  • Would anybody mind taking a look at my XML structure?

    - by Bill H
    I am relatively new to this but I was hoping somebody could offer up a good critique of this XML structure I put together. I am not looking for anything in depth but rather if somebody notices anything inherently wrong with the structure (or any tips to make it better) I'd greatly appreciate it. We have a large amount of products that we wholesale out and our customers were looking for a data feed to incorporate our products into their websites. <product modified=""> <id></id> <title></title> <description></description> <upc></upc> <quantity></quantity> <images> <image width="" height=""></image> <image width="" height=""></image> <image width="" height=""></image> </images> <category> <name></name> <subcategory></subcategory> </category> <sale expiration="">yes</sale> <msrp></msrp> <cube></cube> <weight></weight> <pricing> <tier> <pack><pack> <price></price> </tier> <tier> <pack><pack> <price></price> </tier> <tier> <pack><pack> <price></price> </tier> </pricing> </product> We sell in 3 different pack sizes hence the pricing node.

  • How can I check the content of the arrays? Parsing XML file with ObjectiveC

    - by skiria
    I have 3 classes- video { nameVideo, id, description, user... } topic {nameTopic, topicID, NSMutableArray videos; } category {nameCategory, categoryID, NSMUtableArray topics} And then in my app delegate I defined- NSMutableArray categories; I parse an XML file with this code. I try the arrays hierachy, and i think that i don't add any object on the arrays. How can I check it? What's wrong? (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser didStartElement:(NSString *)elementName namespaceURI:(NSString *)namespaceURI qualifiedName:(NSString *)qualifiedName attributes:(NSDictionary *)attributeDict { if([elementName isEqualToString:@"Videos"]) { //Initialize the array. appDelegate.categories = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; } else if ([elementName isEqualToString:@"Category"]) { aCategory = [[Category alloc] init]; aCategory.categoryID = [[attributeDict objectForKey:@"id"] integerValue]; NSLog(@"Reading id category value: %i", aCategory.categoryID); } else if ([elementName isEqualToString:@"Topic"]) { aTopic = [[Topic alloc] init]; aTopic.topicID = [[attributeDict objectForKey:@"id"] integerValue]; NSLog(@"Reading id topic value: %i", aTopic.topicID); } else if ([elementName isEqualToString:@"video"]) { aVideo = [[Video alloc] init]; aVideo.videoID = [[attributeDict objectForKey:@"id"] integerValue]; aVideo.nameTopic = currentNameTopic; aVideo.nameCategory = currentNameCategory; NSLog(@"Reading id video value: %i", aVideo.videoID); } NSLog(@"Processing Element: %@", elementName); } (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser foundCharacters:(NSString *)string { if(!currentElementValue) currentElementValue = [[NSMutableString alloc] initWithString:string]; else [currentElementValue appendString:string]; NSLog(@"Processing Value: %@", currentElementValue); } (void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser didEndElement:(NSString *)elementName namespaceURI:(NSString *)namespaceURI qualifiedName:(NSString *)qName { if([elementName isEqualToString:@"Videos"]) return; if ([elementName isEqualToString:@"Category"]) { [appDelegate.categories addObject:aCategory]; [aCategory release]; aCategory = nil; } if ([elementName isEqualToString:@"Topic"]) { [aCategory.topics addObject:aTopic]; //NSLog(@"contador: %i", [aCategory.topics count]); //NSLog(@"contador: %@", aTopic.nameTopic); [aTopic release]; aTopic = nil; } if ([elementName isEqualToString:@"video"]) { [aTopic.videos addObject:aVideo]; NSLog(@"count number videos: %i", [aTopic.videos count]); -- always 0 NSLog(@"NOM CATEGORIA VIDEO: %@", aVideo.urlVideo); -- OK [aVideo release]; aVideo = nil; } if ([elementName isEqualToString:@"nameCategory"]) { //[aCategory setValue:currentElementValue forKey:elementName]; aCategory.nameCategory = currentElementValue; currentNameCategory = currentElementValue; } if ([elementName isEqualToString:@"nameTopic"]) { aTopic.nameTopic = currentElementValue; currentNameTopic = currentElementValue; } else [aVideo setValue:currentElementValue forKey:elementName]; [currentElementValue release]; currentElementValue = nil; }

    I am trying to echo a result from xml into my html code form expedia. But I ran into a problem. There text is a little messed up: <areaInformation> Distances are calculated in a straight line from the property&apos;s location to the point of interest or attraction, and may not reflect actual travel distance. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; Distances are displayed to the nearest 0.1 mile and kilometre. &lt;p&gt;La Isla Shopping Mall - 0.5 km / 0.3 mi &lt;br /&gt;Yamil Lu&apos;um - 0.5 km / 0.3 mi &lt;br /&gt;Acuario Interactivo - 0.6 km / 0.3 mi &lt;br /&gt;Luxury Avenue - 1.5 km / 0.9 mi &lt;br /&gt;Cancun Golf Club at Pok Ta Pok - 2.2 km / 1.3 mi &lt;br /&gt;Nautilus Diving and Training Center - 2.6 km / 1.6 mi &lt;br /&gt;Cancun Convention Center - 2.8 km / 1.7 mi &lt;br /&gt;Plaza Caracol - 2.8 km / 1.8 mi &lt;br /&gt;Playa Tortuga - 3.1 km / 1.9 mi &lt;br /&gt;Aquaworld - 3.6 km / 2.2 mi &lt;br /&gt;Playa Langosta - 4.1 km / 2.6 mi &lt;br /&gt;Museo de Arte Popular Mexicano - 4.6 km / 2.9 mi &lt;br /&gt;Playa Linda - 5 km / 3.1 mi &lt;br /&gt;Playa Delfines - 6.1 km / 3.8 mi &lt;br /&gt;El Rey Ruins - 6.2 km / 3.8 mi &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The preferred airport for ME Cancun - Complete ME All Inclusive is Cancun, Quintana Roo (CUN-Cancun Intl.) - 14.3 km / 8.9 mi. &lt;/p&gt; </areaInformation> And I echo it in php: <div id="hotelInfo"><?php echo $areaInfo ?></div> And of course I get this in the browser window: Distances are calculated in a straight line from the property's location to the point of interest or attraction, and may not reflect actual travel distance. <br /><br /> Distances are displayed to the nearest 0.1 mile and kilometre. <p>La Isla Shopping Mall - 0.5 km / 0.3 mi <br />Yamil Lu'um - 0.5 km / 0.3 mi <br />Acuario Interac etc. How can I fix this???   • How to get XML into a Dictionary with an Expression?

