• Can't get ScrollTo to work with keyboard arrows

  I'm trying to setup the Jquery plugin SerialScroll with Ariel's added keyboard controls. I'm calling these three JS files: serialScroll.js scrollTo.js keyboard.js (the keyboard control snippet) Html I'm trying to manipulate. Want it to jump from ind-photo to ind-photo on arrow left and right. <div id="photos"> <div class="ind-photo"><img src="2.jpg" /></div> <div class="ind-photo"><img src="3.jpg" /></div> </div> I can't get it to work at all. I know there are likely slight things that are going to be off, but this isn't working at all. Thanks in advance.

• Is there simple way to play an rtp video/audio stream in WPF?

  I need to create a WPF control that will play an rtp stream with the requirement that the latency needs to be as low as possible. I've looked at the following two projects: http://vlcdotnet.codeplex.com/ http://wpfmediakit.codeplex.com/ As far as I know, I can't use VLC because we're shipping a commercial application with a more restrictive license than GPL (i.e. we can't ship our source). Wpf media kit is nice, but I can't seem to find a good/free rtp directshow source filter and I wanted to ask if there is a simpler solution out there that I'm missing before I jump into writing my own. Any ideas?

I'm starting to work on a project involving industrial handheld terminals. I'm early into the design phase and need to find a comparison of Windows CE and Windows Mobile. Many of the people I'll be talking to jump on the first option that sounds "good enough". I want my first suggestion to be the best based on their needs.   Hi, I wrote some C++ code in which I used Templates. Since I used templates, I could not initialize a couple of template class variables. I got an warning message from valgrind saying Conditional jump or move depends on uninitialized value(s). So is there a way to get around this and/or initialize template variables?? I couldn't think of a way to do it because even if I initailize them as NULL, when I use string data type a run time failure occurres. Thank You!

  Hello everybody, I have a question on the Android Activity, for example I have a TabHost, and there are included four Activities, the first tab is a search Activity, enter a keyword in the current result of this Activity to return, and in the current Activity display. Is called to display the search results themselves. And after searching several times, and then return to key mobile phone keypad, the display is the result of the last search keyword, I want the press back key to return to the last call of the Activity or TabHost. • Android 2.1 address bar causes change in viewport dimensions

  Hi, I have a page that has a 100% width and height div in it (all surrounding elements are sized accordingly so that it does actually achieve 100% width and height). Below that div I have a second div with a fixed height. In mobile safari and blackberry everything is fine, when the page loads the dimensions are applied correctly (the top div filling the viewport) and the user can scroll down to reveal the second div. Android 2.1 also applies the dimensions correctly, but with an added quirk; when the user scrolls down and removes the address bar from the page, the dimensions of the div are recalculated to fill the viewport, causing the content to jump. Ideally I would like the dimensions of the div to remain static when the page is scrolled, but remain 100% so that it will fill the viewport regardless of device size or orientation. Does anyone know of any way to disable this recalculation? Thanks for any help you can provide.

  Hello, I want to know if it is possible to end a for loop in C++ when an ending condition (different from the reacheing right number of iterations) is verified. For instance: for (int i = 0; i < maxi; ++i) for (int j = 0; j < maxj; ++j) // But if i == 4 < maxi AND j == 3 < maxj, // then jump out of the two nested loops. I know that this is possible in Perl with the next LABEL or last LABEL calls and labeled blocks, is it possible to do it in C++ or I should use a while loop? Thank you.

• Visual Studio 2008 Navigate Forewards/Backwards Buttons Don't Work As Expected

  I just installed VS2008 on my new Win7 box. I have Navigate Backwards and Navigate Forwards buttons on my tool bar. When I change between documents, I do NOT see a list drop down for each of the buttons like should be seen here after opening multiple documents and switching between their methods: How it should work. Instead, I just see the buttons without drop downs. I find that navigating forwards and backwards doesn't work as it should. I should be able to click in different lines of the code and press the nav back/forwards buttons to jump between lines. This is not the case. Any suggestions? Thanks in advanced. PS - I installed SP1 just to see and nothing changed.

  Hi, I am trying to parse a valid xaml file using the XamlXmlReader. It looks like it is 'skipping' some elements when when Read() is called. for example on the following xaml snippet: <UserControl.Resources> <Converters:AnyDbTypeToDisplayNameConverter x:Key="anyDbTypeToDisplayNameConverter" /> </UserControl.Resources> when reading I first get a XamlNodeType.StartObject on UserControl.Resources - makes sense then another XamlNodeType.StartObject on Converters - also cool. but then i do not get a XamlNodeType.EndObject on the Converters and immediately jump to the next line and does not report a XamlNodeType.StartObject. Any Idea if this is working as design ? looks like a bug to me

• jQuery wait for ajax call to be over before continuing

  Hi all, I have a problem with a jQuery ajax call. I need to wait for the call to be finished in order to return a value. However, the script seems to jump ahead and not wait for the call to be over. my function then returns "undefined". I have tried to use the .ajax() method and set the value of async to false, but this would not work either. I could I get my function to return the value that I could through the ajax call? • MySQL Locks: order of unblocked threads

  I have a MySQL ISAM table being accessed my multiple php instances. Right now I'm using a WRITE lock to serialize access to this table. My question is how do I ensure that the PHP instances get served on a First-Come-First-Serve basis? Or is this the default behaviour? The official MySQL documentation doesn't mention anything about the blocked thread order for threads of the same lock type (ie multiple threads attempting a WRITE LOCK). It only mentions that a WRITER will jump to the front of the waiting queue if READERS are waiting.

I am wondering if there is another tool out there that does just that - allows to jump to Reflector from the source code in VS and which is totally free.   Hi, I have tomcat running on 8080 on a ubuntu lucid server. I am able to access it fro local machine. However I am unable to access the tomcat from any machine outside. Is it due to firewall restrictions. WHat do I need to do to enable accessing tomcat from remote machines.   I have the following set of controls. Scenario 1: If you select one of the first 3 radio buttons and click enter, focus will jump to the Passport Number text box. If the user selects "Other", the "Other, Please Specify" textbox is enabled and, for convenience, screen focus (the cursor is moved) to that textbox. Scenario 2: The "specify Other" text box is hidden until the user clicks on the Other Radio button. Upon doing so, the textbox is made visible and the cursor is placed in this textbox. Which scenario do you feel is a better approach? Perhaps you have another variation? Please state your reasoning. I would also appreciate it if you could make a generalized statement as to when hiding is better than disabling or vice versa, but I am also interested in this particular example. Thanks. Afetrthought: Perhaps, in the 2nd example, the "Please Specify" text would only appear after the user has selected the 'Other' radio button.

• Any recommended VC++ settings for better PDB analysis on release builds

  Are there any VC++ settings I should know about to generate better PDB files that contain more information? I have a crash dump analysis system in place based on the project crashrpt. Also, my production build server has the source code installed on the D:\, but my development machine has the source code on the C:\. I entered the source path in the VC++ settings, but when looking through the call stack of a crash, it doesn't automatically jump to my source code. I believe if I had my dev machine's source code on the D:\ it would work.

  ok i have another question ! (god! i have so many questions) i have an application and a user must log-in before he/she can access pages. now once the user logs in i keep the user details in a session variable (say Session["CurrentUser"]). now if a user tries to jump to a page directly i will check if the Session["CurrentUser"] has a value or not...if not then the user will be directed to the login page... my problem is that i have done this or rather say written this "Checking Code" on almost all the pages. what i want is this code to stay on a particular location and i will just access that method all the time on all the pages...now where should i write this method ?? thank you.
