    I have a shared object ( libxyz.so ). Given LD_LIBRARY_PATH, how can find the exact location of this shared object? If i had a binary that depends on this lib, i would have used ldd on that. Here is the reason why i ask: I have a cgi script which works when using LD_LIBRARY_PATH set to say VALUE1. It does not work when the path is set to VALUE2. I would like to find the exact location of the library as specified by the path in VALUE1 ( Note that VALUE1 has almost 20+ different locations ) Platform: Linux

  • Modify an object without using it as parameter

    I have a global object "X" and a class "A". I need a function F in A which have the ability to modify the content of X. For some reason, X cannot be a data member of A (but A can contain some member Y as reference of X), and also, F cannot have any parameter, so I cannot pass X as an parameter into F. (Here A is an dialog and F is a slot without any parameter, such as accept() ) How can I modify X within F if I cannot pass X into it? Is there any way to let A know that "X" is the object it need to modify?? I try to add something such as SetItem to specify X in A, but failed.

    Hi, I have had a bit of a look around and am having some difficulty solving a wee issue I am having. I basically have a string of HTML, I convert that to a JQuery DOM object so that I can easily remove all elements that have a certain class using JQuery's .remove(). I.e., var radHtml = editor.get_html(); var jqDom = $(radHtml); $(".thickbox", jqDom).remove(); $(".thickboxcontent", jqDom).remove(); editor.set_html(this.innerHTML); NOTE: The HTML is derived from content in a RADEditor text editor so there are no parent HTML tags, so can look as follows: <p>This is a header</p> <p>this is some content followed by a table </p> <a href="#TB_inline?height=350&amp;width=400&amp;inlineId=myOnPageContent0" class="thickbox">Test Thickbox</a> <div id="myOnPageContent0" class="thickboxcontent"> <table class="modal"> <thead> </thead> <tbody> <tr> <td>item</td> <td>result</td> </tr> <tr> <td>item 1</td> <td>1</td> </tr> <tr> <td>item 2</td> <td>2</td> </tr> <tr> <td>item 3</td> <td>3</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </div> Here is what the jqDom.html() returns from the HTML above: "This is a header" I was wondering if there was an easy way to do this - have some html and remove all elements (in this case divs) that have a certain class (but leaving their contents). JQuery doesnt have to used, but I would like to. Manipulating the DOM object is fine - it is getting the full DOM object in its entirety as a string that I am having the problem with.     I have a one-to-one relationship in my database, and I'd like to just combine that into one object in Fluent NHibernate. The specific tables I am talking about are the aspnet_Users and aspnet_Membership tables from the default ASP.NET Membership implementation. I'd like to combine those into one simple User object and only get the fields I want. I would also like to make this read-only, as I want to use the built-in ASP.NET Membership API to modify. I simply want to take advantage of lazy-loading. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    I have an object that is being sent across WCF that is essentially a property holder - it can potentially have a large number of properties, i.e. up to 100, but in general only a small subset will be set, up to 10 for instance. Example: [DataContract(Namespace = "...")] public class Monkey { [DataMember] public string Arms { get; set; } [DataMember] public string Legs { get; set; } [DataMember] public string Heads { get; set; } [DataMember] public string Feet { get; set; } [DataMember] public string Bodies { get; set; } /* repeat another X times */ } Is there a way to tell WCF to only send the populated properties over the wire? It seems like a potential waste of bandwidth to send over the full object.

  • B64 String Being Stripped From HttpService JSON Object Flex 4.0

    I am trying to decode some b64 images obtained from a web service in my Flex application. The response of this web service is a basic JSON object, with a property (B64Image) that contains the encoded string. The service works fine from my regular browser, however the b64 string gets stripped. So the object the result handler gets has a null value for B64Image. Anyone see something wrong here?   • Ruby Programming Techniques: simple yet not so simple object manipulation

    Hi, I want to create an object, let's say a Pie. class Pie def initialize(name, flavor) @name = name @flavor = flavor end end But a Pie can be divided in 8 pieces, a half or just a whole Pie. For the sake of argument, I would like to know how I could give each Pie object a price per 1/8, 1/4 or per whole. I could do this by doing: class Pie def initialize(name, flavor, price_all, price_half, price_piece) @name = name @flavor = flavor @price_all = price_all @price_half = price_half @price_piece = price_piece end end But now, if I would create fifteen Pie objects, and I would take out randomly some pieces somewhere by using a method such as getPieceOfPie(pie_name) How would I be able to generate the value of all the available pies that are whole and the remaining pieces? Eventually using a method such as: myCurrentInventoryHas(pie_name) # output: 2 whole strawberry pies and 7 pieces. I know, I am a Ruby nuby. Thank you for your answers, comments and help!