    - by DaveDev
    I have the following XML: <PerformancePanel page="PerformancePanel.ascx" title=""> <FundGroup heading="Net Life Managed Funds"> <fund id="17" countryid="N0" index="24103723" /> <fund id="81" countryid="N0" index="24103723" /> <fund id="127" countryid="N0" index="24103722" /> <fund id="345" countryid="N0" index="24103723" /> <fund id="346" countryid="N0" index="24103723" /> </FundGroup> <FundGroup heading="Net Life Specialist Funds"> <fund id="110" countryid="N0" index="24103717" /> <fund id="150" countryid="N0" index="24103719" /> <fund id="119" countryid="N0" index="24103720" /> <fund id="115" countryid="N0" index="24103727" /> <fund id="141" countryid="N0" index="24103711" /> <fund id="137" countryid="N0" /> <fund id="146" countryid="N0" /> <fund id="133" countryid="N0" /> <fund id="90" countryid="N0" /> <fund id="104" countryid="N0" /> <fund id="96" countryid="N0" /> </FundGroup> </PerformancePanel> I can get the data into an anonymous object as follows: var offlineFactsheet = new { PerformancePanels = (from panel in doc.Elements("PerformancePanel") select new PerformancePanel { PerformanceFunds = (from fg in panel.Elements("FundGroup") select new { Heading = (fg.Attribute("heading") == null) ? "" : (string)fg.Attribute("heading"), Funds = (from fund in fg.Elements("fund") select new Fund { FundId = (int)fund.Attribute("id"), CountryId = (string)fund.Attribute("countryid"), FundIndex = (fund.Attribute("index") == null) ? null : new Index { Id = (int)fund.Attribute("index") }, FundNameAppend = (fund.Attribute("append") == null) ? "" : (string)fund.Attribute("append") }).ToList() }).ToDictionary(xx => xx.Heading, xx => xx.Funds)}; I'm trying to change my code such that I can assign the dictionary directly to a property of the class I'm working in, as described in this question. I'd like to have a Dictionary() where each header text is the key to the list of funds under it. I'm having difficulty applying the example in the linked question because that only returns a string, and this needs to return the dictionary. This is the point that I got to before it occurred to me that I'm lost!!!: this.PerformancePanels = doc.Elements("PerformancePanel").Select(e => { var control = (PerformancePanel)LoadControl(this.OfflineFactsheetPath + (string)e.Attribute("page")); control.PerformanceFunds = e.Elements("FundGroup").Select(f => { List<Fund> funds = (from fund in e.Elements("fund") select new Fund { FundId = (int)fund.Attribute("id"), CountryId = (string)fund.Attribute("countryid"), FundIndex = (fund.Attribute("index") == null) ? null : new Index { Id = (int)fund.Attribute("index") }, FundNameAppend = (fund.Attribute("append") == null) ? "" : (string)fund.Attribute("append") }).ToList(); string heading = (e.Attribute("heading") == null) ? "" : (string)e.Attribute("heading"); }).ToDictionary(xx => heading, xx => Funds); return control; }).ToList(); Could someone point me in the right direction please? I'm not even sure if 'Expression' is the right terminology. Could someone fill me in on that too? Thanks.

  • Referencing both an old version and new version of the same DLL (VB.Net)

    - by ckittel
    Consider the following situation: WidgetCompany produced a .NET DLL in 2006 called Widget.dll, version 1.0. I consumed this Widget.dll file throughout my VB.Net application. Over time, WidgetCompany has been updating Widget.dll, I never bothered to keep up, continuing to ship version 1.0 of Widget.dll with my software. It's now 2010, my project is now a VB.Net 3.5 application and WidgetCompany has come out with Widget.dll version 3.0. It looks and functions almost identical to Widget.dll version 1.0, using all the same namespaces and type names from before. However, Widget.dll version 3.0 has many run-time breaking changes since 1.0 and I cannot simply cut over to the new version; however, I don't want to continue developing against the 1.0 version and therefore keep digging myself deeper in the hole. What I want to do is do all new development in my project with Widget.dll version 3.0, whilst keeping Widget.dll version 1.0 around until I find time to convert all of my 1.0 consumption to the newer 3.0 code. Now, for starters, I obviously cannot simply reference both Widget.dll (Ver 1.0) and Widget.dll (Ver 3.0) in Visual Studio. Doing so gives me the following message: "A reference to 'Widget.dll' could not be added. A reference to the component 'Widget' already exists in the project." To work around that, I can simply rename version 3.0 Widget.dll to Widget.3.dll. But this is where I'm stuck. Any attempts to reference types found in "the dll" leads to ambiguity and the compiler obviously doesn't have any clue as to what I really want in this or that case. Is there something I can do that gives a DLL a new "root" Namespace or something? For example, if I could say "Widget.dll has a new root namespace of Legacy" then I could update existing code to reference the types found in Legacy.<RootNamespace> namespace while all new code could simply reference types from the <RootNamespace> namespace. Pipe dream or reality? Are there other solutions to situations this (besides "don't get in this situation in the first place")?

  • XSL transformation of SVG adds namespace attribute to new tag

    - by Steve
    I have a SVG file that I want to extend by adding onclick handlers to edges and nodes. I also want to add a script tag referring to a JavaScript. The problem is that the script tag gets an empty namespace attribute added to it. I haven't found any information regarding this that I understand. Why does XSLT add an empty namespace? XSL file: <?xml version="1.0"?> <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:svg="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"> <xsl:output method="xml" encoding="utf-8" /> <xsl:template match="/svg:svg"> <xsl:copy> <script type="text/ecmascript" xlink:href="base.js" /> <!-- this tag gets a namespace attr --> <xsl:apply-templates /> </xsl:copy> </xsl:template> <!-- Identity transform http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt#copying --> <xsl:template match="@*|node()"> <xsl:copy> <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/> </xsl:copy> </xsl:template> <!-- Check groups and add functions --> <xsl:template match="svg:g"> <xsl:copy> <xsl:if test="@class = 'node'"> <xsl:attribute name="onclick">node_clicked()</xsl:attribute> </xsl:if> <xsl:if test="@class = 'edge'"> <xsl:attribute name="onclick">edge_clicked()</xsl:attribute> </xsl:if> <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()" /> </xsl:copy> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet>

  • Is it OK to put a standard, pure C header #include directive inside a namespace?

