  • python: find and replace numbers < 1 in text file

    I'm pretty new to Python programming and would appreciate some help to a problem I have... Basically I have multiple text files which contain velocity values as such: 0.259515E+03 0.235095E+03 0.208262E+03 0.230223E+03 0.267333E+03 0.217889E+03 0.156233E+03 0.144876E+03 0.136187E+03 0.137865E+00 etc for many lines... What I need to do is convert all the values in the text file that are less than 1 (e.g. 0.137865E+00 above) to an arbitrary value of 0.100000E+01. While it seems pretty simple to replace specific values with the 'replace()' method and a while loop, how do you do this if you want to replace a range? thanks

  • Text after Control Sequence

    I am trying to parse the output of a command that expects to be writing to the screen. It has data separated by move-to-origin control sequences (for the VT220, ESC[1;1H). I only need the last part (i.e. after the last move-to-origin). I have tried doing this multiple ways (primarily awk and sed), but the problem is always that parts of the control sequence have special meaning (to the program, not just to the shell), and I cannot quote them when I substitute tput's output. Any suggestions?

    I think this is a simple question, but google searching for 30 minutes was mostly wasted time as all I can find is matching a variable to a 'randompieceoftext'. Anyways, suppose I have a local variable called @ServerName. This server name will be something like CCPWIQAUL. I need to match this server name to various path names, which is of the form: serverName.something.somethingelse.com These path names are pulled from a database, and will be in the column vManagedEntity.Path How do I do something like this? Is @ServerName is IN vManagedEntity.Path?

    I'm trying to draw text on NSView subclass. I'm using an NSTextStorage, an NSLayoutManager, and an NSTextContainer. I followed Apple's doc and here's the method I use to calculate the necessary height for each text: NSSize newSize= NSMakeSize(width, 0.0); NSLayoutManager* layoutManager= [[textStorage layoutManagers] objectAtIndex:0]; NSTextContainer* textContainer= [[layoutManager textContainers] objectAtIndex:0]; [textContainer setContainerSize:newSize]; [textStorage addAttribute:NSFontAttributeName value:font range:NSMakeRange(0, [textStorage length])]; [textContainer setLineFragmentPadding:0.0]; [layoutManager glyphRangeForTextContainer:textContainer]; return [layoutManager usedRectForTextContainer:textContainer].size.height; The only problem is that I don't know how to draw in an NSRect with the layout manager.   • UIActionsSheet text shadow problem

    I have a problem with the text shadow of the UIActionSheet buttons. At iOS 4.0.2 long string were truncated automatically. No at iOS 4.2 these texts are presented with a smaller font. But now the offset of the shadow is corrupted and to big. Is there a possibility to change/remove the text shadow of the UIActionSheet. EDIT: I'm building the UIActionSheet not with initWithTitle:, but with the normal init and sets all needed properties afterwards because the number of possible buttons is dynamic and the texts cannot be change. I've tested it with initWithTitle: and got the same results.

When I tried to search in the net, they told me to use QToolButton. When I used the QToolButton I could set the Qt::ToolButtonTextUnderIcon. But I couldn’t find a way to change the dimension i.e. Width, height, x and y position. Please help me to display a icon with text should be bellow the icon.

  • Trying to send text message using sp_send_dbmail truncates url in body

    I'm using send_dbmail to send a text message to customers. This is the following sql: exec msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail @recipients='[email protected]', @body='check out this url https://www.someurl.com/directory/blah.aspx', @subject='I am the subject!' The body gets truncated to "check out this url https://www.someurl.com/directory/blah.as" (the "px" is removed from the end of the url). I've ruled out message length as I have tried sending just "www.google.com/test.aspx" and the "px" is removed as well. Another strange thing, when I try forwarding the text message to myself and add the "px" back on myself, it works. It also works if I send a email from outlook with the same body. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • "Access is denied" when copying text file to printer UNC path

    We have a new server running Server 2008 R2. We also have a "DOS-based" program that prints directly to the UNC path of a print share. With the new server, we are unable to print from this program. According to support, the program's printing works in the same way as if we were to do a "copy mytextfile.txt \\myserver\myprinter". When we try to run this command in DOS, we get "Access is denied". Support is saying that this is why the DOS program is not able to print. I have tried granting all permissions on the printer to the appropriate users (under Security of the printer properties) but that did not work. Is there a policy setting that would cause this to be denied?

    Hello, i need some help with a menu. The 4 values "go here", "go there", "maybe here", "or even here" are the 4 values that should be assigned to the other menu items (like the example). Also, right now, for some reason i can't click ONTO the list item itself in order to activate the jquery code. I need to click just a few pixels under it. But i guess that's a css issue.     I would like to have users click a link that then selects the html text in another element (NOT an input). By "select" I mean the same way you would select text by dragging your mouse over it. This has been a bear to research because everyone talks about "select" or "highlight" in other terms. Is this possible?     I have a list of 1285 keywords (database object names) that I have compiled into a TXT file; one keyword per line. I would like to search a directory of files (most have a .aspx or .cs extension) using this list of keywords. My main goal is find out which of the 1285 database objects are being referenced in these files. Can anyone recommend a tool that could accomplish this? Otherwise, I will just create my own. Thanks.

    problem: Button size is enough, however when I change title, the title text cannot fit the button width. Any SDK function can solve this problem, or I need to manually code to solve it? Please refer to following pictures. design in the nib file. initial show in simulator when I change the title text tried some ways before _button.titleLabel.adjustsFontSizeToFitWidth = YES; the way will change my font size. I cannot accept the way. [_button setTitleEdgeInsets:UIEdgeInsetsMake(10.0, 10.0, 0.0,0.0)]; the way change label's position only, not label size. [_button.titleLabel sizeToFit]; result is same with picture(3). [_button sizeToFit]; title moved to upper left corner, and the title still the same result. Just confused, my button size is big enough, why title size is so small?

EDIT: I think question was misunderstood. There is a drawable inside the Toggle Button (flame_icon) and it is set as background. I want it to be centered. There is no Text, just an image. I need a Toggle Button because I need to have an Active State when selected. There is only drawableLeft, drawableRight, drawableTop, etc. I want a draweableMiddle that doesn't seem to exisit.

What I'm seeing right now is that when I return to the activity, the cursor being used is the unfiltered one set on the filter at creation, but the filter text they typed is still shown (and typing keys causes the filter to be applied). What I'd like to do is either clear the filter, or keep the filtered cursor that the activity was left with.

    I have a text box that when it is disabled the text in it is gray and kind of dithered. (This is the standard functionality.) Is there a way to make this easier to see? I have tried this: txtBoxNumber.Enabled = false; txtBoxNumber.ForeColor = Color.Black; and that has no effect. NOTE: This is a .net Compact Framework app, but I am not tagging the question with CF because I think it is the same for normal .net.

    I have a text file containing data in rows and columns (~17000 rows in total). Each column is a uniform number of characters long, with the 'unused' characters filled in by spaces. For example, the first column is 11 characters long, but the last four characters in that column are always spaces (so that it appears to be a nice column when viewed with a text editor). Sometimes it's more than four if the entry is less than 7 characters. The columns are not otherwise separated by commas, tabs, or spaces. They are also not all the same number of characters (the first two are 11, the next two are 8 and the last one is 5 - but again, some are spaces). What I want to do is import the entires (which are numbers) in the last two columns if the second column contains the string 'OW' somewhere in it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