  • Getting "Object is read only" error when setting ClientCredentials in WCF

    I have a proxy object generated by Visual Studio (client side) named ServerClient. I am attempting to set ClientCredentials.UserName.UserName/Password before opening up a new connection using this code: InstanceContext context = new InstanceContext(this); m_client = new ServerClient(context); m_client.ClientCredentials.UserName.UserName = "Sample"; As soon as the code hits the UserName line it fails with an "Object is read-only" error. I know this can happen if the connection is already open or faulted, but at this point I haven't called context.Open() yet. I have configured the Bindings (which uses netTcpBinding) to use Message as it's security mode, and MessageClientCredentialType is set to UserName. Any ideas?

    I have a question regarding setting up a custom delegate class for use with UITableView. What I have done is as follows: Setup a new class (in sperate *.h and *.m files for the class) Conformed that new class to the <UITableViewDelegate, UITableViewDataSource> protocols Added the required methods. Created a pointer to the new object using @property and IBOutlet. In InterfaceBuilder created and assigned an object template to my new class Assigned the dataSource and delegate connections. This all works fine. My question is if I don't want to use interfaceBuilder to setup and instantiate my new delegate class directly in Xcode how do I go about doing that? More specifically how would I: Instantiate the delegate class, would that be created / owned by the controller? Set the dataSource and delegate connections? What is the best way of doing this? any help / information is much appreciated. Gary

    Basically i want to create XMLDesigner kind of thing in Flex, using which user can add/edit components and properties of view/dashboard. i am storing view structure in a xml file. i parsed that file at runtime and display view. How to convert an object (having properties and sub-objects) to xml node (having attributes and elements) and add that xml to the existing xml file. so that next time when i parsed xml file i'll get that new component in my view/dashboard. for e.g, object structure of component in xml file : <view id="productView" label="Products"> <panel id="chartPanel" type="CHART" ChartType="Pie2D" title="Productwise Sales" x="215" y="80" width="425" height="240" showValues="0" > </panel> </view> Thanks in Advance.

    In my project I have a database class that I use to handle all the MySQL stuff. It connects to a database, runs queries, catches errors and closes the connection. Now I need to create a members area on my site, and I was going to build a users class that would handle registration, logging in, password/username changes/resets and logging out. In this users class I need to use MySQL for obvious reasons... which is what my database class was made for. But I'm confused as to how I would use my database class in my users class. Would I want to create a new database object for my user class and then have it close whenever a method in that class is finished? Or do I somehow make a 'global' database class that can be used throughout my entire script (if this is the case I need help with that, no idea what to do there.) Thanks for any feedback you can give me.

Let's say I have an object with names as keys, and each key has an array of numbers like this: var userdata = { 'John' : [0, 1, 3, 9, 8, 7], 'Harry': [0, 10, 7, 1, 1, 11], 'Steve': [3, 1, 4, 4, 4, 17], 'Adam' : [4, 77, 2, 13, 11, 13] }; For each user, I would like to append an SVG object and then plot the line with the array of values for that user. So here is my assumption of how that would look based on tutorials, but I know it is incorrect. This is to show my limited knowledge and give better understanding of what I'm doing: First I should create the line var line = d3.svg.line().interpolate('basis'); Then I want to bind the data to my body and append an svg element for each key: d3.select('body') .selectAll('svg') .data(userdata) .enter() .append('svg') .append(line) .x(function(d, i) { return i; }) .y(function(d) { return d[i]; }); So am I close??

  • Keep an object for the time the connection is running in ASP.NET

    Hi, I'm developing a web service with ASP.NET, is not an .asmx or WCF, it's a custom one, so I'm working with the Http classes (context, request, response, etc..). Session is disabled. I'm working with my own handler and module. I'd like to keep a object alive and accessible for the time the connection is alive. I mean, a request enters, I assign a DbCommand to it and that connection will use that command as long is doing things, when that connection is ended, the object should be disposed. I've thought, that I can add it to my IPrincipal implementation, then when the connection is authenticated in the module and the user retrieved, I can add that DbCommand to the IPrincipal, so I can retrieve it from wherever I want in the code, and after in the module EndRequest event, I can dispose it, but I don't know if there is a better approach to do this. What do you think? cheers

I have no problem receiving: [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public ActionResult Create(Thing Thing, List<string> Categories) However I am wondering whether I could use a custom Model binder to use just this: [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public ActionResult Create(Thing Thing) So basically I am looking for a way to use the model binder to bootstrap the object tree/graph.     -I am trying to create a shared object libfoo.so. libfoo.so is created from "foo.c" - Assume that I include headers "static.h" and "Dynamic.h" where in I want the compiler to resolve the symbols for Static.h and leave the rest ie from Dynamic.h for runtime. - How do i do this ? What are the CFLAG and LDFLAG options that I need to pass. - My makefile is setup to create a shared object using the CFLAGS=fPIC , shared , W1,export-dynamic. - In the include paths i Specify the correct location for "Static.h" Can someone help me ?