    - by mic_e
    I've got a project with a class log in the global namespace (::log). So, naturally, after #include <cmath>, the compiler gives an error message each time I try to instantiate an object of my log class, because <cmath> pollutes the global namespace with lots of three-letter methods, one of them being the logarithm function log(). So there are three possible solutions, each having their unique ugly side-effects. Move the log class to it's own namespace and always access it with it's fully qualified name. I really want to avoid this because the logger should be as convenient as possible to use. Write a mathwrapper.cpp file which is the only file in the project that includes <cmath>, and makes all the required <cmath> functions available through wrappers in a namespace math. I don't want to use this approach because I have to write a wrapper for every single required math function, and it would add additional call penalty (cancelled out partially by the -flto compiler flag) The solution I'm currently considering: Replace #include <cmath> by namespace math { #include "math.h" } and then calculating the logarithm function via math::log(). I have tried it out and it does, indeed, compile, link and run as expected. It does, however, have multiple downsides: It's (obviously) impossible to use <cmath>, because the <cmath> code accesses the functions by their fully qualified names, and it's deprecated to use in C++. I've got a really, really bad feeling about it, like I'm gonna get attacked and eaten alive by raptors. So my question is: Is there any recommendation/convention/etc that forbid putting include directives in namespaces? Could anything go wrong with diferent C standard library implementations (I use glibc), different compilers (I use g++ 4.7, -std=c++11), linking? Have you ever tried doing this? Are there any alternate ways to banish the math functions from the global namespace? I've found several similar questions on stackoverflow, but most were about including other C++ headers, which obviously is a bad idea, and those that weren't made contradictory statements about linking behaviour for C libraries. Also, would it be beneficial to additionally put the #include <math.h> inside extern "C" {}?

