  Hi all, I am using jasper reports - ireports. i need to create a subreport. i have a Master Reports-- which holds the subreport1 and subreport 2. Subreport 1 and 2 will have individual tables in its details band. So, while compiling master report through java class by filling it with custom datasource it has to print a single page with two table.. this is my task !! i need some more guidance to implement this ? i didnt get much tutorial for it to implement.   So I have a little bit of a problem. I working on a project in C# using The StackOveflow API. You can send it a request like so: http://stackoverflow.com/users/rep/126196/2010-01-01/2010-03-13 And get back something like this JSON response: [{"PostUrl":"1167342", "PostTitle":"Are ref and out in C# the same a pointers in C++?", "Rep":10}, {"PostUrl":"1290595", "PostTitle":"Where can I find a good tutorial on bubbling?", "Rep":10} ... So my problem is that I have some methods like GetJsonResponse() which return the above JSON and SaveTempFile() which saves that JSON response to a temporary file for later use. I not sure if I should create a class for them, or what namespace to put them under. Right now my current namespace hierarchy is like so: StackOverflow.Api.Json. So how should I organize these methods/classes/namespaces?

• django ignoring admin.py

  I am trying to enable the admin for my app. I managed to get the admin running, but I can't seem to make my models appear on the admin page. I tried following the tutorial (here) which says: (Quote) Just one thing to do: We need to tell the admin that Poll objects have an admin interface. To do this, create a file called admin.py in your polls directory, and edit it to look like this: from polls.models import Poll from django.contrib import admin admin.site.register(Poll) (end quote) I added an admin.py file as instructed, and also added the following lines into urls.py: from django.contrib import admin admin.autodiscover() urlpatterns = patterns('', ... (r'^admin/', include(admin.site.urls)), ) but it appears to have no effect. I even added a print 1 at the first line of admin.py and I see that the printout never happens, So I guess django doesn't know about my admin.py. As said, I can enter the admin site, I just don't see anything other than "groups", "users" and "sites". What step am I missing?

  Hello, I can't make python bindings for webdriver workable. Here is tutorial for installing. easy_install webdriver Won't find webdriver package so I have to install it manually from sources.   I am trying to get firewatir to run on Mac OSX Leopard. Now I've to execute "ant build-ext", following this tutorial: http://www.liferay.com/web/guest/community/wiki/-/wiki/Main/Setting%20up%20the%20Extension%20Environment D:\_liferay\ext>ant build-ext Buildfile: D:\_liferay\ext\build.xml But I receive the Message: BUILD FAILED Target "build-ext" does not exist in the project "ext".   I'm trying to get started on libvirt with VirtualBox as a virtualization solution. I installed everything and VirtualBox itself is running when using their VBoxHeadless command. However, libvirt fails to connect to VirtualBox: # virsh -c vbox:///session libvir: error : could not connect to vbox:///session error: failed to connect to the hypervisor I could not find any hints in the libvirt documentation that point to whether I have to make any domain specific configuration before using virsh. Does anyone have a hint? Or even better, maybe a tutorial that works through the way of using libvirt, virsh or it's APIs (my later goal) from the ground up.

  After working through the Django tutorial I'm now trying to build a very simple invoicing application. I want to add several Products to an Invoice, and to specify the quantity of each product in the Invoice form in the Django admin. Now I've to create a new Product object if I've got different quantites of the same Product. Right now my models look like this (Company and Customer models left out): class Product(models.Model): description = models.TextField() quantity = models.IntegerField() price = models.DecimalField(max_digits=10,decimal_places=2) tax = models.ForeignKey(Tax) class Invoice(models.Model): company = models.ForeignKey(Company) customer = models.ForeignKey(Customer) products = models.ManyToManyField(Product) invoice_no = models.IntegerField() invoice_date = models.DateField(auto_now=True) due_date = models.DateField(default=datetime.date.today() + datetime.timedelta(days=14)) I guess the quantity should be left out of the Product model, but how can I make a field for it in the Invoice model?

  I am trying to install php on my windows 7 machine. I have installed IIS 6.x and I have also installed php. I used this tutorial http://blogs.iis.net/bills/archive/2006/09/19/How-to-install-PHP-on-IIS7-_2800_RC1_2900_.aspx The only thing I didnt understand is this part: 4) Install IIS7, making sure you install the ISAPI Extension component (for PHP-ISAPI - which is what I use) or the CGI component (if you prefer CGI) during IIS installation (ISAPI and CGI are not installed by default) Now when i go to localhost I get an error. HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid. 4: <handlers> 5: <add name="PHP" path="*.php" verb="*" modules="FastCgiModule" scriptProcessor="C:\web\php5\php-cgi.exe" resourceType="Unspecified" /> 6: </handlers> Also php pages do not work in IE, please help

• Spring 3 JSON with MVC

  Is there a way to build Spring Web calls that consume and produce application/json formatted requests and responses respectively? Maybe this isn't Spring MVC, I'm not sure. I'm looking for Spring libraries that behave in a similar fashion to Jersey/JSON. The best case would be if there was an annotation that I could add to the Controller classes that would turn them into JSON service calls. A tutorial showing how to build Spring Web Services with JSON would be great. EDIT: I'm looking for an annotation based approach (similar to Jersey). EDIT2: Like Jersey, I am looking for REST support (POST,GET,DELETE,PUT). EDIT3: Most preferably, this will be the pom.xml entries and some information on using the spring-js with jackson Spring native version of things.

