  • Getting a list of all phone contacts?

    Simple enough question. I need to know the best way to get the same list of contacts that show up when a user presses the Contacts button. You would think something like this would work: //For Contacts Intent pickIntent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_PICK, People.CONTENT_URI); this.startActivityForResult(pickIntent, RESULT); //For Phones Intent pickIntent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_PICK, Phones.CONTENT_URI); this.startActivityForResult(pickIntent, RESULT); The problem is that does not include secondary google accounts or Exchange contacts. By secondary accounts, in Android you can add additional gmail accounts to have the mail/contacts synced. The above intent will not list those additional contacts. I am also told that on the HTC Desire you can add contacts to the phone that do not get synced up to Google. These contacts also do not show up. So how do I get a real list of contacts so I can create my own list activity that works properly where the Google intent does not.

  • Ttstyledtextlabel does not draw properly when text property is assigned multiple times

    I have A ttstyledtextlabel in my uitableview cell. It has got some web URLs for images which are being rendered. But since images take some time to download i reload the cell after sometime to render the images if they have been downloaded. The problem I am facing is that during subsequent assignment of text if the size of the label changes, happens when images have been successfully loaded the label does not render properly but rather blanks out. But I see the proper label when is scroll and come back to the cell again. Anyone faced this issue or simply when the following line is executed multiple times, the Styled Label goes blank StyledView.text = [TTStyledText textFromXHTML:[self getStyledText] lineBreaks:YES URLs:YES];

  • Python check if object is in list of objects

    Hi, I have a list of objects in Python. I then have another list of objects. I want to go through the first list and see if any items appear in the second list. I thought I could simply do for item1 in list1: for item2 in list2: if item1 == item2: print "item %s in both lists" However this does not seem to work. Although if I do: if item1.title == item2.title: it works okay. I have more attributes than this though so don't really want to do 1 big if statement comparing all the attributes if I don't have to. Can anyone give me help or advise on what I can do to find the objects which appear in both lists. Thanks

    I'm converting an application from the .Net framework to Qt using C++. The application makes extensive use of regular expression unicode properties, i.e. \p{L}, \p{M}, etc. I've just discovered that the QRegExp class lacks support for this among other things (lookbehinds, etc.) Can anyone recommend a C++ regular expression library that: Supports unicode properties Is unicode-aware in other respects (i.e. \w matches more than ASCII word characters) As a bonus, supports lookbehinds. Please don't point me to the wikipedia article; I don't trust it. That article says that QRegExp supports unicode properties. Unless I'm really doing something wrong, it doesn't. I'm looking for someone actually using unicode properties with a regex library in a project.

    I have Hibernate 3.6.0.Final and Spring 3.0.0.RELEASE I get "No Hibernate Session bound to thread, and configuration does not allow creation of non-transactional one here" If I add the thread specification back in, I get "saveOrUpdate is not valid without active transaction" Any ideas?   • Class with property referenced with dll not serializing

    Hey guys, I got this class TapiCall. It has 4 properties : 2 datetimes, 1 string and an object. The object is a class that's referenced by Atapi3.dll, so i cannot alter it. My class TapiCall looks like this : [DataContract] public class TapiCall { private DateTime start, end; private TCall call; private string status; [DataMember] public string Status { get { return status; } set { status = value; } } [DataMember] public TCall Call { get { return call; } set { call = value; } } [DataMember] public DateTime End { get { return end; } set { end = value; } } [DataMember] public DateTime Start { get { return start; } set { start = value; } } public TapiCall() { } public TapiCall(DateTime start, DateTime end, TCall call) { this.Start = start; this.End = end; this.Call = call; } } Now when i use my visual studio command line, to generate my proxy class, it generates an error. When i remove TapiCall from the method in my app, i can rebuild my proxy again, so i know [OperationContract] void StuurUpdatedCall(TapiCall tpCall); is causing the problem. My question now is can i Serialize a class that's referenced by a dll? Thanks in advance.

    I can initialize a List like new List{1,2,3,4,5}; However List does not have a constructor which accepts a single parameter. So I tried to run this through the debugger and it seems to be calling the Add method. So how does the compiler know which method to invoke to add each individual element. This may be a silly question but I am a bit confused. Thanks

My problem is, when I have a list near the top of the blog it is sometimes included in the preview, however the end list tag usually never is. So how can I check the $preview variable for a starting list tag, and if it is found, check for an ending tag and if it's not there add one.     I'm using MooTools 1.4.5 and I want to change cursor before calling function that takes some time and after finished same function set cursor to default. I was not successful. After that I made simple example to change background color via plain JavaScript (no jQuery or MooTools plugin) and again I was not successful. I assumed that the background color will bi set to red and after delay to yellow. It doesn't work. When page is loaded background color is yellow (last line). If I insert alert function in a middle of lines where sets background color everything works fine (background color is red, click to message box, background color is yellow). Why it works so? Only last changing style is affected. I need something like that to change pointer before calling function that takes 10 seconds and setting cursor to default value after function is done.

    I'm trying to map my skills and responsibilities profile sections to one of the custom properties in Active Directory (extensionattribute1 , 2, etc). I'm entering comma seperated values in AD and it's importing the values fine but sees the comma seperated values as one value on import. i.e. 'C#,asp.net,javascript' rather than 'C#', 'asp.net', 'Javascript'. Any ideas. I'm almost there it's just not spliting the values correctly on import. thanks in Advance

    Hi, I have some problems understanding the linear linked list data structure. This is how I define a list element: class Node{ Object data; Node link; public Node(Object pData, Node pLink){ this.data = pData; this.link = pLink; } } To keep it simple we say that a list are linked nodes so we do not need to define a class list (recursion principle). My problem is that I am really confused in understanding how nodes are connected, more precisely the sequence of the nodes when we connect them. Node n1 = new Node(new Integer(2), null); Node n2 = new Node(new Integer(1), n1); What is link? Is it the previous or the next element? Any other suggestions to help me understanding this data structure?

What I want is that, when an item selected in the "category" list, everything in the "items" list from that category is also selected.     Hello, I am experimenting with jQuery lately, and I was wondering if it's possible with js or pure jquery to reorder <li> elements. So if I have a silly list like the following: <ul> <li>Foo</li> <li>Bar</li> <li>Cheese</li> </ul> How would I move the list elements around? Like put the list element with Cheese before the list element with Foo or move Foo to after Bar. So is it possible? If so, how? Thanks!!

How can i remove items from the list, in some simple way, without saving indexes of these items in another list or array, and removing them in another place in the code. Tried also RemoveAt(index) but it's exactly the same situation, modifying when loop runs.