  • Setting up a local AI server - easy with Solaris 11

    - by Stefan Hinker
    Many things are new in Solaris 11, Autoinstall is one of them.  If, like me, you've known Jumpstart for the last 2 centuries or so, you'll have to start from scratch.  Well, almost, as the concepts are similar, and it's not all that difficult.  Just new. I wanted to have an AI server that I could use for demo purposes, on the train if need be.  That answers the question of hardware requirements: portable.  But let's start at the beginning. First, you need an OS image, of course.  In the new world of Solaris 11, it is now called a repository.  The original can be downloaded from the Solaris 11 page at Oracle.   What you want is the "Oracle Solaris 11 11/11 Repository Image", which comes in two parts that can be combined using cat.  MD5 checksums for these (and all other downloads from that page) are available closer to the top of the page. With that, building the repository is quick and simple: # zfs create -o mountpoint=/export/repo rpool/ai/repo # zfs create rpool/ai/repo/s11 # mount -o ro -F hsfs /tmp/sol-11-1111-repo-full.iso /mnt # rsync -aP /mnt/repo /export/repo/s11 # umount /mnt # pkgrepo rebuild -s /export/repo/sol11/repo # zfs snapshot rpool/ai/repo/sol11@fcs # pkgrepo info -s /export/repo/sol11/repo PUBLISHER PACKAGES STATUS UPDATED solaris 4292 online 2012-03-12T20:47:15.378639Z That's all there's to it.  Let's make a snapshot, just to be on the safe side.  You never know when one will come in handy.  To use this repository, you could just add it as a file-based publisher: # pkg set-publisher -g file:///export/repo/sol11/repo solaris In case I'd want to access this repository through a (virtual) network, i'll now quickly activate the repository-service: # svccfg -s application/pkg/server \ setprop pkg/inst_root=/export/repo/sol11/repo # svccfg -s application/pkg/server setprop pkg/readonly=true # svcadm refresh application/pkg/server # svcadm enable application/pkg/server That's all you need - now point your browser to http://localhost/ to view your beautiful repository-server. Step 1 is done.  All of this, by the way, is nicely documented in the README file that's contained in the repository image. Of course, we already have updates to the original release.  You can find them in MOS in the Oracle Solaris 11 Support Repository Updates (SRU) Index.  You can simply add these to your existing repository or create separate repositories for each SRU.  The individual SRUs are self-sufficient and incremental - SRU4 includes all updates from SRU2 and SRU3.  With ZFS, you can also get both: A full repository with all updates and at the same time incremental ones up to each of the updates: # mount -o ro -F hsfs /tmp/sol-11-1111-sru4-05-incr-repo.iso /mnt # pkgrecv -s /mnt/repo -d /export/repo/sol11/repo '*' # umount /mnt # pkgrepo rebuild -s /export/repo/sol11/repo # zfs snapshot rpool/ai/repo/sol11@sru4 # zfs set snapdir=visible rpool/ai/repo/sol11 # svcadm restart svc:/application/pkg/server:default The normal repository is now updated to SRU4.  Thanks to the ZFS snapshots, there is also a valid repository of Solaris 11 11/11 without the update located at /export/repo/sol11/.zfs/snapshot/fcs . If you like, you can also create another repository service for each update, running on a separate port. But now lets continue with the AI server.  Just a little bit of reading in the dokumentation makes it clear that we will need to run a DHCP server for this.  Since I already have one active (for my SunRay installation) and since it's a good idea to have these kinds of services separate anyway, I decided to create this in a Zone.  So, let's create one first: # zfs create -o mountpoint=/export/install rpool/ai/install # zfs create -o mountpoint=/zones rpool/zones # zonecfg -z ai-server zonecfg:ai-server> create create: Using system default template 'SYSdefault' zonecfg:ai-server> set zonepath=/zones/ai-server zonecfg:ai-server> add dataset zonecfg:ai-server:dataset> set name=rpool/ai/install zonecfg:ai-server:dataset> set alias=install zonecfg:ai-server:dataset> end zonecfg:ai-server> commit zonecfg:ai-server> exit # zoneadm -z ai-server install # zoneadm -z ai-server boot ; zlogin -C ai-server Give it a hostname and IP address at first boot, and there's the Zone.  For a publisher for Solaris packages, it will be bound to the "System Publisher" from the Global Zone.  The /export/install filesystem, of course, is intended to be used by the AI server.  Let's configure it now: #zlogin ai-server root@ai-server:~# pkg install install/installadm root@ai-server:~# installadm create-service -n x86-fcs -a i386 \ -s pkg://solaris/install-image/[email protected],5.11-0.175.0.0.0.2.1482 \ -d /export/install/fcs -i 192.168.2.20 -c 3 With that, the core AI server is already done.  What happened here?  First, I installed the AI server software.  IPS makes that nice and easy.  If necessary, it'll also pull in the required DHCP-Server and anything else that might be missing.  Watch out for that DHCP server software.  In Solaris 11, there are two different versions.  There's the one you might know from Solaris 10 and earlier, and then there's a new one from ISC.  The latter is the one we need for AI.  The SMF service names of both are very similar.  The "old" one is "svc:/network/dhcp-server:default". The ISC-server comes with several SMF-services. We at least need "svc:/network/dhcp/server:ipv4".  The command "installadm create-service" creates the installation-service. It's called "x86-fcs", serves the "i386" architecture and gets its boot image from the repository of the system publisher, using version 5.11,5.11-0.175.0.0.0.2.1482, which is Solaris 11 11/11.  (The option "-a i386" in this example is optional, since the installserver itself runs on a x86 machine.) The boot-environment for clients is created in /export/install/fcs and the DHCP-server is configured for 3 IP-addresses starting at 192.168.2.20.  This configuration is stored in a very human readable form in /etc/inet/dhcpd4.conf.  An AI-service for SPARC systems could be created in the very same way, using "-a sparc" as the architecture option. Now we would be ready to register and install the first client.  It would be installed with the default "solaris-large-server" using the publisher "http://pkg.oracle.com/solaris/release" and would query it's configuration interactively at first boot.  This makes it very clear that an AI-server is really only a boot-server.  The true source of packets to install can be different.  Since I don't like these defaults for my demo setup, I did some extra config work for my clients. The configuration of a client is controlled by manifests and profiles.  The manifest controls which packets are installed and how the filesystems are layed out.  In that, it's very much like the old "rules.ok" file in Jumpstart.  Profiles contain additional configuration like root passwords, primary user account, IP addresses, keyboard layout etc.  Hence, profiles are very similar to the old sysid.cfg file. The easiest way to get your hands on a manifest is to ask the AI server we just created to give us it's default one.  Then modify that to our liking and give it back to the installserver to use: root@ai-server:~# mkdir -p /export/install/configs/manifests root@ai-server:~# cd /export/install/configs/manifests root@ai-server:~# installadm export -n x86-fcs -m orig_default \ -o orig_default.xml root@ai-server:~# cp orig_default.xml s11-fcs.small.local.xml root@ai-server:~# vi s11-fcs.small.local.xml root@ai-server:~# more s11-fcs.small.local.xml <!DOCTYPE auto_install SYSTEM "file:///usr/share/install/ai.dtd.1"> <auto_install> <ai_instance name="S11 Small fcs local"> <target> <logical> <zpool name="rpool" is_root="true"> <filesystem name="export" mountpoint="/export"/> <filesystem name="export/home"/> <be name="solaris"/> </zpool> </logical> </target> <software type="IPS"> <destination> <image> <!-- Specify locales to install --> <facet set="false">facet.locale.*</facet> <facet set="true">facet.locale.de</facet> <facet set="true">facet.locale.de_DE</facet> <facet set="true">facet.locale.en</facet> <facet set="true">facet.locale.en_US</facet> </image> </destination> <source> <publisher name="solaris"> <origin name="http://192.168.2.12/"/> </publisher> </source> <!-- By default the latest build available, in the specified IPS repository, is installed. Use my own package service as publisher, running on IP address 192.168.2.12 Install the initial release of Solaris 11:  pkg:/[email protected],5.11-0.175.0.0.0.2.0 Using a similar approach, I'll create a default profile interactively and use it as a template for a few customized building blocks, each defining a part of the overall system configuration.  The modular approach makes it easy to configure numerous clients later on: root@ai-server:~# mkdir -p /export/install/configs/profiles root@ai-server:~# cd /export/install/configs/profiles root@ai-server:~# sysconfig create-profile -o default.xml root@ai-server:~# cp default.xml general.xml; cp default.xml mars.xml root@ai-server:~# cp default.xml user.xml root@ai-server:~# vi general.xml mars.xml user.xml root@ai-server:~# more 192.168.2.100 user.xml None Here's the idea behind these files: "general.xml" contains settings valid for all my clients.  Stuff like DNS servers, for example, which in my case will always be the same. "user.xml" only contains user definitions.  That is, a root password and a primary user.Both of these profiles will be valid for all clients (for now). "mars.xml" defines network settings for an individual client.  This profile is associated with an IP-Address.  For this to work, I'll have to tweak the DHCP-settings in the next step: root@ai-server:~# installadm create-client -e 08:00:27:AA:3D:B1 -n x86-fcs root@ai-server:~# vi /etc/inet/dhcpd4.conf root@ai-server:~# tail -5 /etc/inet/dhcpd4.conf host 080027AA3DB1 { hardware ethernet 08:00:27:AA:3D:B1; fixed-address 192.168.2.100; filename "01080027AA3DB1"; } This completes the client preparations.  I manually added the IP-Address for mars to /etc/inet/dhcpd4.conf.  This is needed for the "mars.xml" profile.  Disabling arbitrary DHCP-replies will shut up this DHCP server, making my life in a shared environment a lot more peaceful ;-)Now, I of course want this installation to be completely hands-off.  For this to work, I'll need to modify the grub boot menu for this client slightly.  You can find it in /etc/netboot.  "installadm create-client" will create a new boot menu for every client, identified by the client's MAC address.  The template for this can be found in a subdirectory with the name of the install service, /etc/netboot/x86-fcs in our case.  If you don't want to change this manually for every client, modify that template to your liking instead. root@ai-server:~# cd /etc/netboot root@ai-server:~# cp menu.lst.01080027AA3DB1 menu.lst.01080027AA3DB1.org root@ai-server:~# vi menu.lst.01080027AA3DB1 root@ai-server:~# diff menu.lst.01080027AA3DB1 menu.lst.01080027AA3DB1.org 1,2c1,2 < default=1 < timeout=10 --- > default=0 > timeout=30 root@ai-server:~# more menu.lst.01080027AA3DB1 default=1 timeout=10 min_mem64=0 title Oracle Solaris 11 11/11 Text Installer and command line kernel$ /x86-fcs/platform/i86pc/kernel/$ISADIR/unix -B install_media=htt p://$serverIP:5555//export/install/fcs,install_service=x86-fcs,install_svc_addre ss=$serverIP:5555 module$ /x86-fcs/platform/i86pc/$ISADIR/boot_archive title Oracle Solaris 11 11/11 Automated Install kernel$ /x86-fcs/platform/i86pc/kernel/$ISADIR/unix -B install=true,inst all_media=http://$serverIP:5555//export/install/fcs,install_service=x86-fcs,inst all_svc_address=$serverIP:5555,livemode=text module$ /x86-fcs/platform/i86pc/$ISADIR/boot_archive Now just boot the client off the network using PXE-boot.  For my demo purposes, that's a client from VirtualBox, of course.  That's all there's to it.  And despite the fact that this blog entry is a little longer - that wasn't that hard now, was it?