• TortoiseSVN: how to set up projects on a existing directory structure of source code

  I have an old pet project I want to revive (haven't had enough time for it last year - small kid - you know) - so restored old copy of my dev folder from archive, but since I have rebuilt my machine since when - I can't remember what needs to be done now. I installed the latest version of TortoiseSVN, and the existing directory structure from my old dev machine looks like: ProjectName *SubProject1 **branches ***1.1 ***1.2 **tags **trunk *SubProject2 **branches **1.0.3 **1.0.4 **1.0.5 **tags **trunk I tried "import project" but it ask for a url - don't know what to specify there ... can someone post a url to a good TortSVN tutorial - so I could set up my projects quickly (I guess I need to setup SubProject1 and SubProject2) - then I install AnkhSVN for VS2008 and will spend this Sunday coding like crazy while I still have some time ;-)

  Hi, I am trying to use ActiveMerchant to make a Paypal Recurring transaction call. I used the patch here: http://blog.vuzit.com/2008/08/01/paypal-website-payments-pro-us-with-recurring-billing-and-activemerchant/ and I'm stuck on this here: ActiveMerchant::Billing::PaypalGateway.pem_file = File.read('paypal_cert.pem') I am fairly sure the pem file is correctly downloaded from paypal. The error I receive is: /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/activemerchant-1.5.1/lib/active_merchant/lib/connection.rb:129:in initialize': Neither PUB key nor PRIV key:: nested asn1 error (OpenSSL::PKey::RSAError) from /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/activemerchant-1.5.1/lib/active_merchant/lib/connection.rb:129:innew' from calling the commit method from line 49 of paypal_pro_recurring. I simply have 2 files - paypal_pro_recurring.rb from the tutorial and paypalTest.rb which I wrote and simply requires all files and calls the function. I hope the error isn't something stupid like I must require from an environment file or something. Thanks all!

  Hi all, I tried sample example given at this link - Collection View Programming Guide It is simple and it worked. Considering it as a reference I tried a simple application which will show a collection view of web views with some web page displayed over each web view. The model class has two properties: NSString *pageName, and NSURL *pageURL. I then followed each and every step written in tutorial above with required modifications but I was caught in the step - How to bind web view to collection view item? In binding tab it shows three possibilities : Editable, Hidden, Tool tip but none of these is working. Can anyone suggest me way to accomplish my requirement? Thanks, Miraaj

  Hello, I would like to use UINavigationBar without decoration. I.e. I would like to create my own custom buttons and link those to the same actions (e.g. back) as the navigation items were linked to and have no bar presented at the top. I was told that one should use navigation bar even though graphically you should design the interaction yourself. How do I go about doing this? I am quite new to navigation bar to start with...   Hey guys I'm working on the Microsoft Surface Table and I'm attempting to drag an item from 1 SurfaceListBox to another and recognize which SurfaceListBoxItem the other SurfaceListBoxItem was dropped on top of. The SDK help as a great tutorial for dragging items from 1 SurfaceListBox to the next and just adding the content and removing it from the other. If I set AllowDrop=True on the SurfaceListBoxItem the SurfaceListBox still captures the drop. If I set it to false on the SurfaceListBox it doesn't recognize the drop at all. Somehow I need to bury deeper on that drop or something.

The thing is that I wish to learn to use into same time the CakePHP framework which make use a lot of the MVC pattern. Because I don't know much about OO and less about MVC I wish to understand the later one but assumptions I make with my OO knowledges might have bad impact on long term.   Hi, I'm trying to get started with building my own webparts, planning to follow this MSDN article. I've downloaded Visual C# 2010 Express - I'm not quite at the point where I feel comfortable dropping 1000 big ones yet, and I installed Visual Web Developer 2010 Express via the WPInstaller. Following through the tutorial, aside from the fact that I don't get the option to create a "Web Control Library", a gap I filled with this article, I can't seem to find the sn.exe tool (or the "Visual Studio 2005 Command Prompt"!). I know it's not quite a direct programming related question, but I can't even get the thing going yet! Any help is appreciated. Thanks EDIT:- I think I may be jumping the gun quite considerably, I wrote a simple hello world example and tried to build it but it doesn't have any references to the Microsoft.SharePoint packages and they don't appear in my lists. Am I understanding some more research I've done (namely this) correctly, in that I have to actually have a full installation of actual SharePoint on the machine I'm developing on?

  I'm interested in using Functional MetaPost on Mac OS X: http://cryp.to/funcmp/ I'm looking for a tutorial like: http://haskell.org/haskellwiki/Haskell_in_5_steps but for a trivial FuncMP example, i.e. using GHC, I can compile something simple such as: import FMP myPicture = text "blah" main = generate "foo" 1 myPicture but I can't figure out how to view this foo.1.mp output. (It gives a runtime error about not finding 'virmp'; my MetaPost binary is 'mpost'; I can't figure out how to override this Parameter or what my .FunMP file is or should be doing...) I can run mpost on that but the output (foo.1.1) is what, PostScript? EPS? How do I use this? (I imagine I just need a simple LaTeX file with an EPS figure in it or something...) Preferably, I'd like to generate output (.ps or .pdf that I can view) so I an actually get somewhere with Functional MetaPost, learning it, playing with it, not banging my head against paths and binaries and shell commands.

  Hi! I'm trying to modify the fragment shader which is part of the standard iPhone/XCode OpenGL ES template. I want to make it so that every other row of pixels is transparent. I have this code so far: varying lowp vec4 colorVarying; void main() { gl_FragColor = vec4(colorVarying.x, colorVarying.y, colorVarying.z, floor(mod(gl_FragCoord.y, 2.0))); } But when I compile and run I still get the same square moving up and down with no other effects. What am I doing wrong here? I'm a complete n00b at Glsl - I'm trying to teach myself the very basics. But now the path is always munged up by the rewriting, though the virtual components below index.php are properly translated. What am I doing wrong?
