobs they do, and also that tasks should run indefinitely as long as the user somehow generates "jobs" for them. There should also be a way to enable/disable (start/pause) tasks. They say create the UI first so... I figure the best way to represent this is with a list-view widget, that lists all the tasks in the profile. Enabled tasks will be bold, disabled will be then when you double-click a task, a tab in the main view opens with all the settings, output, errors,. You can right click a task in the list-view to enable/disable/etc. So each task will be a closable tab, but when you close it just hides. My question is: should I extend from QAction and QTabWidget so I can easily drop tasks in and out of my list-view and tab bar? I'm thinking some way to make this plugin-based, since a lot of the plugins may share similar settings (like some of the same options, but different infos are input). Also, what's the best way to set up threading for this application?

  • Help with proper character encoding.

    I have a HTML form that is sometimes submitted with accented characters: à, è, ì, ò, ù I have a PHP script that exports these form submissions into CSV format, when I look at the CSV format in a text editor (vim or notepad for example) the characters look fine, but when opened with Open Office or Word, I get some funky results: ????? I am also passing these submission to salesforce and am getting an error: "The entity "Atilde" was referenced, but not declared." What can I do to ensure portability of my CSV file? What's the proper way to handle the encoding? My HTML file is content-type is set as: Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Data is being stored in MySQL as latin1_swedish_ci collation.

  • Help regarding database and logic layer for my ASP.NET MVC application

    I'm going to start a new project which is going to be small initially but may grow to big over the years. I'm strongly convinced that I'm going to use ASP.NET MVC with jQuery for UI. I want to go for MySQL as database for some reasons but worried on few things. I've a good years of experience working on SQL Server databases and on one project I've had a bad experience creating and managing stored procedures on MySQL database. I'm totally new to Linq but I see that it is easier to use once you are familiar with it. First thing is that accessing data should be easy. So I thought I should use MySQL to Linq but somewhere I read that it is not directly supported but MySQL .NET connector adds support for EntityFramework. I don't know what are the pros and cons of it. I would love if I can implement repository pattern. Will it be possible if I use Entity Framework? I'm not clear on how I should go about all this or I should just forget every thing and directly use SQL to Linq on SQL Server. I'm also concerned about the performance. Someone told me that if we use Entity framework it fetches lot of data and then filter it. Is that right?

    Hi, i have two tables category and hotels where category.id should be equal to hotels.catid. Now how do i select 3 rows from each different category from the hotels table. I have this query: select h.* from hotels h inner join category c on h.catid = c.id order by h.catid, h.hid this selects all records, but i want to select three rows per different category so in all it should return 9 rows with 3 rows for each category. If this can not be done in mysql, you could also suggest php code please. Thanks

    I'm trying to remove the unsightly embedded <STYLE> tag the built-in Recent Comments widget puts in my <HEAD>, but I can't seem to get the syntax right. It originally calls add_action( 'wp_head', array(&$this, 'recent_comments_style') ); to add it (in wp-includes/default-widgets.php, line 609), and I'm trying to undo it. I think it should be something like this: remove_action('wp_head', 'WP_Widget_Recent_Comments::recent_comments_style'); but with all the variations I've tried I still can't get it right.   • Help with IE bugs when writing JSON via an ASPX response

    I have an ASPX page that I am using to write JSON. It works great in Firefox and Chrome, but when I try and use it in IE 8 it gives me an "The XML page cannot be displayed" error instead of allowing jQuery to load the JSON being written by the response. Any ideas?   • Help dealing with data dependency between two registration forms

    I have a tricky issue here with a registration of both a user and his/her pet. Both the user and the pet are treated as separate entities and both require separate registration forms. However, the user's pet has to be linked to the user via a foreign key in the database. The process is basically that when a new user joins the site, firstly they register their pet, then they register themselves. The reason for this order is to check their pet's eligibility for the site (there are some criteria to be met) first, instead of getting the user to sign up only to then find out their pet is ineligible. It is this ordering of the form submissions which is causing me a bit of a headache, as follows... The site is being developed with an MVC framework, and the User registration process is managed via a method in a User_form controller, while the pet registration process is managed via a method in the Pet_form controller. The pet registration form happens first, and the pet data can be saved without the owner_id at this stage, with the user id possibly being added (e.g by retrieving pet's id from session) following user registration. However, doing it this way could potentially result in redundant data, where pet records would be created in the database, but if the user doesn't actually register themselves too, then the pets will be ownerless records in the DB. Other option is to serialize the new pet's data at the pet registration stage, don't save it to the DB until the user fills out their registration form. Once the user is created, i can pass serialised data AND the owner_id to a method in the Pet Model which can update the DB. However, I also need to set the newly created $pet to $this-pet which I then access for a sequence of other related forms. Should I just set the session variable in the model method? Then in the Pet controller constructor, do a check for pet stored in session, if yes, assign to $this-pet... If this makes any sense to anybody and you have some advice, i'd be grateful to hear it!

    i want to have an alias "t" to enter a folder and list the content there. i tried with: alias t="cd $1; ls -la" but it just listed the folder i typed but did not enter it. i wonder why? cause when i use this one: alias b="cd ..; ls" it went back to the parent and listed the content. so i want the "t" do enter the folder i type in too. someone knows how to do this right?

    I’m not too familiar with webpage design and am having a problem. I have the following datalist which is displayed ok but it is the section near the bottom that I am having with. I want the Hyperlink image to be on the same line as the “Details” text. Unfortunately the text appears below the Hyperlink control. Is there an easy fix to get what I want ?   • Help with regex pulling XML data from response body in PHP

    I am working on a project that pulls data from JMS queue using PHP and Zend Framework. The HTTP client response is below. All I need is the XML string. I came up with /(.*)<\/RequestDetails/gs which tests ok on http://gskinner.com/RegExr/ but the preg_match call is returning an empty matches array. I'm going to continue to hunt around for a pattern, but thought I would post here as well. Thanks to all who read, etc... Steve UPDATE: I can't get the code to paste correctly.     Hi all, I'm trying to use JNA to talk over a USB device plugged into the computer. Using Java and a .dll that was provided to me. The close requires the NativeLong handle, so i am assuming that the CANMsg msg is the issue here. I have also confirmed that the device works when tested with C only code. I have read the the JNA documentation thoroughly... I think. Any pointers. Thanks all.

    I have an xml node that looks like <slot highcount="20" lowcount="10" /> I've tried the following xpath expression: XmlNode node = xdoc.SelectSingleNode("slot[@lowcount>=12] && slot[@highcount <=12]"); but I get an invalid token error and I don't have enough experience with this to know what I'm doing wrong. Any ideas?