  • PHP SimpleXML recursive function to list children and attibutes

    - by Phill Pafford
    I need some help on the SimpleXML calls for a recursive function that lists the elements name and attributes. Making a XML config file system but each script will have it's own config file as well as a new naming convention. So what I need is an easy way to map out all the elements that have attributes, so like in example 1 I need a simple way to call all the processes but I don't know how to do this without hard coding the elements name is the function call. Is there a way to recursively call a function to match a child element name? I did see the xpath functionality but I don't see how to use this for attributes. Any ideas? Also does the XML in the examples look correct? can I structure my XML like this? Example 1: <application> <processes> <process id="123" name="run batch A" /> <process id="122" name="run batch B" /> <process id="129" name="run batch C" /> </processes> <connections> <databases> <database usr="test" pss="test" hst="test" dbn="test" /> </databases> <shells> <ssh usr="test" pss="test" hst="test-2" /> <ssh usr="test" pss="test" hst="test-1" /> </shells> </connections> </application> Example 2: <config> <queues> <queue id="1" name="test" /> <queue id="2" name="production" /> <queue id="3" name="error" /> </queues> </config> Pseudo code: // Would return matching process id getProcess($process_id) { return the process attributes as array that are in the XML } // Would return matching DBN (database name) getDatabase($database_name) { return the database attributes as array that are in the XML } // Would return matching SSH Host getSSHHost($ssh_host) { return the ssh attributes as array that are in the XML } // Would return matching SSH User getSSHUser($ssh_user) { return the ssh attributes as array that are in the XML } // Would return matching Queue getQueue($queue_id) { return the queue attributes as array that are in the XML } EDIT: Can I pass two parms? on the first method you have suggested @Gordon public function findProcessById($id, $name) { $attr = false; $el = $this->xml->xpath("//process[@id='$id']"); // How do I also filter by the name? if($el && count($el) === 1) { $attr = (array) $el[0]->attributes(); $attr = $attr['@attributes']; } return $attr; }

  • Generate Ant build file

    - by inakiabt
    I have the following project structure: root/ comp/ env/ version/ build.xml build.xml build.xml Where root/comp/env/version/build.xml is: <project name="comp-env-version" basedir="."> <import file="../build.xml" optional="true" /> <echo>Comp Env Version tasks</echo> <target name="run"> <echo>Comp Env Version run task</echo> </target> </project> root/comp/env/build.xml is: <project name="comp-env" basedir="."> <import file="../build.xml" optional="true" /> <echo>Comp Env tasks</echo> <target name="run"> <echo>Comp Env run task</echo> </target> </project> root/comp/build.xml is: <project name="comp" basedir="."> <echo>Comp tasks</echo> </project> Each build file imports the parent build file and each child inherits and overrides parent tasks/properties. What I need is to get the generated build XML without run anything. For example, if I run "ant" (or something like that) on root/comp/env/version/, I would like to get the following output: <project name="comp-env-version" basedir="."> <echo>Comp tasks</echo> <echo>Comp Env tasks</echo> <echo>Comp Env Version tasks</echo> <target name="run"> <echo>Comp Env Version run task</echo> </target> </project> Is there an Ant plugin to do this? With Maven? What are my options if not? EDIT: I need something like "mvn help:effective-pom" for Ant.

    Hi, I am using JMS Messaging in my java program. My messages are coming from IBM Main Frame and the messages are xml files. Mainframe pushwa messages that is xml files to the queue But when the java program reads the messages from the queue an additional character "?" gets added in front of the xml file. For example a file like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> becomes ?<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> when I read the message from the queue. And when I try to parse this I catch the following exception SAX Exception org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Content is not allowed in trailing section. Content is not allowed in trailing section What could be the reason for this additional character getting added ?

  • Cross Domain Post - Losing POST Data

    - by Tomas Beblar
    I have 2 servers, both running R2 / IIS7 / ASP Classic sites (can't get around any of that) Server A is making the follow calls: Dim objXMLHTTP, xml Set xml = Server.CreateObject("Msxml2.ServerXmlHTTP.6.0") xml.Open "POST", templateName, false xml.setRequestHeader "Content-Type", "application/xml" xml.Send variables Where the templateName is the URL of Server B (It's an email template) ... and variables are a name value pair string like a query string password=myPassword&customerEmail=Dear+Bob,.... Server B receives the POST but all the POST data (password=myPassword&customerEmail=Dear+Bob,....) is missing from the POST password = Request.Form("templatePassword") customerEmail = Request.Form("RackAttackCustomerEmail") The above values are all empty. Here's the kicker. This all worked on our old servers (Windows Server 2003, IIS 6) But when we migrated over, this stopped working correctly. My question is: What would cause the POST data to be dropped in IIS 7 when it all worked in IIS 6? I've done about 3 days of research into this trying many different things and nothing has worked. The POST data is just gone.

