• Trying to programmatically add a SQL Alias to the registry (just need help with parameters)

  Normally when we spin up a new instance we need to add an alias on one of our boxes so we can easily connect to it through SSMS using SQL Server Configuration Manager. I have written a batch file which adds the appropriate entry into the registry (it is actually two batch files, one for 32 bit and one for 64 bit). I am not sure how to get this to run with parameters though. I know %1 and %2 would be for the first two parameters, but when I run this, in the registry it actually puts %1 and %2 as the value pair. if you hardcode hostname and IP Address in place of %1 and %2 the batch file works as expected: REGEDIT4 ; @ECHO OFF ; CLS ; REGEDIT.EXE /S "%~f0" ; EXIT [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\Client\ConnectTo] "%1"="DBMSSOCN,%2,1433"

• Help need for openfast implementation

  Our stock exchange going to implement FAST messaging in their system in order to reduced the bandwidth usage. We have already implement the FIX based application to trade with Stock exchange. In future we need implement FIX FAST in our application to communicate with them. I found that OPEN FAST is FAST based library. But I do not have any idea how to start with it. I went through OpenFast web site but could not find much support on how to use templates and dictionaries. Can some one guide me or provide some resources to start with? Thanks in advance.

• Help with IE bugs when writing JSON via an ASPX response

  I have an ASPX page that I am using to write JSON. It works great in Firefox and Chrome, but when I try and use it in IE 8 it gives me an "The XML page cannot be displayed" error instead of allowing jQuery to load the JSON being written by the response. Any ideas? • [WordPress] Need help with remove_action()

  I'm trying to remove the unsightly embedded <STYLE> tag the built-in Recent Comments widget puts in my <HEAD>, but I can't seem to get the syntax right. It originally calls add_action( 'wp_head', array(&$this, 'recent_comments_style') ); to add it (in wp-includes/default-widgets.php, line 609), and I'm trying to undo it. I think it should be something like this: remove_action('wp_head', 'WP_Widget_Recent_Comments::recent_comments_style'); but with all the variations I've tried I still can't get it right. • Help needed to align controls in a webpage

  I’m not too familiar with webpage design and am having a problem. I have the following datalist which is displayed ok but it is the section near the bottom that I am having with. I want the Hyperlink image to be on the same line as the “Details” text. Unfortunately the text appears below the Hyperlink control. Is there an easy fix to get what I want ?   I have a HTML form that is sometimes submitted with accented characters: à, è, ì, ò, ù I have a PHP script that exports these form submissions into CSV format, when I look at the CSV format in a text editor (vim or notepad for example) the characters look fine, but when opened with Open Office or Word, I get some funky results: ????? I am also passing these submission to salesforce and am getting an error: "The entity "Atilde" was referenced, but not declared." What can I do to ensure portability of my CSV file? What's the proper way to handle the encoding? My HTML file is content-type is set as: Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Data is being stored in MySQL as latin1_swedish_ci collation.

  Hi all, I'm trying to use JNA to talk over a USB device plugged into the computer. Using Java and a .dll that was provided to me. • Help with regex pulling XML data from response body in PHP

  I am working on a project that pulls data from JMS queue using PHP and Zend Framework. The HTTP client response is below. All I need is the XML string. I came up with /(.*)<\/RequestDetails/gs which tests ok on http://gskinner.com/RegExr/ but the preg_match call is returning an empty matches array.   i want to have an alias "t" to enter a folder and list the content there. i tried with: alias t="cd $1; ls -la" but it just listed the folder i typed but did not enter it. i wonder why? cause when i use this one: alias b="cd ..; ls" it went back to the parent and listed the content. so i want the "t" do enter the folder i type in too. someone knows how to do this right?