  • GET syntax in xpath

    - by David Doria
    I am trying to use a parameter that I pass to the page in an xpath query. This works properly (hard coded): <?php $xml = simplexml_load_file("bookstore.xml"); $res = $xml->xpath("/bookstore/book[title = 'Everyday Italian']"); echo $res[0]->author ?> but I pass the parameter with: bookdetails.php?title="Everyday Italian" and then do: <?php $xml = simplexml_load_file("bookstore.xml"); $res = $xml->xpath("/bookstore/book[title = $_GET['title']]"); echo $res[0]->author ?> I get a 500 error. Any thoughts? Thanks, David

  • What is the best way to read and write cXML documents in C# ?

    - by tetranz
    I know this is a vague open ended question. I'm hoping to get some general direction. I need to add cXML punchout to an ASP.NET C# site / application. This is replacing something that I wrote years ago in ColdFusion. I'm a reasonably experienced C# developer but I haven't done much with XML. There seems to be lots of different options for processing XML in .NET. Here's the open ended question: Assuming that I have an XML document in some form, eg a file or a string, what is the best way to read it into my code? I want to get the data and then query databases etc. The cXML document size and our traffic volumes are easily small enough so that loading the a cXML document into memory is not a problem. Should I: 1) Manually build classes based on the dtd and use the XML Serializer? 2) Use a tool to generate classes. There are sample cXML files downloadable from Ariba.com. I tried xsd.exe to generate an xsd and then xsd.exe /c to generate classes. When I try to deserialize I get errors because there seems to be "confusion" around whether some elements should be single values or arrays. I tried the CodeXS online tool but that gives errors in it's log and errors if I try to deserialize a sample document. 2) Create a dataset and ReadXml()? 3) Create a typed dataset and ReadXml()? 4) Use Linq to XML. I often use Linq to Objects so I'm familiar with Linq in general but I'm struggling to see what it gives me in this situation. 5) Some other means. I guess I need to improve my understanding of XML in general but even so ... am I missing some obvious way of doing this? In the old ColdFusion site I found a free component ("tag") which basically ignored any schema and read the XML into a "structure" which is essentially a series of nested hash tables which was then easy to read in code. That was probably quite sloppy but it worked. I also need to generate XML files from my C# objects. Maybe Linq to XML will be good for that. I could start with a default "template" document and manipulate it before saving. Thanks for any pointers ...

  • Hierarchical Data in MySQL is fast to retrieve?

    - by ajsie
    i've got a list of all countries - states - cities (- subcities/villages etc) in a XML file and to retrieve for example a state's all cities it's really quick with XML (using xml parser). i wonder, if i put all this information in mysql, is retrieving a state's all cities as fast as with XML? cause XML is designed to store hierarchical data while relational databases like mysql are not. the list contains like 500 000 entities. so i wonder if its as fast as XML using either of: Adjacency list model Nested Set model And which one should i use? Cause (theoretically) there could be unlimited levels under a state. And which is fastest for this huge dataset? Thanks!

  • Using a variable name in XMLHttpRequest

    - by Paul
    Hi All, I am using jQuery and trying to load a variable in place of a named xml file. My Code: $(document).ready(function() { // bind 'myForm' and provide a simple callback function $('#theForm').ajaxForm(function(responseXML2) { var myxml = responseXML2; alert(responseXML2); displayResult(); }); }); function loadXMLDoc(dname) { if (window.XMLHttpRequest) { alert("loading xmlhttprequest"); xhttp=new XMLHttpRequest(); } else { alert("loading activeX"); xhttp=new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); } alert("bottom load"); xhttp.open("GET",dname,false); xhttp.send(); return xhttp.responseXML; } function displayResult() { alert("setting vars"); alert("displayResult called"); //xml=loadXMLDoc(responseXML2); //tried this and the line below, among others xml=responseXML2; alert("xmlDocLoaded"); xsl=loadXMLDoc("xslt-test.xsl"); alert("XSLloaded"); // code for IE if (window.ActiveXObject) { alert("IE"); ex=xml.transformNode(xsl); document.getElementById("ieiresponse").innerHTML=ex; } // code for Mozilla, Firefox, Opera, etc. else if (document.implementation && document.implementation.createDocument) { alert("notIE"); xsltProcessor=new XSLTProcessor(); xsltProcessor.importStylesheet(xsl); resultDocument = xsltProcessor.transformToFragment(xml,document); document.getElementById("ieiresponse").appendChild(resultDocument); } } In the code above I want to have: //xml=loadXMLDoc(responseXML2); //tried this and the line below, among others xml=responseXML2; instead of a named file: xsl=loadXMLDoc("example.xml"); When I run through the code, it works if I name the file, but when I use the variable, (which does show up in alerts, so is being pulled), it stops the code at the above line (placing the variable as the xml file) Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance.

  • Powershell's import-clixml from string

    - by rocku
    Is there any way to run import-clixml cmdlet on a string or xml object? It requires a file path as input to produce ps objects and can't get input from an xml object. Since there is convertto-xml cmdlet which serializes ps object into xml object, why isn't there a convertfrom-xml, which would do the opposite? I am aware of System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer class which would do just that, however I would like to stick with cmdlets to do this. Is there any way to do this with cmdlets (probably just with import-clixml), without creating temporary files?

  • SimpleXMLElement empty object

    Hi, I am trying to parse an xml file using XmlReader but although I am getting a return from the xml file for the (commission) node for some reason I am getting an empty SimpleXMLElement Object returned as well. I don't know if its something to do with while loop,switch or something I missed in the parse setup. This is the xml file I am trying to read from, as you can see there is only 1 result returned: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <cj-api> <commissions total-matched="1"> <commission> <action-status> new </action-status> <action-type> lead </action-type> <aid> 10730981 </aid> <commission-id> 1021015513 </commission-id> <country> </country> <event-date> 2010-05-08T08:08:55-0700 </event-date> <locking-date> 2010-06-10 </locking-date> <order-id> 345007 </order-id> <original> true </original> <original-action-id> 787692438 </original-action-id> <posting-date> 2010-05-08T10:01:22-0700 </posting-date> <website-id> 3201921 </website-id> <cid> 2815954 </cid> <advertiser-name> SPS EurosportBET </advertiser-name> <commission-amount> 0 </commission-amount> <order-discount> 0 </order-discount> <sid> 0 </sid> <sale-amount> 0 </sale-amount> </commission> </commissions> </cj-api> This is my parser: <?php // read $response (xml feed) $file = "datafeed.xml"; $xml = new XMLReader; $xml->open($file); // loop to read in data while ($xml->read()) { switch ($xml->name) { // find the parent node for each commission payment case 'commission': // initalise xml parser $dom = new DomDocument(); $dom_node = $xml ->expand(); $element = $dom->appendChild($dom_node); $dom_string = $dom->saveXML($element); $commission = new SimpleXMLElement($dom_string); // read in data $action_status = $commission->{'action-status'}; $action_type = $commission->{'action-type'}; $aid = $commission->{'aid'}; $commission_id = $commission->{'commission-id'}; $country = $commission->{'country'}; $event_date = $commission->{'event-date'}; $locking_date = $commission->{'locking-date'}; $order_id = $commission->{'order-id'}; $original = $commission->{'original'}; $original_action_id = $commission->{'original_action-id'}; $posting_date = $commission->{'posting-date'}; $website_id = $commission->{'website-id'}; $cid = $commission->{'cid'}; $advertiser_name = $commission->{'advertiser-name'}; $commission_amount = $commission->{'commission-amount'}; $order_discount = $commission->{'order-discount'}; $sid = $commission->{'sid'}; $sale_amount = $commission->{'sale-amount'}; print_r($aid); break; } } ?> The result is : SimpleXMLElement Object ( [0] => 10730981 ) SimpleXMLElement Object ( ) Why is it returning the second object: SimpleXMLElement Object ( ) and what do I need to do correct it?   • Jquery, ajax() and each(), how to wait untill all info is really loaded?

    - by Moustard
    Hello, I have a function using $.ajax() to get values from an XML file, when the info is loaded and success event is fired, I use $(xml).find('').each(function(){}); to populate some vars... function getData() { $.ajax({ type: 'GET', url : 'info.xml', dataType: 'xml', success: function(xml) { $(xml).find('DATAS').each(function() { date = new Date($(this).attr('DATE')); alert(date); }) //Here I have a bigger find/each that should take more time }, error: function() { return false; } }); } In this case, when I trigger the function from the document ready function, the alert shows the right data, but If I remove the alert from the function and try this instead, date wont be defined yet: $(document).ready(function() { if(getData() != false) { alert(date); } }); I guess in this case the data is not ready yet? Is there a way to keep control on when the whole each() traversing is finished and ready?

  • Appropriate design / technologies to handle dynamic string formatting?

    - by Mark W
    recently I was tasked with implementing a way of adding support for versioning of hardware packet specifications to one of our libraries. First a bit of information about the project. We have a hardware library which has classes for each of the various commands we support sending to our hardware. These hardware modules are essentially just lights with a few buttons, and a 2 or 4 digit display. The packets typically follow the format {SOH}AADD{ETX}, where AA is our sentinel action code, and DD is the device ID. These packet specs are different from one command to the next obviously, and the different firmware versions we have support different specifications. For example, on version 1 an action code of 14 may have a spec of {SOH}AADDTEXT{ETX} which would be AA = 14 literal, DD = device ID, TEXT = literal text to display on the device. Then we come out with a revision with adds an extended byte(s) onto the end of the packet like this {SOH}AADDTEXTE{ETX}. Assume the TEXT field is fixed width for this example. We have now added a new field onto the end which could be used to say specify the color or flash rate of the text/buttons. Currently this java library only supports one version of the commands, the latest. In our hardware library we would have a class for this command, say a DisplayTextArgs.java. That class would have fields for the device ID, the text, and the extended byte. The command class would expose a method which generates the string ("{SOH}AADDTEXTE{ETX}") using the value from the class. In practice we would create the Args class as needed, populate the fields, call the method to get our packet string, then ship that down across the CAN. Some of our other commands specification can vary for the same command, on the same version, depending on some runtime state. For example, another command for version 1 may be {SOH}AA{ETX}, where this action code clears all of the modules behind a specific controller device of their text. We may overload this packet to have option fields with multiple meanings like {SOH}AAOC{ETX} where OC is literal text, which tells the controller to only clear text on a specific module type, and to leave the others alone, or the spec could also have an option format of {SOH}AADD{ETX} to clear the text off a a specific device. Currently, in the method which generates the packet string, we would evaluate fields on the args class to determine which spec we will be using when formatting the packet. For this example, it would be along the lines of: if m_DeviceID != null then use {SOH}AADD{ETX} else if m_ClearOCs == true then use {SOH}AAOC{EXT} else use {SOH}AA{ETX} I had considered using XML, or a database to store String.format format strings, which were linked to firmware version numbers in some table. We would load them up at startup, and pass in the version number of the hardwares firmware we are currently using (I can query the devices for their firmware version, but the version is not included in all packets as part of the spec). This breaks down pretty quickly because of the dynamic nature of how we select which version of the command to use. I then considered using a rule engine to possibly build out expressions which could be interpreted at runtume, to evaluate the args class's state, and from that select the appropriate format string to use, but my brief look at rule engines for java scared me away with its complexity. While it seems like it might be a viable solution, it seems overly complex. So this is why I am here. I wouldn't say design is my strongest skill, and im having trouble figuring out the best way to approach this problem. I probably wont be able to radically change the args classes, but if the trade off was good enough, I may be able to convince my boss that the change is appropriate. What I would like from the community is some feedback on some best practices / design methodologies / API or other resources which I could use to accomplish: Logic to determine which set of commands to use for a given firmware version Of those command, which version of each command to use (based on the args classes state) Keep the rules logic decoupled from the application so as to avoid needing releases for every firmware version Be simple enough so I don't need weeks of study and trial and error to implement effectively.

  • What is the best way to solve an Objective-C namespace collision?

    - by Mecki
    Objective-C has no namespaces; it's much like C, everything is within one global namespace. Common practice is to prefix classes with initials, e.g. if you are working at IBM, you could prefix them with "IBM"; if you work for Microsoft, you could use "MS"; and so on. Sometimes the initials refer to the project, e.g. Adium prefixes classes with "AI" (as there is no company behind it of that you could take the initials). Apple prefixes classes with NS and says this prefix is reserved for Apple only. So far so well. But appending 2 to 4 letters to a class name in front is a very, very limited namespace. E.g. MS or AI could have an entirely different meanings (AI could be Artificial Intelligence for example) and some other developer might decide to use them and create an equally named class. Bang, namespace collision. Okay, if this is a collision between one of your own classes and one of an external framework you are using, you can easily change the naming of your class, no big deal. But what if you use two external frameworks, both frameworks that you don't have the source to and that you can't change? Your application links with both of them and you get name conflicts. How would you go about solving these? What is the best way to work around them in such a way that you can still use both classes? In C you can work around these by not linking directly to the library, instead you load the library at runtime, using dlopen(), then find the symbol you are looking for using dlsym() and assign it to a global symbol (that you can name any way you like) and then access it through this global symbol. E.g. if you have a conflict because some C library has a function named open(), you could define a variable named myOpen and have it point to the open() function of the library, thus when you want to use the system open(), you just use open() and when you want to use the other one, you access it via the myOpen identifier. Is something similar possible in Objective-C and if not, is there any other clever, tricky solution you can use resolve namespace conflicts? Any ideas? Update: Just to clarify this: answers that suggest how to avoid namespace collisions in advance or how to create a better namespace are certainly welcome; however, I will not accept them as the answer since they don't solve my problem. I have two libraries and their class names collide. I can't change them; I don't have the source of either one. The collision is already there and tips on how it could have been avoided in advance won't help anymore. I can forward them to the developers of these frameworks and hope they choose a better namespace in the future, but for the time being I'm searching a solution to work with the frameworks right now within a single application. Any solutions to make this possible?

  • How to pass XML to DB using XMLTYPE

    - by James Taylor
    Probably not a common use case but I have seen it pop up from time to time. The question how do I pass XML from a queue or web service and insert it into a DB table using XMLTYPE.In this example I create a basic table with the field PAYLOAD of type XMLTYPE. I then take the full XML payload of the web service and insert it into that database for auditing purposes.I use SOA Suite 11.1.1.2 using composite and mediator to link the web service with the DB adapter.1. Insert Database Objects Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} --Create XML_EXAMPLE_TBL Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} CREATE TABLE XML_EXAMPLE_TBL (PAYLOAD XMLTYPE); Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} --Create procedure LOAD_TEST_XML Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} CREATE or REPLACE PROCEDURE load_test_xml (xmlFile in CLOB) IS   BEGIN     INSERT INTO xml_example_tbl (payload) VALUES (XMLTYPE(xmlFile));   --Handle the exceptions EXCEPTION   WHEN OTHERS THEN     raise_application_error(-20101, 'Exception occurred in loadPurchaseOrder procedure :'||SQLERRM || ' **** ' || xmlFile ); END load_test_xml; / 2. Creating New SOA Project TestXMLTYPE in JDeveloperIn JDeveloper either create a new Application or open an existing Application you want to put this work.Under File -> New -> SOA Tier -> SOA Project   Provide a name for the Project, e.g. TestXMLType Choose Empty Composite When selected Empty Composite click Finish.3. Create Database Connection to Stored ProcedureA Blank composite will be displayed. From the Component Palette drag a Database Adapter to the  External References panel. and configure the Database Adapter Wizard to connect to the DB procedure created above.Provide a service name InsertXML Select a Database connection where you installed the table and procedure above. If it doesn't exist create a new one. Select Call a Stored Procedure or Function then click NextChoose the schema you installed your Procedure in step 1 and query for the LOAD_TEST_XML procedure.Click Next for the remaining screens until you get to the end, then click Finish to complete the database adapter wizard.4. Create the Web Service InterfaceDownload this sample schema that will be used as the input for the web service. It does not matter what schema you use this solution will work with any. Feel free to use your own if required. singleString.xsd Drag from the component palette the Web Service to the Exposed Services panel on the component.Provide a name InvokeXMLLoad for the service, and click the cog icon.Click the magnify glass for the URL to browse to the location where you downloaded the xml schema above.  Import the schema file by selecting the import schema iconBrowse to the location to where you downloaded the singleString.xsd above.Click OK for the Import Schema File, then select the singleString node of the imported schema.Accept all the defaults until you get back to the Web Service wizard screen. The click OK. This step has created a WSDL based on the schema we downloaded earlier.Your composite should now look something like this now.5. Create the Mediator Routing Rules Drag a Mediator component into the middle of the Composite called ComponentsGive the name of Route, and accept the defaultsLink the services up to the Mediator by connecting the reference points so your Composite looks like this.6. Perform Translations between Web Service and the Database Adapter.From the Composite double click the Route Mediator to show the Map Plan. Select the transformation icon to create the XSLT translation file.Choose Create New Mapper File and accept the defaults.From the Component Palette drag the get-content-as-string component into the middle of the translation file.Your translation file should look something like thisNow we need to map the root element of the source 'singleString' to the XMLTYPE of the database adapter, applying the function get-content-as-string.To do this drag the element singleString to the left side of the function get-content-as-string and drag the right side of the get-content-as-string to the XMLFILE element of the database adapter so the mapping looks like this. You have now completed the SOA Component you can now save your work, deploy and test.When you deploy I have assumed that you have the correct database configurations in the WebLogic Console based on the connection you setup connecting to the Stored Procedure. 7. Testing the ApplicationOpen Enterprise Manager and navigate to the TestXMLTYPE Composite and click the Test button. Load some dummy variables in the Input Arguments and click the 'Test Web Service' buttonOnce completed you can run a SQL statement to check the install. In this instance I have just used JDeveloper and opened a SQL WorksheetSQL Statement Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} select * from xml_example_tbl; Result, you should see the full payload in the result.
